Today is the day to have some fun
Ignore those things that make you run.
I hear those things even inside
And oh those noises make me hide.
Dr. Seuss is the hero today,
With all those characters I want to play.
Just like toys I’ll do some sorting’
Then I’ll play with that famous Horton.
I really didn’t hear a Who
But Mower Man I’ll run from you.
I always have to run and duck
Oh crap here comes the garbage truck.
But not today I will not hide
I’ll be brave and safe inside.
I will not flap just like a goose
Instead we’ll honor Dr. Seuss.
