Hello everyone, it’s nice to see you on Mancat Monday, thanks for stopping by. There’s been a chill in the air these days here in the South, what a change from the hots, hots, hots we’ve had forever. It sure changed quickly, but that’s how it happens sometimes here in the South.
There was some good news with the chilly temps though, the fireplace was turned on. Boy we sure enjoy the extra warm stuff. Our furnace was on but there’s nothing quite like the warmth from the fireplace. We all seem to like it, even Mom and Dad. Well, Seal seems to mostly care less but Simon pretty much sacked out in front of the fireplace all day yesterday. I guess now I can call him a heat hog!
Oh, just a quick reminder, Remember Me Thursday is coming up on…Thursday! Good guess everyone. Let’s all help raise the awareness of those sweet pets still waiting for their forever homes.
Have a super Monday everyone! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
we agree with you… this is the time for blankets ;O)
How nice to have a cozy fire. We have the furnace and I can lay on the floor vents when it gets really cold in Winter 😉

Mom hasn’t turned on the fireplace yet, but we have had the furnace on a few times. It is getting hot again this week, so most likely the a/c will be on.
Simon, Brian, mom had to turn on the furnace this meowning. It was 49 outride and 69 in the house…she wussed out so I got the benefit of the warm air blowy thing.
We hear you about the cold. All of a sudden our furs have icicles on them, hehe!! Well, it’s not that bad, but it sure feels like it! Have a warm and cuddly week! – Tom x
thanks for the reminder… i kissed your sweet nose.. yay for fireplaces, not sure where your south is but my southe i HOT, woke up to 82 hot degrees…
I’ve got the heater on this morning. Our days are warm, but the nights and early mornings are chilly. We’re happy about that. I hadn’t thought about the fireplace though. Soon.
Have a purrfect day and week. My best to your siblings and your thoughtful peeps. ♥
Oh I totally agree………..we’re having a lot of cool weather earlier than usual but we also have a cord of wood for the fireplace and are loving this cool stuff vs. the HOTS!
Hugs, Teddy
We’ve had the furnace on…very low…for a few days now. The Hubby wanted to go without, but I put my foot down! Tomorrow, the temps rise again, and I hope to get a few more wearings of my shorts and sandals.
We might have some lows in the high 60’s here this week but it will be 80’s during the day.

Glad you are keeping warm by the fireplace ~ Sweet photo of you ~ Xox

dood….fireplace on again = fresh grilled perch 🙂 !!♥♥
You do look very warm and comfy there. Our furnace has been on since it’s gotten pretty cold at night but our fireplace hasn’t been turned on yet.
It’s not quite cool here, but it is much less hot! Enjoy your snuggle weather Brian!
Brian…it was nippy here this am too 50 they said and maybe mid 40’s tomorrow morning.
NO absolutely not the calming medians don’t work. That area had hopes that the medians would also reduce traffic on the road which was another problem
but for some reason the masses have increased. Oh and there are also speed humps and signage but folks go bump over them too.
Hugs Cecilia
That sounds super Brian. Dad is thinking about getting us a no-vent gas log. He has to move the TV and stuff but we hope he does
Sweet kitty and don’t kitties love the fires! Have a warm toasty day!
It’s supposed to get chilly here too later this week!
Purrs,
Tama and genji
I love a roaring fire! Great photo.
We have no mancat in the house, onlly one little old girl ! And it became also very cool here only during the days it’s nice !
Oh, ’tis the season for fireplaces and cool snaps, we love it! Up north here we hit 30F at night! True Husky weather! You stay all nice snuggled now!
We have been having so much really nice weather it is almost unbelievable. No heat on here yet, but Mom does need a light jacket in the early morning and late evening when she has to walk Misty.

It’s actually been warmer than usual at our house…wacky weather for sure!
It’s still Summer weather here. So I’m waiting on the Winter chill right now.
It has been warmer here for the last four days getting up to mid 60s, but it is forecast to get cooler from tomorrow. Mid 60s with very high humidity feels to hot for me!
Nothing better than when the time comes to get warm and cozy!
I know you cats love the furnace.
I wish I had a fireplace. I gave Penny her heating pad already.
Sure a great place to sack out indeed
It’s just a bit cool here, too, and we are so glad. No heaters needed, but no A/C either. Enjoy it, and your fireplace.
Brian, it’s just not the South. Here up north it went from summer to fall overnight. And our fireplace got turned on too…just in the morning to take the chill off…but it felt pretty good.
Ohh Brian! We had the fireplace on the other night ourselves! We’re so happy for the autumn like weather
Yes, Lily has noticed that slight bit of change in the weather and temps, I have found her curling up next to me for several nights. I LOVE it….and I miss it in the summer time. Stay warm sweeties.
The cooler temps are coming. But considering we are entering Fall a/k/a Autumn I am not surprised. ALways great photo captures here. Have a great week. HUGS across the miles. XO XO XO XO XO XO
It hasn’t cooled down here yet… although the evenings are definitely going in that direction.
Enjoy your cozies, however you can get them.
Brian,
Our evenings were cooler but not cool enough for heat. The fireplace does sound cozy, though. This morning felt a bit nippy on my toes even though the thermometer reads the same as yesterday. I think when the humidity drops the air feels cooler. I can feel it in the air big changes are coming soon!
It’s still too warm here for the fireplace, but once it’s on all two- and four-legged members of the household gather around it. It’s magic.
I got my post for Thursday all written. I’m not one to hang by the vents or on top of the dishwasher when it’s on. I wonder if I’d like a fireplace. Maybe the poor house has one.
Gosh! We have been warm (finally) since the sun came out yesterday! But is is going to cool off tomorrow. The rains are supposed to come and boy are we looking forward to rain!
Stay warm!

The warmth of a fireplace is more enjoyable than the hots ! Purrs
Our radiators have been on the last few days as well as the heated floors…heaven for us. Mom is truly enjoying the cooler weather, but we expect we will have another round of hots before fall really sets in.
