As you can tell, I was in the cube hidey hole. Why? Well, I saw the PTU (Prisoner Transport Unit) come out and that usually means a car ride to the Vet. While I love our Vet and don’t mind being there at all, I do not like car rides, nope, not at all. However, there’s one kitty that dislikes car rides more that me and that’s Sister Dolly. Yes, it was her turn for her annual check up, so she asked me if she could do the thankful today. So, hello Dolly!

Yes, it was my turn and I drew the short Nip Straw. But I’m sure thankful that it’s over. Like Brian, I do like our Vet, she is the one that took me in, saved me and got me well enough to come to my forever home. Dr. Anderson at the Cat Clinic of Greenville is very special to me and I’m thankful she saved me. I really don’t like car rides and I complained about it the whole way, roundtrip!
Anyways, at our special cat only Vet, they do everything in the room unless it is x-rays, and those have to be done in another room. So, it was my “senior” wellness visit so that meant a full exam, blood work and a urinalysis. The exam went fine, heart sounded great and so did my lungs. Normal temperature, yes, I know, but I didn’t even wiggle. They shaved some of my furs and stole some blood right there in the exam room. Then they put a needle in and stole some pee.
I’m most thankful that all of the tests came back normal, hooray! The Dad was concerned about the look of some of my furs on my back but the Vet said I was just a bit too round and could reach there to clean them. Round? Really? The Dad has cleaned them with some kitty wipes. I also have 2 warts that needed checked but they looked okay too. I am a lucky girl and have lots to be thankful for, and thanks to Brother Brian for letting me tell you about it.
We’re thankful your check up was good too Sister Dolly. What about y’all, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Hi Brian. We haven’t stopped by for a visit in like forever but we’re here today just to see you guys and we like your hidey hole Brian. Dolly your vet sounds wonderful. We have a remarkable lady vet also. We all really like her but hate the car ride to see her. Shoko and I sing the song of the Meezer clan while Budd sings the lonesome song of the ferals. It’s very sad. Mom and dad don’t care…Budd still has to go to the vets.

Hooray for the great vet visit! It’s not fun to go, but it’s less fun to get sick and not get it treated early and have worse problems because of it.
Hooray for a good vet visit, Dolly. We are thankful that you got those great results!
I am thankful to have such good blogging buddies. I am thankful our fur-baby Maggie is doing well despite her advanced age of 18. I am thankful for family and friends around the world.
We are all really thankful that your vet visit went well Dolly. It is just so nice to hear good news when visiting friends. Brian we have a cubby like that but like other places more. Dad says that is like it is with us cats and we agree. Purrs all
oh how great that the vet had such good news for you!!!!
I’m so glad you had a good checkup, Dolly!
I am glad you had an all round good vet visit, Dolly. I know those car trips are stressful though. Flynn used to scream out his warrior songs at the top of his voice. Eric, as laid back as ever used to fold his arms and pass the trip snoozing.
WooHoo! We are happy that you had a good Vet visit and checked out OK!!!!
It is not our fave place either , but we do not mind once we are there too much 😉
Purrs,Georgia and Julie
We don’t mind car rides, but don’t like being at the vet! Glad you are a healthy girl.
Dolly they called you ROUND and stole you Pee……………………talk about adding insult to injury!! What they heck all in one day.
I’m thankful it is over. Lovin’ those eyes
Hugs Cecilia
Hello Dolly& Brian. I’m very happy that all is well… I like my vet and even the trip there, but I object the assistant, who brazenly thinks she can take my temperature without purrmission! I don’t think she’ll ever have the courage to violate me like that, again!
Dolly, we’re glad that in spite of the ordeal of getting there (and home), all is well! We’re glad your results are good, that’s super news and definitely something for which to be thankful. 🙂
Hooray! Nothing is better than a good Vet report! I’m thankful you are doing well sweet Dolly.
A good check up is certainly something to be thankful for. Sorry you had to ride in the car to get there though. We think vets should do house calls. Wouldn’t that be nicer?
I am so glad your tests were good. Sorry you don’t like car rides. My cats only cry on the way there, not round trip. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day! XO
Excellent news! Nice to have that done and out of the way and to have GOOD results too!! YAY!
Hugs, Teddy
I’m glad your annual visit went well, but sorry about that car ride. I’ve never had a kitty that likes car rides so I understand.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your siblings and your peeps. ♥
I’m glad to hear your check up went well and everything is normal.
Always great news to get a clean bill of health! Yeah. Mom is thankful for the eight of us. She likes never being alone or lonely! We are thankful for our forever home! XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Oh Dolly, so glad you had such a good vet visit. That is such good news. No blog post from us since the Mom had to take the two
gray kittens to have their surgeries. And she had to go very early for that. Hope you all have a great day.
Dolly, you are simply a doll baby, and although going to the vet is no fun for anyone, making sure you are in good health is worth its weight in gold to your humans!
That sounds really good, Dolly and we’re so Thankful that everything went out fine for you😸Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday to all of you🐾😽💞
What a relief sister Dolly’s check-up went well! This is a wonderful thing to tell on a Thankful Thursday.

