Howdy partners, thanks for coming to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, the first one in December. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Yes, I’m still soaking up the winter sunshine and yes, it feels good. Today though I’m thankful that it’s just about time to lay under the Christmas Tree. I really do like it there and I’ll probably have some photos to share later on. But, the Christmas Tree is up and the Mom has just finished with the decorations.

I know I’ve said this before but it’s worth repeating. Laying way back under the Christmas Tree is the purrfect spot for avoiding the Medicine Man. Does it work? No, not always, but I make the Dad, I mean the Medicine Man, work for it. He does usually win though.
Tomorrow Simon will show you the Christmas Tree with the lights on. Okay, so what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Brian, so contemplative!
Your Mom is an excellent tree decorator!
Your tree sure looks great, Brian! We like laying under ours, too. 🙂
Nice tree, hope to get our tree up this weekend.
Stay Safe and Coffee is on
Your tree looks so pretty! Ours isn’t up yet.
Tell the Mom that the tree is lovely! And I would lie under it too if I would only fit …
Brian dear furiend, I love, love, love your tree!
Thank you for hosting this blog hop
Purrseidon
we agree that is the best place… even when the medicine man often wins that hide&seek game ;O)
Your tree looks very pretty, Brian.
We’ll have to visit your tree every day … the ZH says I might only get a “charlie brown tree” cause I’d likely destroy any other kind! What’s a “charlie brown tree? … is that from your CB?”
Say Brian, the mom did an awesome job decorating that tree! My mom and dad, who haven’t had a tree in years, went out and bought a little 4 foot tall pine tree/bush/shrub kind of thing so they can use it as a Christmas tree and then keep it as a house plant year round. Kinda like recycling, I guess. Dad said to tell your mom that her tree is just the way he liked to decorate his family’s trees throughout his youth. Oh, and I’m thankful that I have all my blogging friends like all y’all!
That’s a beautiful Christmastree, Brian. Granny loves a living Nativity Scene🎄😸Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to all of you🐾😽💞🎄
I can only hope that Katniss will lay beneath the tree! Usually “the little rodent” tries to bite the lights!!…jp
You tree is beautiful! We love to get under the tree too, but I ball up that skirt thing and that makes Mom a bit cranky. Oh well!
Brian, mom has a few pictures of me under the tree too. I know you know your Dad has to “visit” you under there while you are enjoying the tree. You are always feeling good and soaking up the sunpuddles because he DOES “visit”. XXX to you, sweet boy. Love you.
Oh and Mommy said she’s grateful for her home, her family and certainly from. Funny…I am grateful for the same things and for HER.
Kitties and Christmas trees just go together. Tell your mom she did a fabulous job decorating that tree. It’s beautiful.
I had to laugh and your attempt to make the medicine man work for it. Good job.
I hope your dad had a great birthday yesterday.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches to your siblings and my best to your peeps. ♥
Enjoy the sunpuddles handsome! That is one gorgeous Christmas tree, kudos to your Mom.
Can’t wait to see how you look laying under the tree and I can’t wait to see it all lit up at night. I did enjoy seeing how you look today and I’m thankful that I get to see all of you kitties laying in all the places you like to lay and I’m thankful for all my blog friends
Your tree is beautiful. I can’t put the skirt on ours until right before Christmas or it will get peed on. 🙁 Thanks for hosting. Have a great day! XO
Brian I’m an under the tree napper too……such a nice quiet spot isn’t it. I’m sure it’s no fun when Dad finds you for medicine time but after all – you NEED the meds so might as well cooperate and get it over with right? Your tree looks AMAZING!
Hugs, Teddy
Sun puddles are the best, winter or summer! Today we’re thankful for heat, it’s cold here, MOL!
Your Christmas tree is as beautiful as the rest of your decorations. Enjoy laying under it, Brian!

Winter sunpuddles are the best.I’m glad the tree is back for you to enjoy. Your Mom did a fantastic job decorating it.

Roary said he wants to come over and check out that tree, but trust me, you do NOT want him to!!! Your tree is gorgeous! I am thankful for my two crazy toddler boys!!
Your tree is beautiful as always, Brian. It is so colorful, and we love the big white pointsettia. We bet it is very comfy to lie on that quilted skirt too. We are too big and can’t get under the tree very well. But we still like to nap near it.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
What a pretty tree. Too bad it doesn’t save you from the medicine man.
What a beautiful place to hide ;-)!
At least the Medicine Man means well, and the Christmas Tree looks great. I’m sure it will be a good place to spend Christmas time!
Sweet kitty photo and beautiful tree ^_^

Your tree looks so beautiful! Living vicariously until we can get our tree up! 🙂
Well, it’s always worth a try, right, Brian? 🙂 What a beautiful tree!!
Your tree is so pretty! The mom put our little tree up yesterday but not the big one yet. She’s debating whether she wants to go through all the trouble. We of course think she should.
SO pretty! My childhood cat Patch always used to nap under the tree but I’ve never had another cat do it since!
Happy Thankful Thursday!! The tree looks amazing and it will be wonderful to see the lights on the tree for tomorrow. Your mom did such a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing. Have a great rest of your day
I love your Christmas tree! It looks like you have flowers on it. I love them! I can’t wait to see you lie under it.
Christmas trees first became popular when it was too cold for cats to lie under the tree so they brought the tree in the house.
I’ll have to try your strategy for avoiding the medicine man. Tee hee hee. Ooh pretty tree. Mom hasn’t put our up yet, but she says it will be real one this year.
Brian! Your tree is purrfect! We are so thankful that the tree season has started! We can’t wait to see more.
Sorry we are late! Our auto post did not post and we were out of town all day!

Beautiful tree! Only Rose as a kitten climbing into our Christmas tree. Mister Kitty likes reclining under it. Sometime you have to do what you have to do right? Take care. HUGS across the miles XO XO XO XO XO XO
