If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today I’m thankful for the super care the Mom gave us while our Dad was in the hospital. Granted, it was only for one night but considering the Dad always feeds us, the Dad always gives me my 5 meds and there were tornadoes near by, the Mom did great. With the Dad being in the hospital we knew the Mom was pretty stressed.
The feeding isn’t easy since the Dad spoils us, we all get our own special menu with varies from breakfast to dinner. The Dad sent the Mom instructions and we cooperated nicely. Then, the Dad sent instructions on what meds to give me when. I am always cooperative for my Meds with the Dad but the Mom has never had to do it. I let her give me my pills and pain meds with no problem. Then, the tornadoes were showing up. The Dad spent lots of years dealing with emergency situations so he always knows what to do and when to do it. The Mom stepped right up, got our carriers in the safety zone and was ready to go with the plan if we needed it. Thankfully we didn’t need it.
We’re sure thankful for the care our Mom gave us, Mom we love you, ya done good!!! What are you thankful for today? Tell us i the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
p.s. Several of you asked about the Dad and his follow-up Doctor appointment. His family doctor says he has bronchitis on top of horrific seasonal allergies. He got some meds to help kick it in the butt.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Hope you day is going well.
We are delighted that your dad is home as you are also. The food person out of commission upsets the apple cart. We get used to a certain menu and when it is cut off we suffer…in our minds anyway.

Hooray for your Mom! It sounds like once your Dad gets better, she will deserve a little spoiling herself.

Good news re: your dad, we’re glad it’s “just” bronchitis and allergies and will be fairly easily remedied (we hope).

You are super lucky to have your mom to fill in when there is an emergency. Glad your dad will be alright. Hopefully his medicines will kick in quickly.
Oh dear, the picture thingie kept saying our picture didn’t work, so we kept trying, and now, well, if you would please, remove blog hop entries 11 through 15. Yikes!
Your Mom did really great. Our Mom has been slowly teaching our Dad how to take care of us “just in case.” XOX Xena and Lucy
That is a LOT for your Dad to deal with but thank goodness it is that and not a heart problem. It sounds as though things are looking better with proper treatment. I know that was scary for all of you, Brian. I can appreciate that. Your Mom did so well, having all of the responsibility for all of you in frightening weather conditions. And medicating you, Brian…it’s so important to do and I imagine she was having worries about getting it done properly what with being unfamiliar with it. ALL is well, and I am grateful for all of… Read more »
We dont know what we would do if Dad ever had to go away but he says he has plans in place so we would be ok. Here is a big purr for your Mom Brian.
I knew the mom would do a good job. It’s what moms do when they have to. I’m glad all the kitties helped mom too.

You look amazing <3
YAY FOR MOM! Sounds like she did a great “fill-in” for Dad. But that Dad of yours is certainly needing a lot of TLC – hospital stay AND bronchitis and allergies? NO FUN!!!!! Take care of him. It’s what we do right??

Your mom had her work cut out for her! I bet dad was really worried about all of you while he was in the hospital, probably more than about himself!
Brian, your mom deserves extra hugs and snuggle time. And I hope your mom will be able to relax a bit now that your dad is back home and feels better.
We are thankful that you Dad is doing well and for your awesome mom who took care of all of you alone during a very stressful time.
Yay for Mom!!!!!!! She had a lot on her mind so I am really glad that she was able to juggle everyone’s needs.
I am also thankful that your dad is okay. Really thankful.

Oh dear, Terry, I did not know that you had been hospitalized – I sure hope you are well!
I’m sure Mom took great care of you and the cats while you were away but praying for a speedy recovery!
xoxo from all of us!
Oh WOW, sorry to read about the dad being in the hospital! Bronchitis is bad stuff. Although I’ve not been diagnosed with ever having it I believe there was one time the head stuff got some awful that it moved into my chest. I was so miserably. It’s not a good time to be dealing with any type of lung inflammation right now. The allergy season isn’t making it any easier, either. I’m dealing with more headaches that usual because of the pollen. Y’all take care and stay healthy now!
Great job, Mom! It’s the opposite around here; I take care of feeding Luke and the Dad sometimes has to fill in for me. He also does a good job! 🙂
Glad your Dad got a diagnosis and they can help him to feel better now.
Charlee: “That was a scary situation for more than one reason, but your Mom did a great job, Brian!”