Sister Dolly, we are so happy that you had a good vet visit!! ♥
That is very good news that you are okay, Dolly.
Dolly, I haver to re-learn not to be afraid of going to the Vet office. The other place I used to go scared me so badly now I am afraid. I am so glad you have a good check up. Mom has to haul out the PTU and take me to get my caws cut. BUT in March, it will be my semi-annual.
Oh Dolly, we are so very happy your Vet visit went so well!!

Sister Dolly, no one really wants to go to the vet, but with a good report like that, it was worth it. Happy for you.

That’s a whole lot to be thankful for!!!

Dolly, we are all doing the happy dance for your great vet report. Our Jasmine just had the whole “senior” test rigamarole last week and she had good news too. Also, our vet told us that now they don’t refer to us as “geriatric” cats, we are Super Seniors! Stay well my furiend!

Every week I’m thankful for what you’re thankful for. This week I’m glad Pop kept his promise when he put me in the PTU and said we weren’t going to the vet.
Purrs for your good checkup Sister Dolly !
We’re glad you got a good report from the vet, Dolly. And now you don’t have to worry about going in awhile.
That’s wonderful news!!!
PTU – love it – so aptly name! We had to pull out the PTU last week to take Tsunami to the groomer. You would have thought we were taking him to death row the way he howled and yowled – but at the end of his appt, he couldn’t wait to jump back in (as he knows at that point we really haven’t abandoned him, we’ve loved him and are bringing him back home!)
Glad your trip to the vet turned out to be routine! 🙂
Good for you, Dolly!
Sister Dolly – it sounds like you have best vet in the world for kitties! I’m so glad that you love your vet so much, and that you got such a GREAT report 🙂
A good vet appointment is always something to be happy about.
Great news all is ok at the vets! Happy Purrsday to mew all! XOX
Mine all hate the vets! Great photos 😀
YAY Sister Dolly! That is soooo great that your Vet visit went well! We are so happy! As for being “round”, Mom can sure relate to THAT one! MOL! And…Dakota is going to the Vet tomorrow for bloodwork, a shot and a check up. Cross your paws for him ok? Lots of love from all of us!
Aww, sorry about the car ride, but so glad to hear you’re a healthy kitty, Dolly! <3
Great that everything came back okay. They sure can do almost everything in one room, and yeah, we aren’t a fan of car rides either.
We are glad to hear the good news, Sister Dolly!
Chaplin: “Hooray for a good vet visit!”
Charlee: “If you have to go to the vet, then a good visit is the kind you want!”
Oh Dolly, we’re so glad to hear your visit was good and you’re doin’ well. To be honmest, we didn’t know kitties could get warts.? But, we’re so very fankful they’re okay. Big hugs fur all, and extra fur you fur bein’ so brave.
Luv ya’
