It’s Mancat Monday, again, already. Dang, it seems like I just did my Mancat Monday post and here I am with another. Hey, that’s okay, I don’t mind one bit, I always like chatting with you and Monday is a mighty fine day to do just that.
Let me ask you though, did you hear that? I did, and it appears the F word is headed our way, again. Of course, the F word is FIREWORKS. They’ll really be flying when the 4th of July gets here but they were going off this past weekend. Yep, those noisy things are legal here so they don’t really even need a holiday to make lots of noise.
The mobile Firework Trailers are already set up and humans are buying. Social distancing? Not. Even though everything is open here, our Department of Health and Environmental Control has declared our County a Covid-19 Hotspot. Maybe that’s why the goofy humans are setting off fireworks, to celebrate?!?! Probably. Oh well, where did I put my ear muffs???

Brian, be safe, be careful. NZ has done its best to remove the virus and everyone co-operated. Some of these careless people need to get with the program. This nasty thing hurts, and kills.

Y’know, there’ve been idiots around here shooting them damn things off already. Right in our back yard area they do, but they don’t bother me much. Dad gets up and goes out on the deck to look and listen, and swear up a storm, then mom comes out to take a look and to tell dad to get his nosy a** back inside and pay them no mind.
We hate fireworks. They are too noisy and once you’ve seen one display you’ve seen them all!

Mom is dreading the fireworks too because Bailie is so scared of them. Wish they would not sell them and people wouldn’t set them off for weeks rather than just on the 4th of July.
I hate those too. Mom does and all the cats who came before hated them. The mental age of these people who shoot those things off for two weeks, is like…3.

Oh no that’s the F word we don’t want to hear! There were some fireworks here during Memorial Day weekend and it was hard for Goro. I’m wishing a heavy rain for July 4th weekend!

People around here like setting off fireworks too.
We are just outside the city and close to a big lake.
However, some people not near the lake will set off those noisy things.
We do not mind too much as the sound does not seem like it is too close.

Last year we had rain and only a couple of brave souls (idiots) did fireworks in our neighborhood. Maybe the rain clouds will be our friends again this July 4th???

Brian, over Memorial Day weekend, lots of fireworks went off around here, but Da Boyz and Sweetie really didn’t seem to be bothered. I hope our town’s July 4th celebration is cancelled; the noise is too much for humans!

I’m sorry to hear you’re a hot spot now, people won’t listen to what they don’t want to hear. I see a few of our numbers decreasing, but they aren’t in proportion to how people are behaving.
We just got a notice from my mother’s landlord reminding people about fireworks, especially since there are many seniors living in the neighborhood and of course cats and dogs. It goes on for months around here and I’m pretty sure none of it is legal.
We had that same phenomena going on here. at all hours of the day or night we will hear the fireworks luckily it only lasts a short time. There are three college kids living in the house across the street and most of it comes from there but I have heard them from other places too

I so remember that. We had the same issues with Little Bit. She was terrified of fireworks. Worst four letter word of all.

Lexy is terrified of fireworks! Our mom always stays home on July 4th because of it. Not that she’s going anywhere these days!
We dislike fireworks too! They have scared our animals any time they were close. I might be okay with it if they took out the noise and only kept the visual effects, but people still need to be more careful with them than they usually are, to avoid injury and fires.
Ugh, it’s the loud time of year again and we want to hide. I wonder how the 4th will be different this year.

Fireworks are NO fun. We hope against hope that we don’t hear any in our neighborhood, but we’re sure that they will be going off.
Ugh! Fireworks are the worst! My human is glad they aren’t as bad in our neighborhood as they are in others, but we still hear some.
We aren’t crazy about those fireworks either. We worry about our Misty because she IS afraid of them. We hope it rains so they can’t use them:)

Fireworks are no fun for many of our pals. We have lots going off around us on the big holiday even though they aren’t legal where we live.
Fireworks already and it is still nearly a month away! I am glad we live out in the sticks so only see them in the distance.

We all hate the fireworks, and every time we hear them, we also hear another curse word from Mom.

We’ve been hearing them here too….Mama and Dad have already the summertime loud TV playing…usually that does the trick. Hang in there!

tee hee! we think fireworks is a four letter word, mol! it is funny you are posting this Brian, because we had those firework boomie things over our house on Caturday night. and our momma did not send us to camp this year. at least this is the end for us except for some smaller stuff people can buy (but only right before the 4th). Whew. I thought you were gonna cuss. Seeing you gets my week off to a great start. TW is starting to wonder about the Macy’s fireworks. NYC’s bozo mayor says they will go off.
Fire works are the worst. I don’t think of any us need a lot of loud bangs right now.
Fireworks are illegal here. A $1,000 fine. Our kids were enjoying a fire outside Saturday night with a friend. They heard, what they thought was fireworks. Someone was shot but fortunately not killed. Our neighborhood is so quiet and now this. It is very unnerving. Your photo is wonderful. Brian, My first thought the f-word headed your way again, I thought “OH no!” because the f-word that came mind is the dirty one so casually uttered by every brother, sister, mother, and father on cable TV. Fireworks isn’t an ugly f-word in my book but I understand why you don’t care for that f-word. The F-tents are probably gearing up out in the county here, but I haven’t looked yet. We live in the county and one of our neighbors use every excuse to set them off….Independence Day, Memorial Day, New Years, etc. Stay safe and find a bed to hide under!
