As you know, each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today is the first Thankful Thursday Blog Hop of 2020, isn’t that hard to believe?!?! Anyways, today I’m thankful for a day to rest up from all of the holiday festivities. Oh, and those pesky fireworks that could be going off for at least the rest of the week. Fortunately they weren’t as bad this year, even Brother Simon didn’t go into hiding, but the noise was still there. Between the fireworks and all the holiday things I’ve managed to get behind on my rest. Do you believe that? Nah, me neither, maybe instead of saying I’m behind on my rest I should say I’ll be resting on my behind MOL!
Plus, the Christmas Tree will be coming down tomorrow and I’m thankful we all enjoyed it so much. So, those are my thankfuls for today. What are you thankful for? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Oh Brian, I’m green with envy, because I have to GO BACK TO WORK today!
Da Boyz will miss me as their human cat bed, and I’ll miss being able to smooch on five kitties at will ALL DAY LONG!
Then again, I am thankful to have a job, because cat food AINT’t cheap…
My human is already getting back to regular life! It seems like it was such a short holiday this time.
We went away for Christmas so didn’t put up decorations, just the cards. They will stay up until Twelfth Night.
We can see the fireworks across the river from our window (Eric used to love to watch them) and we hear them in the village. Surprisingly this year we only heard them on New Year’s Eve. Maybe some people are getting the message at last.
Good to hear you had a good New Year celebration and can now enjoy a good nap!
We are ready to get back to normal 😉
Purrs,Georgia and Julie
You deserve a peaceful rest, Brian, I think we all do😸The firecrackers were terrible this year, but Granny says I really was very brave…maybe because she filled me up with her remedies…MOL 😀 Thank you for continue this bloghop throughout the year🎉 Pawkisses for a Happy Thankful Thursday to you all🐾😽💞
Thankfully our fireworks weren’t too bad. The loudest ones were around 8-9 PM so we were still awake. Get some good rest!
Brian, you do look so comfy there with that pillow. We so hope all of you have a great day.
We are also thankful that all the festivities are over! As fun as they are, they wear us out, and we’re happy to get back to our old routines.
Glad the fireworks were not that bad. Thanks for hosting. have a great day! XO
You certainly do need to rest after snoopervising all of Christmas and New Years. We didn’t have such a bad time with the fireworks here, either, and i’m not sure why.
Thank you for hosting, and may your 2020 be blessed!
Brian you and Arty over at LLB Gang are both snoozing with your head on a pillow…
as I said to him snooze on beauty sleep in impawtant.
You look so adorable I would like to head for my tunnel just to pop over and look at you.
Brian dear furiend, thank you for hosting this blog hop. 2019 simply sped by, didn’t it? I’m thinking 2020 will be a special year and the positive changes we’ve seen begin worldwide will gain momentum this year. So glad we don’t have many fireworks here!
Enjoy your snooze. We wish the tree could stay up FOREVER!!!
The Florida Furkids
You do look like you’re having a good nap Brian……takes us a while to recover from all the festivities of the holidays doesn’t it. Mom and Dad took our tree down yesterday and I was napping in another room at the time – when I came into the library and MY tree was gone I was quite upset! I even tried to dig a hole in the carpet where the tree had been in case it fell through and needed rescuing!
Holidays are busy times, best to catch up on your rest now that they’re over. Nap on sweet Brian!
We are all relaxing here too Brian. It sure was a quiet New Years and we hope that is a trend. Wishing you and yours a very happy New Year
Yes resting is a good thing. We do more this time of year with all the invites and other things we tend to do. It’s good to get the tree down and return to a normal pace.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your siblings and your peeps. ♥
Oh ~ your fur persons know how to ‘rest’ so well ~ sweet photo ~ ^_^
Happy Moments to You,

We are thankful to live in a community where loud fireworks are illegal. The few idiots can’t disturb the many.
I’m thankful it was quiet around my neighborhood this past week.
I am so glad that you get to snooze and catch up on your rest now, Brian!
We are Thankful it rained on by the time the clock struck midnight on New Year’s…so it was quieter than usual too! Happy Napping!
Arty, Jakey & Rosy
We are enjoying the quiet time after the holidays as well. Have a good nap!
Happy New Year! You sure have lots to be thankful for.
Rest is surely needed after a month of holiday festivities! Our tree and decorations came down yesterday and the family room looks naked! Clean start for the year, right? Looks like you kept one candy-cane striped pillow for your nap. Good job! I wish you all a wonderful 2020! X
Awww, what a sweet photo. Mom is home today, she’s feeling under the weather and this is photo is just the right medicine to cure her. Thank you. And the best of 2020 to everyone.
We’re all for resting away with little to none of those booms going off.
We had a lot of fireworks on New Year’s Eve, but it’s been quiet since then, thank cod. We hope you can catch up on your much needed rest, Brian.
We’re sad the holidays are over, but kind of ready for a little “normal” too!
I’m ready for a time for rest, too. It’s been a busy couple of weeks. Phew! Have a good weekend, furriend!
Brian, that is just the perfect position for a nice nap! Happy snoozing!
We too are thankful to be getting back to our normal routine. All the family visiting is done for a bit, and the Christmas decorations are all stored away. At the same time, we are happy and grateful for the good times the holidays brought.
We had fireworks here too, and they woke us all up. But at least they didn’t last too long.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We’re grateful it snowed so our obnoxious neighbors limited their fireworks. There isn’t a lot of that activity here for New Years because of weather issues
I am glad the fireworks weren’t too bad. Let’s hope that is a trend
Happy New Year Brian! This week I tried to link up several times but the linky refuses to let me (tried on two different browsers). Here is the link – if you can add it, great – if not, wanted to let you know I stopped by to visit you and the cats! 🙂 https://www.create-with-joy.com/2020/01/friendship-friday-blog-hop-412.html
“Behind on my rest and resting my behind” is a good way to put it! Get ready for a long and perhaps difficult 2020… Starting it with a good long rest is wise.
Mom says she could stand a little rest on her behind, but we don’t think she will look as cute as you doing it, Brian. Mom is thankful to have 2019 in the past. We are thankful for lots of great Christmas gifts and heated floors. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Hhppy New Year and that sweet feline has the right idea. Rest is good after the festivities of the holiday season. HUGS
Yep, Christmas is as far away now as it ever way. Grampa used to say that every year on Christmas night and as a young kid it always depressed the hell out of TW.
I hope you enjoyed your day of rest! It was back to work for me, but the kitties certainly did rest.
Charlee: “It’s always a good time to rest! Am I right, Chaplin?”
Chaplin: “Yes you are!”
Yes, it’s a great day for snoozing, Brian. Hey, you can come visit us … the humans aren’t taking down our tree until this coming week. 🙂
Awww rest! It’s ALWAYS a good thing!
