Hello everyone, greetings from the tree, it’s me Simon. Oh, you knew that? How did you know? Anyways, it’s really weird being up here in the tree, especially right at this moment. Well, the moment the picture was taken by our Mom. Even I couldn’t believe I was up here in the tree.
Why, you ask? I thought you’d ask. Anywho, as most of you know I have a fear of the mowing humans. Oh, that noisy stuff really scares me. I’d run and hide even if there were mower humans several houses down from ours. But today was a big brave turning point for me, really. There are mower humans across the street and I didn’t run and hide. The Mom and Dad said they were really proud of my bravery.
Our mowing humans usually show up on Thursday but that noise is still a bit too close for comfort so I still run and hide when they show up. But, I am making some progress, I only hide for an hour or so and I used to hide for hours and hours. Seal and Dolly hide too but Zoe and Brian could care less. Oh well, I’ve gotta do what I’ve gotta do!
Right now I’ve gotta do a nap, catch ya later. Have a fun Tuesday everyone. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
that mower guys are also not our friends, da nelly is in his hiding place too and I do my best to bark them away (didn’t work by now lol)
Well done, you are getting very brave, Simon!
Good job, Simon! Those mowers aren’t that big a deal, really.
You are doing great, Simon! Some things take time to get used to, and once you find out nothing bad happens they aren’t so scary anymore. One of our dogs, Sam, is a lot like you, and he is still learning.
That is interesting. Mom has never had a cat who cared about mowers. Glad you are getting used to it.
Hi there Simon. Glad you are getting a little braver about the mowing process. Those mowers are really scary. You all have a great day.
I am very proud of you sweet Simon.
Our 2 are not a fan of the our Thursday, mowing humans either…LOL
Simon, we do not blame you for being scared. Those machines are noisy and scary.
There was some mowing going on at our place. Mum was glad as it is a big yard and
takes a while to do.Julie likes to watch,Georgia not as interested 😉
Purrs,Georgia and Julie
Maybe Mom or Dad can find some special “kitty ear muffs” on Camazon dot com … ?
Noelle hides when the mowing people come too, even if they are next door.

This is Big Boys Mama talking to you sign in. I’m not afraid of the mower guy but the more sound makes me crazy and the more is my hubby Big Boy’s Daddy. And when it gets close to the windows I can’t even hear myself think. I’m proud of you for being brave
That is great progress. Noise is not fun at all. I so remember my babies hiding for hours and hours.
Have a purrfect day. My best to your siblings and your wonderful peeps. ♥
Maybe someday you will all come to see that as long as the mower humans stay outdoors you have nothing to fear. Even i wouldn’t want them in the house with those noises.
Hope your nap is everything a nap should be!
Simon, I dislike mowing people too, especially those blower thingies! I’m a human, so I’m not supposed to hide, but I want to!
Simon ~ you are so handsome and courageous ~ good for you not letting the sound of the mowers get to you
oh my goodness…Lucy doesn’t like any power motor sounds…..take care in the tree!
You are brave, Simon, my friend! The sound of mowers is a pain in my ears. Here, we have an electric contraption with the cord and housekeeper playing jumprope with it, hehe. Anyway, it doesn’t roar, it purrs!! – Tom x
We’re too high up in our building to be bothered with the mowers. I guess that’s a good thing!
You’re not only brave today Simon, you’re exceptionally handsome!
Trouble is afraid of the mower too.
Simon, Lightning says he understands not liking things like the mowers. He feels the same way about bikes and wagons and skateboards and scooters and on and on. At least the mowers are outside and you are safe in that inside tree.

Congratulations on your new found bravery, Simon! That is awesome. Manna and Dexter are not big fans of the mower humans either. You made a huge step today by staying out while all that noise was going on.
That was very brave of you, Simon. Mowers and blowers and all those other noisy yard tools can be very scary.
Kudos to you for getting yourself out of your comfort zone! Next, you’ll be watching them from the window! 🙂
Lawn mowers are SO annoying!
We usually bark at the mowing humans…they sure are annoying!

We understand about that loud mowing stuff, Simon. We don’t like it much either but for the most part, we ignore it.
Simon, I ain’t scared of nothing. OK, maybe I head into my office when there’s a move-in or move-out but that’s only until I realize that they’re not moving us.
We don’t mind the mowing. I think it is because we are outside in our buggy when it happens so we know what is going on. We don’t like noises we can’t identify.
Hey Simon – great progress on dealing with mowing humans. I don’t like them much either, especially when they think it is a good idea to mow at 7 am on a Saturday morning!
Good job, Simon! Our Ava says not to be afraid of the lawnmower dudes. She sits right at the window and watches them every time.
Your photo looks amazing (and handsome).
That’s great news, Simon, you are becoming a very brave boy! ♥
Lovely photo 😀
Simon I’m with you, while I don’t like the mowing things, I’m not afraid of them. I just wish they wouldn’t chase the birdies away so I can watch them! Love, Cody
