Today I’m thankful for beds on standby. Really, beds on standby. See my bed? You might recall that my bed, the one that Simon thinks is sometimes his, my bed was a black bed. Now then, it’s not black anymore, it’s beige, it’s soft, like deer furs, but it’s not. It’s just like my black bed was, but it’s tan. I’ve had tan ones before, and red ones too.
So, what happened to my black bed, the one Simon though was his sometimes? Well, yours truly horked on it. Yep, I really did. I was snoozing, then the next thing I knew I woke up and…well, you get the idea. It surprised all of us. I did not see that coming. Well, if that wasn’t a find how-do-you-do. Nope, it wasn’t. Oh, I’m fine now, not to worry.
Hey, hork happens, often when you least expect it. Dad to the rescue. The Dad keeps a couple of “spare” beds for just this occasion. We don’t get a choice of color when we order them but this color is just fine with me. Thanks Dad, I sure appreciate having beds on standby!
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Glad you parents got all of you a nice bed. At first when I started to look at photo. I you thought you was keeping some sleepers warm, silly me
Beds on standby, how smart your humans are! Hope the horking is over for quite a while.
Your dad sure does take good care of you all. Those beds on standby are great, Brian!
Beds are the best! Beds on Standby are even better. WOWSERS you have the cutest toe beans ever! We love them
Beds on standby is absolutely something to be thankful for. Your Dad is very wise to order extras and keep them at the ready. Hopefully your other bed can be de-horked in the laundry.
That really is super that you have beds on standby. Dad really thinks ahead but then again Dads are very good at that sort of thing. My Dad gets me extra mousies because I am so hard on them. Hope you stop by my party to see.
Gentle cycle in the washer machine usually works. Has the Bein tried that?
your pawrents are simply da best!!! we love that color too it is perfekt… nah wait… purrrrrr-fect!
I am glad you had a bed on standby in case of accidents. I hope Simon doesn’t try to claim this one too.
Well…*peep* happens all the time… right…I do that sometimes on the nip toys, when I’m to excited of it 😉 Glad you have a spare bed and you look real comfy on it.😸Pawkisses for a Happy Thankful Thursday to all of you🐾😽💞
Brian dear furiend that is a fine looking bed and it displays your fur well. Sorry to hear about that hork… hope whatever caused it is gone forever. Thank you for hosting this blog hop…. PS: your paw is cute.

We like the tan better than the black. Enjoy the cozy.
Such a nice bed you have Simon, I am told my new (well, my first!) bed is “on the way” and I’m very excited … I think it might be the same color as yours, hope it’s just as soft!
You sure look comfy! I love that style of cat bed – or should we say “couch bed” ??!! Looks super soft and snoozable!
Hugs, Teddy
Dad is smart to have a bed on standby. Very smart and I remember those kinds of accidents. Things happen.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your siblings and your peeps. ♥
Brian, we think that “Hork Happens” is the title for this year, no?
BOY do I know hork happens!!!
Spare beds are most important- extra blankies are good too. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day! XO
You sure look comfy on your bed. We love your pink paw pads against your black furs.
you have a lot to be thankful for, to have had that many standby beds… and a daddy who “handles horks” in our house, Mama is the hork handler, and trust me dogs make a total mess doing that, not so much a hork as a volcanic eruption…
WOW, you look really zonked out there, Brian! I wish DH could sleep that well through the night. Maybe what we need is a new bed. We definitely could use a new mattress if nothing else. Happy napping!
Oh dear me Brian…sometimes things happen. I hope you are feeling tip top now and thank goodness for extra beds
Hugs Cecilia
Your new bed looks so soft and comfy…especially since the weather is getting colder outside. Accidents happen and I’m happy Dad always has a spare bed for those crisis times.
Yes, sadly, hork does happen. In fact, it happened the other night when Peaches nommed some of Momma’s pork chop with special spices. Peaches not only horked right there on the couch, but also on the floor, and on the table Peaches likes to run while horking.I’m thinking this should be a new entry for the Cat Olympics next year, don’t mew?
As you say, Brian, these things happen. We’re glad that there was a spare bed that could be whipped out for your comfort. By the way, that is a super cute pic of you, especially those gorgeous pawpads!
Purrs,
Tama and Genji
Look at those adorable pink toes! Hugs!
That was good thinking to have another bed ready in case of horking! Simon, those pink paw pads are adorable!
It happens buddy, no worries. Good thing you have beds on standby though, that is a good idea!
Beds on standby to the rescue. Horks sure do happen. Syssiknyfe frew up on her fave toy once upon a time.
hay……food servizz gurl…we want bedz on stand by ~~~~~~~~~
😉 ♥♥
dood….due ya think if ya sleeped in de ree clinerz… dad wood get reclinerz
on stand bye 😉 ♥♥
Unexpected horks are the worst. They are bad enough when you’re expecting them. To be awoken out of a sound sleep because one has snuck up on you would be a horrible experience. I am grateful those who are prepared for anything, mostly because I am not.
Whew…thank goodness for smart Dads!!
You have such a great Dad, always planning ahead and thinking of all of you. We don’t have any beds on standby but we think there are lots of towels and quilts that might work in a pinch. We are so thankful you are OK after that horka, Brian.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
That looks so comfy and nice <3
Your dad really has it together – that looks like one truly cozy bed! 🙂
Have a lovely weekend!
Your Dad is a very smart man to have beds on standby! When we had cats we found that you guys hork for no apparent reason quite often. MOL
Aww such a sweet kitty napping so well on the ‘stand by’ bed~ ^_^

I have rugs over our cat perches here because Frankie pukes a lot and it’s easy to wash the rug.
Those horks just happen. Great to have spare beds indeed.
Your dad is smart! Accidents happen.
You sure you didn’t just want a new bed Brian? LOL
Your dad is very smart to keep the spare beds! We had to say goodbye to some furniture, too, after hork incidents. Some could be saved by clearing up but others couldn’t be revived. You look very comfy there 🙂
It’s smart to have extras!
We are sorry your horked. We hope it doesn’t become a regular thing
Ohhhhhh that’s a nice bed, mew can never have enough beds! MOL Happy Friday guys XOX
Good thinking to have beds on standby! Glad you’re feeling better too.
Ohh such a cute photo 🖤🖤 Regards!!
