Tabby Tuesday: The Furniture Fairy Was Scary with Simon

tabby tuesday simon 04272021

Hey gang, guess what? It happened again. What you say? Strangers in the house, twice. Once on Saturday and then again yesterday. Needless to say, I’ve done my share of hiding, I am not a fan of strangers in the house, nope.

Anyways, Saturday I was busy snoozing in the living room and I heard a loud noise outside. It was a big truck and it was backing up into our driveway. Yikes, time to run and hide. I heard the noise and I stayed hidden, for a long time. Finally the Dad came and got me out of my hidey spot and brought me out to the living room. I ran and hid again. Silly Dad came and got me again, I ran and hid again.

Later I did come out and dang if the Furniture Fairy wasn’t here again. He left us a new couch and a new big chair. I’m not too sure about it yet, that’s why I’m in here on the dining room table, I can check it out from afar. Better be safe than sorry you know.

Oh, then Monday came, but I’ll let Brian tell you what that one was about on Thankful Thursday. Me, yep, you betcha I ran and hid again. I don’t know why strangers have to be so darn scary. Have a fun Tabby Tuesday everyone. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Memories of Eric and Flynn

Visitors are very scary, Simon! Flynn always hid too, but Eric had to make friends with everyone whether they wanted to or not. I hope the new couch and chair behaves itself and stops scaring you.

Have a lazytastic week 👍😻

Well, they say curiosity killed the cat, so if you stay hidden and not curious, you should be alright.

You will have those pieces of furniture completely tamed Simon. No doubt about it.

It’s funny how some are extra cautious of outsiders. Our Ricky and Lucy observe from a distance but eventually want to sniff the newcomers but, one of our much loved former cats always headed for the a secret getaway location. Enjoy the new furniture – keep the claws in please.

Derry finds visitors VERY scary too! However, the prospect of new furniture sounds more exciting–new opportunities for scratching and leaving your furs over everything! 😀

We’ve never heard of the furniture fairy. Are the new couch and chairs comfy?

I had a kitty like you that ran and hid every time someone showed up. I just left her alone and she came out when she was ready. Kitties rock.

I’m sure you’re liking the new furniture. It takes a bit, but soon you’ll all be stretched out taking your naps.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥

Strangers will come and go … but the new furniture is there to stay, just waiting for you and your furs (but no claws please). So be brave now and check it out!

That does sound like lots of excitement for a kitty, Simon. So I’m not surprised that you hid from it. You will probably like the new furniture though!

I’m with you on strangers. That day they put our screens back in, it seemed they were in every room. I didn’t know where to go cos TW didn’t want me in rooms where the windows were open w/o screens.

Simon introooders into your kingdom and what they leave should always be approached with extreme caution.

You sure do look very suspicious. Also very handsome, but suspicious too. When someone comes to our door, 6 of us are instantly invisible and 3 come out for meet & greet. Mini, Bella and (surprisingly) Olivia are excited to meet any person who comes by. Olivia feels exactly the opposite about cats.

That sounds scary, but I bet you will like the new furniture.

One of my cats, Teddy, like you, hides whenever there are people here. He has lived here for over ten years. Some people visit all the time and have never seen him.

It’s always best to hide, Simon!
I do it too, if someone knocks on the door…hehehe!

Lightning doesn’t like it when strangers come in our house either. In fact, he doesn’t like it even when they are just outside, maybe at a neighbor’s. But somehow we think the Furniture Fairy brought you something you might end up liking a lot. We foresee a comfy spot on the back of that couch in a nice sunpuddle.

If only these delivery people could figure out how to move in furniture without disturbing you.

The couch is probably safe. If the people are sitting on it, and they haven’t been eaten by it, it’s a crumb eater like all the rest of them. (If you want to know what i mean, look between the cushions of most couches.)

I kinda think visitors are scary, too, Simon! I hope the new furniture works out well, though! XO – Ava

Strangers are scary because they are…strange to us.
We don’t know them, or if they’re friendly or not.
Better to keep your distance Simon.

Hi Simon! I Marv agree with you! I prefer UTB when there are strangers…Kozmo LOVES to LOVE them up and Jo Jo, well, she goes under a different bed!

It sure can’t hurt to just keep an eye on that furniture for a bit before checking it out more closely, Simon! 🙂
