Hello everyone, it’s Mancat Monday and rumor has it we’re gonna be having a heat wave here in the South. Yep, it’s not only hot, it’s gonna be dang stupid hot, and we’re not even to Summer yet. Air conditioning is such a blessing, now we’ll be working on keeping our feral as cool as we can.
Oh, before I get to the lake, I want to clarify about the kittens. Nope, they hadn’t been trapped yet, they’re still just a wee bit too small. Simon heard the kitten feet running across our deck. Sorry for the confusion.
I know several times I mentioned our lake, but I don’t think I’ve ever shown it to you. Maybe I have, but I don’t remember it if I did. Anyways, we always have lots of geese, ducks and turtles at the lake, but lately we’ve had a new visitor around. Here’s the visitor cooling down a bit…
Also, the Dad was outside talking to one of our neighbors and a pretty good size Stork flew over, low and slow. It flew over twice. It’s a little bit away from it’s usual habitat but Dad said it was something to see.
Okay, that’s it for me. Have a wonderful Mancat Monday everyone, I will see you again on Thankful Thursday. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
it’s hot? we have a kind of after -winter here….
I did wonder about the kittens as they are still small. Please send us a bit of your hots as we are struggling to reach mid 50s, not too much though!
Is that a Great Blue Heron? #1 used to love watching them from her cottage in Canada in summers past.
Sorry about the heat. It’s been almost cold here!
Purrs,
Tama and Benny
We have hotter than it should be weather too Brian……today we MIGHT get rain and we hope we do! Lovely lake – a stork – WOW. Very cool!
Hugs, Teddy
I feel that SUMMER wouldn’t arrive this year…it’s still so darn chilly over here. I just have to wear my winter coat early morning when I go out.
Day one: summer hot. Next day: turn on the heat! Who can tell anymore … and of course it confuses our wildlife friends as well … where and when it should be warm it is not and vice-versa. Sigh.
Hopefully the stork is not bringing kittens! The kittens must be fun for you guys to watch. I bet you see them more than your parents do.
Even we’ve had the hots, Brian, and the biped had to turn on the central air for a few days. It’s mercifully cool this morning! You’re right, this doesn’t bode well for summer.
A stork! Is that the same thing as a heron? The first thing we thought when we saw your new visitor was “heron.” (We don’t get storks here.) Very cool visitor, we hope he sticks around a while!
Take care and stay cool!
Mom has NEVER seen a stork. Now she said she’s going to look up their habitats and habits.
Hi handsome! The weather has been crazy this year. I like your visitor at the lake and I hope the stork didn’t drop off any more babies. Have a purrrfect week and stay cool!
Beautiful, I bet there will be lots more enjoying the lake to cool off this week.
Brian my man chillax’ on the ottoMAN. I just love the graceful herons!
Hugs Cecilia
PS the weather geeks are threatening us with 97 on Wednesday and it is just MAY
Storks are really not very pretty but they sure are interesting to see. you have a nice lake. sorry about the heat, it is getting ready to slam us, we are in the 90’s but low humidty makes it doable but humidity is on the way. we are in desperate need of rain here
Love the Visitor.
What a lovely lake with the heron! And we are still getting lots of rain and cool days. Brrrr I am ready for a spring day! Have a great week and stay cool!
It’s warming up here too. Finally. We’ve had the air on in the evenings and the heater on in the mornings. Spring weather.
Oh the lake is beautiful and it would be so fun to see all the lake visitors.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Stay cool dude! Wow, that is an amazing bird, is it a Blue Heron? I’d love to see a pelican in flight, never seen that before.
I am jealous we have Autumn weather here in London UK and its constant rain, enjoy the ssun you lucky devil you heheh!
Have aposetastic Monday 👍
We humans get really excited when a new critter shows up, Brian!
Aren’t we south dwellers lucky? Haha! 🙄 That lake looks wonderful! Where is it? I’d love to bring Ducky and Bogie for a walk along its shoreline!
You are very handsome and that is a nice view!
You look great today, Brian. We’ve had some of that stupid hot weather here too but today we have a reprieve with nice cool temps.
You are a cutie. Nice stork, maybe he delivered the kittens.
You are lookin’ good today, Brian! What interesting visitors at the lake! The one in the picture looks like it might be a Great Blue Heron, to me.
You better get those kittens trapped and spade/neutered.
That Heron looks like he’s cooling off all right

Nice to join you this week. You are looking fine. What a nice lake you have and to see the Heron is awesome as well.
Hot, hot, hot! We think it’s going to be a hot and buggy summer. That’s a very nice lake and, wow, that is so neat to hear the pitter patter of little feet! Kittens are pretty exciting! Have a good week!
We hope that heat wave don’t hit you too hard ! It’s cold for the season here, we could share with you ! Beautiful neighbor ! Purrs
That’s a big birdy! Does he leave any feathers around? We like feathers.
We are still having what the people call “May Gray”. After that comes “June Gloom”. That’s cuz of the marine layer. We get “dang stupid hot” from July through October, though it’s usually called fire season.
Brian we hope you all stay cool. Dad had our AC put in yesterday and it has been kicking on a little bit. Whew, just in time. So nice to see that visitor. Very interesting
Don’t storks bring human babies? At least that’s what I heard. I hope there’s no human babies at your house, Brian.
🙂
It has been a very long time since we saw pictures of the lake, I think only Mom remembers. Its cool you have a heron! The one that was in our river all winter flew off this spring. We miss its croak! And you saw storks! Cool!
It was over 90 here two days last week…in Vermont! In May!
What a beautmous Blue Heron…they are one of Mama’s favorites!!
xoxo,
Rosy and the Gang
You are lucky to have a lake. It is awesome.
A Stork??? So that’s where the 20 kitty paws came from:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
The A/C is a blessing, i hope you had a great Monday.
That’s quite a nice visitor!
I saw crane the other day. So glad our home have AC. Although I recall no AC
Coffee is on and stay safe
Brian ~ you are one handsome kitty ~ great feathered friend photo too ~ Xo

Charlee: “Hmm, looks like you also have a dinosaur visiting you, Brian!”
we have a lake too but don’t have anything like that! Or Storks either…guess it’s a Southern “thang” MOL!!!
Dang stupid hot sounds pretty hot to me!
Yes, it is hot in the South! I went for my walk at 8am, and it was so humid I about melted. Seems this summer will be like last year, too hot to handle.😾
A stork??? Aren’t your peeps a bit, er, you know passed child bearing age? Heh heh. Like mine. Hope the hotz aren’t as hot as they predict.
Maybe that stork was making another delivery of kittens. The Dad might want to have that thing relocated so he doesn’t have to trap the little furballs. 🙂
The new visitor looks pretty cool!
