Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Being the Elder Has Advantages

thankful thursday blog hop brian 01142021

Hello gang, here we go again, welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always so very thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today I’m thankful for being the elder and for having the upper paw. Yes, the upper paw. On what you say? Well, you can see I’ve got a little bit of the airplane ear thing going on. That’s because silly Simon is down below and he’s contemplating a bit of a pounce in my direction. That’s why I’m thankful to be the elder kitty and I’m thankful I’ve got the upper paw from up here on the green bench.

Being the elder gives me the advantage and I know just how to give “the look” which makes Simon go on and play with one of his toys. He’s so funny. Simon just wants to play and I keep telling him that’s why he has all those toys MOL! I do still play some but when that dude plays he goes all out.

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

That’s a good “listen to your elders” look, Brian. We can see why Simon got the message. 🙂

Being the baby I don’t understand the being the oldest concept but I Know the ones I was related too were extra bossy. I sure love the photos you share. Thank you and enjoy your Thursday! HUGS across the miles everyone!

Now that I think about it being an elder is pretty cool. I know just how to let Rumpy know that is not nice play and still do THoE around the house with Toby. We really appreciate Thankfuls

Being the family baby has advantages and being the older one has advantages. I’m sandwiched in the middle and am not sure if this is a good spot or not.

Our inner kitten wants to play but it’s the limitations of our where we are now a far more mature kitty that can’t quite keep up. You have that “not now” look down pat. Have a furtastic day, my furriend!

Brian, Jackie told me I should inform you that cats always have the upper paw 😉 Even the dogs have accepted she is the boss 😁.

Oh Brain, you know that playing with another cat is more fun at times instead of toys!! haha….Besides, you can’t be so old that you don’t like to play. But then again, it is nice to know that you have the upper han…..I mean paw.

It’s great being the oldest (eldest?). But it comes with a lot of responsibility too. 🙂 Today, I’m thankful I don’t live in or around Washington DC!!!

I agree, being the elder affords me a few perks (and being the only female in the Tribe). And your “airplane ear” gives you a rakish look, it suits you!
