Hello gang, thanks for coming to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop today! You all know that we are always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today it’s me Simon along with my sister Seal hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to Brian for letting us do this today. Yes, today is our 4th Gotcha Day. Back in October of 2016 we were living outside with the rest of the ferals and then we became formerly feral.
For those that are new here, the Dad had a TNR session and had just caught 4 wee kittens. Those wee ones were fostered and then adopted into good homes. As soon as that was said and done me Simon, I showed up in the backyard and boy was I tiny. The Dad looked out and said great, there’s five. So, my name was Five for the longest time.
Then a few days later Seal showed up. We were wee ones alone so we decided it would be best to be alone together. We were feral kittens having fun. Well, the Dad decided it was time for another TNR session. He had eight traps set, Seal, that silly girl, was the first in a trap. Then through the course of the evening six others went in traps.
Yes, that left one trap and I thought that since Seal went I didn’t want to be alone so I went in the last trap. Actually, the Dad had given up on me and it was getting dark and he walked around out back to pick up the last and only empty trap. Surprise, I was in there.
It was scary, we went to this weird place, went to sleep and woke up with some missing parts. Six were brought back to the backyard and released. Seal and I went to the Cat Only Vet for a more thorough evaluation. Then we came back home, inside. Yep, we were locked in the big bedroom and had the big bathroom too. I trashed the big bathroom big time, I wanted out. Seal was all chilled. We were in lockdown for almost a full year before we got to meet the rest of the family. The Dad and Mom let us do it on our timeframe.
Seal and I are so happy to have been Gotcha’d and we are so thankful to have a loving home and a Mom and Dad who loves us. It really doesn’t get much better than that. Well, it could if the mowers got a quiet machine.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Happy Gotcha Day Simon and Seal!

Simon and Seal, has it been 4 years already?! You have a wonderful gotcha story. Well, maybe that part about trashing the bathroom isn’t so wonderful, but the rest of it is. Happy Gotcha Day!
Happy Gotcha Day, Simon and Seal! I didn’t remember why Simon first was known as “Five.” I can only imagine the trouble Simon got into in the big bathroom – Bear would’ve torn the house down! My favorite memory is of Seal and Sascha playing whacky-paws under the bedroom door.
Happy gotcha day to you two!
Happy Gotcha Say Simon and Seal!!!!!

Your mom and dad are super patient people. I might have pulled my hair out if you trashed the bathroom but I promise I would try not to scream or make any loud noise. Yesterday, we saw our daughter and granddaughter. Our little grandbaby will be 2 next week. We brought her some crayons and a coloring book. Before we left she had nearly peeled the paper of every crayon and she tore some pages out of her coloring book. She really liked the little gift. There was a fountain nearby. She soon was drawn to it. It made me… Read more »

I’m very glad that as I am writing you, Magellan and I are having a peaceful afternoon, listening to classical music and sorting through books on my desk.
