Hello gang, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. You all know that I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Okay, this may be old hat to most of you kitties, and believe me I know a thing or two about old hats, but it’s extra special here. Today I’m thankful for the return of window whiffies. You see, it’s probably been 8 or 9 years since we had a window whiff and Simon and Seal have never had one since they’ve lived inside.
If your new to our blog, Angels Gracie and Kit both had really bad asthma. So, for their health we all voted to give up our window whiffies. Well, the Dad and Mom voted, but we went along with it. Even though Angels Gracie and Kit have been gone for a while the Dad didn’t miss the whiffies so it never crossed his mind. Then, the other day he had an Ah Ha moment, cleaned out the windows and open they went.
Oh boy, I was right there, so was Zoe and Dolly. Even Seal checked out the windows. Poor Simon was afraid of the open windows for the first couple of days…silly boy. But, it was just because it was something new and he wasn’t used to hearing the outside noises on the inside. Now he loves the window whiffies too…

We’re sure thankful to be able to have some open windows once again!!! What are you thankful for today? Tell us i the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Window whiffies are great for you indoor kitties. It give you a taste of outdoors without any of the danger.
That was a great surprise for all!!! We love having the screens back in the storm doors here. Our human brother-in-law did that for Mom last weekend. We especially love having that front door open so we can see and hear everything that goes on in the street. Now if only we could get Mom to take down that darn gate that keeps us from getting close to that screen . . .

Brian it was so very loving and kind for you to give up the sniffin’ the breezes for your angels.
Everyone enjoy them. Is it as windy in SC as it has been in NC for the last month and a half?

Oh I bet opening a window and getting fresh air is a BIGGIE there……..I’m lucky in that Mom and Dad take me out and after two years of leash/harness I don’t even have to wear that anymore. I know my yard and I know to stay close to Mom and Dad. We all get our fresh air whiffies together!! Thanks for hosting the Hop you guys!
Hugs, Teddy

Glad you finally got the windows open. Hope good weather stays for you.
Oh that is so nice that dad had that moment!!! I think I would have my hands full with Lily Bit if she was not allowed on the deck. Big problems comes into play in the winter, cause I am not leaving the back door cracked for her to come in and out and that is what she is used to. This past winter so so mild that we had some 50 and above days pretty often so I did crack the door and let her go in and out….if the next winter is bad I will be hearing about… Read more »

oh my…Lucy loves the open windows! Let the sun shine in!
Ha!!! So it was the windows Simon was afraid of! We are thankful that we ordered some meat online before this shortage, we didn’t order a lot at all but enough for a couple weeks!
Oh, my, that’s extra special! So long without them! Ours are open all summer long, but tell your dad that our Basil has to wear a calming collar when they are first opened for the year because all the noises scare him too! That’s the only thing that helps him relax and enjoy. Happy spring!
We agree that window whiffies are wonderful things! We’re so glad you have yours back!
We think you look so regal in that first pic, Brian!

Window Whiffies are wonderful !
What a delight! Mudpie is obsessed with her window whiffies.
Whoa! I’ve been getting whiffies and I’ve been fine with them. Early this morning my asthma attacked me for the first time in a few years. During those years, the windows have been open a lot. The peeps are wondering if that triggered it. Oh, and they found out our new windows open from both sides; the left and the right for even more air.
Glad you’re enjoying the window whiffies! Today we’re thankful for the arrival of our window AC in our office as we’ve been in the high 90s all week!
We would love a window wiffle. I wonder why only cats get them.
Watching out of the window is a favorite thing I see our felines doing daily. Maybe you all secretly work for an organization? I sure hope it is a good and honest one. Love the photos here. Makes me smile every time. HUGS for a great weekend!
Happy cats <3
We love, love, love getting the fresh air inside! But here it’s been too cold lately to do so, other than a couple days last weekend! Can you send a little warmth our way?
Charlee: “Hooray for window whiffies!” Chaplin: “We do love our open windows this time of year!” Charlee: “Plus the air conditioner is broken and so Mama and Dada have been leaving the front door open with just the screen door, so now we can get whiffies from there, and look out into the street.” Chaplin: “That NEVER happened when Dennis was here.” Lulu: “Why not?” Charlee: “Well he would look out at the street and get scared because of the people or dogs out there.” Lulu: “Oh, okay. They don’t scare me. But they sure are fun to bark at… Read more »
