WeeeeeOooooo, Sister Saturday here we go! Oh, hello everyone, thanks for stopping by, I always smile when you visit, really I do. I hope you are having a good Saturday, we are planning on it. We’re actually supposed to have a decent weekend here with sunshine and everything. That tropical storm moved faster than the weather guessers thought, although we had lots of rain here, lots, it was nothing like our neighbors up on North Carolina, yikes. We all sure send purrs to those affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm ETA.
Anyways, how did you like the title of my post today? Do you know what dinner laps are? Well, for me they are pretty special, but honestly, I haven’t had dinner laps for a very long time. I used to have them all the time, then I stopped, but now I’ve started again.
Oh, what are my dinner laps? Well, the Mom and Dad eat dinner in the kitchen at the kitchen table. Then I look at the Dad’s lap, while he is eating his dinner of course, and up I jump. Right on my Dad’s lap and that’s my dinner lap. I’m really good, I just lay down on his lap and purr. Well, if he has something that smells good I’ll have a whiff, but a good dinner lap is my latest happy spot.
Okay, enough about my happy dinner laps,…it’s time for my art for the Caturday Art Blog Hop…

I used Picmonkey Posterize with 14 colors, 90% detail, 70% saturation, 12% contrast and 0% fade, plus I added the Burst Texture at 87% saturation and 63% fade. Have a terrific Saturday everyone, I’ll see you soon!
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

That is a fine spot to sit, could get any crumbs too haha
Dinner laps sound good. Your art is very pretty.
Good morning you beautiful girl. I thought you were running laps but what you were actually doing is so much better! XX
We always love seeing your pretty face, Dolly! Dinner laps sound like fun. Genji sometimes will jump into #1’s arms when she is eating!
Purrs,
Tama and Genji
Dinner laps sound good to us!! Raz sometimes sits behind Mom when she has dinner.

You are positively glowing and the lunapic edit. Thanks for putting all the different things you use to make it so beautiful. You’re making me search for things and lunapic that I did not use. So glad you love your Daddy’s lap and that you have a dinner lap. I was picturing you and Daddy’s lap under the table and then I started the picture bow in his Daddy’s lap under the table bro haha
We wish we could sit our our pawrents lap when they eat dinner but we’re a bit big for that. You look so cute in both renditions of your picture, Dolly.
Hello Dolly and extra Hello to your eyes. Yep that was one descriptive title. What a grand repeat of history back to dinner laps. I bet your dad gets a great big Cheshire Cat grin when you sit with him. Well done Darlin’ Dolly
Hugs Cecilia
Glad you have a seat at the lap Dolly:)
I didn’t even know dinner laps were a thing! I’ve been missing out.
Dolly it’s so nice of you to keep your Dad company while he has dinner! That’s a very pretty picture of you and nice art too!
Well that’s pretty smart of you Dolly – I bet you’re kinda sorta hoping some crumbs or chunks or SOMETHING fall down your way right?
Hugs, Teddy
What a sweet face!
I think that is a great idea Dolly. We have never tried Dinner laps but may soon now that you have told us about it
We love your Caturday Art – that’s because Mom loves BLUE!!! We are too big to do dinner laps but we all like to rest our heads on Dad’s lap and gaze lovingly into his eyes, hoping he will give us a taste. We know better than to try that with Mom – she says NO table food:(
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I bet you do love those dinner laps. Sounds like I heard some real like in reading your post!
Chimera enjoys dinner laps sometimes. Mom lets her stay since she sits down and stays still the rest of us would be more interested in the FOOD.
Oh wow aren’t you just gorgeous <3 <3
Awww, that’s so sweet! I don’t think I’ve ever had a cat on my lap during dinner. Beautiful photo and art too.
You are a lucky girl. Beautiful art. XO
Around here, dinner laps are what the young’uns do to burn off the pre-meal excitement. Their elders surely appreciate that! We only have one other sort of lap around here, and it’s not readily available so we have to make things up, but we’ll be sure to point out your lap to our human.
Dolly, I wish I could do a dinner lap—and take over my dad’s plate.
I love your Caturday Art.
Storms are sometime scary. I really like your blue blanket.
Stay Safe and Coffee is on
Dolly, none of our kitties are lap kitties, but Manny & CB will jump on the table to see what’s interesting up there.
River like to put her butt on one chair and her front on Mommy’s lap, but she is doing it for food.
Dolly, we think dinner laps sound like a great idea.
Dinner lap, huh? The Human would really enjoy that, and she’d probably even share, but I am not a lap cat and honestly, it would have to be something TRULY irresistible to lure me there. How come you never sit on Mom’s lap though?
Dinner laps sounds like a wonderful tradition!
Dinner laps, what a wonderful spot for you! I bet your dad loves when you jump up on his lap 🙂
Your artwork is beautiful! Happy weekend xo
Diner laps sound pretty awesome, Dolly. And your artwork is pawsitively radiant!
Hmm…I guess this picture has 1% color and 99% cute!
Dolly ~ you are so gorgeous ~ love those eyes ~ ^_^

It is sweet of you to keep your Dad company while he’s eating dinner, Sister Dolly!
Dinner laps sounds like a great idea – if only Mummy didn’t always shut Us in the boudoir while she is eating!
A nice lap at dinnertime must be cozy, up under the table. There’s a dog or two i know that would enjoy a dinner lap, but would also try to sample what’s on the plate!
You guys are really good with the art! Pop doesn’t really have a lap but after I walk across the table and sniff everything and maybe get a piece of something, I like to sit on the chair right next to Pop. Then I’ll tap and bite him and we’ll switch chairs so I get the chair he’s already warmed up.
