Hello sweet friends, thank you or coming by to visit with me on Sister Saturday. I know, I know, Seal and I both start out our posts like that, but that’s because we really mean it, we’re thankful when you visit. All in all Sister Saturday is pretty much fun, we like doing it.
We all see a lot of stories about how important it is to keep us kitties hydrated, and doggies too of course. Well, at our place that’s not a problem. We have a fountain in the kitchen, two water bowls in the kitchen, a water bowl in the big bathroom, and of course “The Pond” that you see me at right now.
There’s a back story to “The Pond” and it has to do with doggies. There used to be two bigger doggies live here, PD (pre-Dolly), and this big water bowl was their bowl. The cats at the time loved to drink out of the big bowl too and the Mom and Dad started calling it “The Pond” since it was way big for kitties. So, when the dogs, Angie and Ginger (they were sisters) moved to The Rainbow Bridge the kitties asked to keep “The Pond” as a lasting memorial to them. That’s a true story, or at least that’s as Brian tells it.
Okay, enough about all that water stuff, it’s time for my art for the Caturday Art Blog Hop…
Today I used Lunapic, the Landscape Effect set at 46%. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
That is a nice pond and story behind it, Dolly. Your art is pretty.
So nice to have fresh water all the time!
I think that’s a wonderful back story for The Pond. No wonder you enjoy drinking from it. I have water bowls on each floor – actually I have TWO on the top floor. One in the master bathroom and one in the guest room where I do a great deal of napping. Then there’s one in the kitchen and one in the basement. Mom gets a lot of exercise just cleaning out and refilling all my “ponds” every day. It’s good for her right? Nice photo of you at your Pond Dolly!
Hugs, Teddy
I’d be in the pond in a flash!
You are such a beauty Dolly! My Nuggy boy has a pond too! 🙂
If you kitties like that bowl, then all is well, Dolly! You look very pretty, attified!
Dolly I’m with you hydration is a big and impawtant thing. I had no idea there were pups before there were kitties. Very very nice to have a memorial to them with the pond
Hugs Cecilia
That is a sweet story about the pond. I didn’t know you ever had doggies living there. Beautiful art. I used landscape too, but mine was 100%. XO
Great kitty ❤
That’s a nice story. You know what would make the pond more fun? small fish LOL
What a cool story about the pond. Yep, my three go through water like crazy but thats okay. They need it. I remember PD (Pre Dakota), many, many, many, many (are you getting this?) years ago when I owned my first dog after I married and moved away from home is how many, many (etc) years ago…..anyway, her name was Pepper, she had to come get me more then once to let me know that she was out of water and her bowl needed filling! She would run in the kitchen and look up at the sink. When I got… Read more »
What a cute picture of you at the “pond”, Dolly.
now that is a nice pond and memory, Beau said to tell you he has 2 ponds, one inside and one outside . and mama has a hard time keeping them full. each time he drinks, he takes if to half full, or half empty, depending on who tells the story. This Luanpic Landscape is the best I have ever seen using Lunapic landscape. it is perfect, purrfect and pawfect. Blue Ribbon Perfect
Hey! We got a dish just like that! Purrhaps we can talk Mom into changing the big stainless water bowl…the pond would be more cat height! Dolly you look gorgeous in the photo and the Art is purrfect! We LOVE it! We hope you all have a marvellously happy day!
Hi Dolly! We loved the story of how the Pond came to be. And your artwork sure is pretty!
What a sweet story. 🙂
Always good to have plenty of water available, Dolly! That’s a wonderful pond and story! Beautiful Caturday art, too!
We like to drink out of Ollie’s big “pond” too!
Lovely picture of you, Dolly!
Purrs,
Tama and Benny
Charlee: “Ooh, a pond!”
Chaplin: “You should stock it with fish!”
Charlee: “And then you can catch the fish and eat them!”
Seal you look so lovely and we just adore your artwork!
Sister Dolly you look like a kitten here. How is everyfurry?
Yes, water is very important!
Lovely photo and art x
That’s so sweet! I’m glad you kept it.
The story about “the pond” is very sweet.
That is a pond for kitties! Nice art, i hope you are having a great weekend.
I hope you and your family had a nice Caturday, Dolly.
Whoa! That pond is HUGE. I didn’t know there were dogs in your house ever. If any kittens lived with you they could fall in there. I have a bowl in the kitchen a cup in the bedroom neither of which I use and the fountain in Pop’s room which I always use exclusively.
That’s a great story, Sister Dolly! Samantha used to like to drink out of the dogs’ big bowls and fountains too. ♥
awww I LOVED the story behind “the pond!!” I can relate, Roary (and Cody too for that matter), both had/have a water bowl in the kitchen and bedroom, where did Cody and now Roary ONLY drink? Dakota’s bowl and now Levi’s bowl. Drives me crazy but they both refused/refuse to drink out of their own bowls!!
Sounds like it’s easy to stay hydrated at your place – especially with the pond!
Love that story of the pond, Dolly and love your picture and the artwork too. I have a few ponds too in and outside and I like to put my paws in it too. I need to know if it’s furresh water, and when it moves it is, right😸Furresh Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞
