A Mancat Monday Memorial Day with Brian

mancat monday memorial day brian 03 05312021

It’s Memorial Day in the United Sates today. On this day we all pause to remember the heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We are always most thankful to all of those who have kept us safe throughout the years. I hate to think where we’d be without them.  It is also very important that we remember the many loyal hero animals that have served our country as well. They did so selflessly and we thank them all.

We love all of our heroes, and we always will. Today we remember, tomorrow we will remember, and we shall remember forever. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I love Memorial Day is what my mom has always said. She never fails to appreciate its meaning.

In the UK there is the Dickin medal for animal bravery. It was instituted by Maria Dickin, the founder of the PDSA. Only one cat has been awarded it, Simon who served on HMS Amethyst during the Second World War.

Have you heard about the heroics of Sergeant Reckless or Wojtek the bear? There are so many stories of bravery from all sorts of beings. It’s really amazing. Best wishes!
