Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today, I think it’s safe to say, that all of us kitties here are thankful for quiet times. Well, not totally quiet mind you, but quiet enough to relax and enjoy some “quiet” time whenever we feel like it. This is the season when those quiet times are often hard to come by.
Awww Spring, we’re all big fans, but it can be known as the Noisy Season. Those Spring thunder boomers just aren’t into quiet like us kitties are. Then there is the lawn work, constant mowers running and constant weed whacking and constant leaf blowing. Oh, and the construction. Our neighbor will soon be having a new roof put on. Well, not really on the neighbor, but on his house. That banging and hammering will not be fun.
So, we’re all enjoying the quiet when we can and we’re thankful there’s still plenty of opportunities and that there is more quiet than noise. What are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Quiet times are nice! Our neighbor (not him, his house) is getting a new roof soon too!!
The Florida Furkids
My 13-year-old always love QUIET time. Someone is working on the lawn and he had to leave his favourite sunny place and hide inside.
I sure know about roofing. The neighbor had HIS done and the sound from their blasting boom boxes was worse than the hammering. And early EARLY in the morning too.
May the noise pass quickly and the quiet come back to help you relax.
We prefer the quiet times, too, Brian. We hope you guys do get some of those, even with all that noisy stuff that happens in the spring.
Quiet is good, loud not so much. I’m doing the A to Z Challenge this month, but I’ll plan on playing along on the blog hop once that’s done.
I hear you about quiet. They’re renovating our building and starting with our outside wall. Who know removing paint could be so noisy? I try to snoopervise but it goes on all day and a cat has to sleep.
We are happy that you are getting quiet time Brian! We get some wild weather this time of year too, but nothing like you guys. Right now we are happy it is cool, even though we would love it to be really warm. That means the snow will melt slowly. If it melts to fast, there is extra snow pack in the mountains this year and we could have flooding! Thanks for Thankful Thursday and thanks for always visiting us! You guys ROCK!
We all love the quiet too Brian. Our place is pretty far from the road and noisy things but darn if some big machines aren’t working somewhere. Not close enough to be a real bother but weekdays you hear them in the distance. Truth is I bet those machine operators are thankful for the work. Keep safe friends
we are with you… and we hope for a lot of quiet times… or at least quiet moments ;O)
We like nice peaceful times too. Unfortunately some neighbors don’t share in that preference..
Warm weather does bring more noise, we never thought about it. The winter is noisy here after is snows with all the people who use snowblowers. Get some rest before the noise begins.
I agree that quiet times are the very best. the neighbor behind us is having work done in their back yard and there was a lot of noise going on yesterday. We were glad when they left.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Wonderful things to be thankful for Brian. Thank you for hosting. Have a great day. XO
We kinda like the noisy times, much more to woof at! XOX Lucy, Xena and Riley
We like quiet at our house too. You sure look relaxed laying there.
OMCs Brian I 100% agree I am not a fan of spring boomers either. Of course another bothersome event of spring is the horrid pollen. All the pine trees are full of EYDD
(evil yellow devil dust). I’m just waiting for them to explode.
Hugs Cecilia
ohhh thunderstorms!! I think Roary already experienced one but I don’t think Levi has. I can hardly wait lol
I Love the quiet times! So sweetly peaceful! Hugs to all!
Brian, I’m a human and I too don’t like loud noise! Some machinery is just too darn loud, and those air breaks on big rigs…eeeks!
There’s nothing like a little peace and quiet. especially with a cat who also enjoys it!
You’re right Brian, Spring is noisy – I hadn’t thought about that. Enjoy the quiet while it is available sweet kitties. Our hosting company had an April Fool’s joke for us and our post didn’t go up until late this morning – We were not amused.
Quiet times are purrfect but, we will be starting noisy mowing machines and leaf blower season this month – not fun.
BTW…just wanted to mention that I haven’t visited recently because the last time your blog updated on my feed was (1) week ago –weird. Has anyone else mentioned that? I actually clicked on that one week old feed and it brought me to this post though??
I really, really hope that all that nailing and banging will not bother you fur babes too much. I hate when my babes get all upset so I sure don’t want you babes to get that way either. Although it is funny when Misty is on the deck and the heat unit cuts on….she runs in the house so fast. Kinda funny, and she runs to me for cuddling…I love that.
We treasure quiet, too. 🙂 Come to think of it, I’m thankful our brick house is quite well sound insulated.
Such a nice post. I always love the photos. I found a PInterest photo I used here that cracked me up. Cats really so have an expression that is versatile. I am always happy to stop by here. Thanks for the smiles.
We so agree with you. The quiet times are so nice, especially early mornings once it is warm enough to share some deck time with Mom as she sips her morning coffee:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Take those quiet moments when you can! it’s never vey quiet here with Cabo watching out the windows on guard for those UPS trucks! X
Quiet? I have forgotten what that was like now that we have Hurricane Benny in the house…
Purrs,
Tama
We love the noise of spring. Winter is too quiet. When we hear those sounds we know better days are ahead/
Brian, we know what you mean. We don’t like the noisy landscapers or the howling wind!
We are thankful for Sawyer being 51 days seizure free and for all our friends and supporters. The weather is quite good enough yet for it to get really noisy here. Enjoy the quiet while you can. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
Peace and quiet are well worth being thankful for. They are my faves too!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend – we embrace the peace and quiet!
Oh yes, quiet times really are the best! Funny you should say spring is noisy season, it really is with lawn mowers, and chain saws, and thunder…we have a slight pause as Mother Nature fooled us on April Fools Day with snow! Well, fooled me, Wolfie loved it! Enjoy your peace and quiet (while it lasts)!
Yes, I agree with the noisiness. Here, we have kids spinning around the neighborhood on trail bikes and four wheelers! I am thankful for the sunshine and other signs that spring is just around the corner!
Am sure you will do fine with the ‘noise’ ~ Sweet photo of you relaxing ~ Xo

We prefer our quiet time around here too. Opening up the windows to let some fresh air in unfortunately lets more noise in too!
Peace and quiet is such a blessing!
Nice photo. Good to have quiet. I like quiet times! Though with the small child, we don’t get much of that haha!
Oh guys we know what mew mean about quiet times, the main street in our lovely little village now sounds like a dogs home most days, as some of the newer peeps that live here leave their dogs to bark from dawn till 11pm, no one cares or has any consideration for anyone else today. Anyhoo we hope mew have a marvellous Easter and it’s epically quiet! XOX
Sorry that you got two of the same post. Quiet time is the best. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
