Hello friends, thanks for coming by to visit on Sister Saturday. Yes, of course, I’m so very happy you stopped by today, really. Did you bring food? I think I’m going to have to put together an emergency kit in case I get starved again. Being without food is nothing to sneeze at, as I know you know!
So what am I talking about? Well, we usually have some food out overnight just in case the hungry monster happens to show up. But, Wednesday night there was nothing. NOTHING! That’s pretty concerning since some of us are night snackers. NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING. Okay, there was water.
Turns out Seal had a big Vet appointment with our favorite Internal Medicine Vet, Dr. V., she really is a good one. As Simon told you, we wanted to make sure nothing was being missed since the inhaled steroids didn’t work for her. The Dad could have told us why there was no food down and we would have been alright with that, for Seal. But I guess if he would have told us then someone would have ruined the surprise for Seal.
Anyways, Seal had an ultrasound and, fortunately, nothing was wrong and everything was mostly okay. There appeared to be a little irritation around her pancreas so she also had a G.I. panel done to determine if she might have pancreatitis. Otherwise, Seal got a very good report and will continue on her low dose of Prednisolone for now.
Oh, we did get a big breakfast once Seal was off to the Vet place. Okay. enough about the Vets and food, it’s time for my Caturday Art…
Today I used Lunapic, the Flash Art Effect set at 29%. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
It is not nice when you can’t find your through the night snacks! I am glad that the ultrasound found nothing amiss.
The art is lovely.
Dolly, it’s called intermittent fasting, so you could have enjoyed WATER as a snack :-)) Glad to know that everything is okay with Seal.
You poor starving girl! Well in spite of starving you sure did a great photo – and that art effect makes you look ELECTRIC! Great artwork.
Hugs, Teddy
Dolly…I sure just got a dose of the no food thing! Know what you mean. Seal…good girl. I am so happy for your report. Want to meet in the tunnel and compare visits?
Oh, Dolly, sorry you missed your midnight snak, but it was all for the good, right? June could have taught you that there are other things for nibbling on like upholstery and books and chair legs and blankets and, well … so much more! But then we think you are likely more mature and thus better behaved than she is …
While yours truly can stand to miss more than a few meals, I feel your pain!
But, if Seal’s tests prove worthwhile, then it was a small sacrifice, and I’m betting that you all have forgotten about it now.
Pretty art!
I’m so happy to hear everything looks good with Seal, that’s great news! I’m sure our midnight snacks will be back tonight. I really love the beautiful caturday edit today. You are one of the prettiest girls ever sweet Dolly!
You are gorgeous, Dolly, even when you are starving. Benny says he sympathises with you because that same thing happened to him TWICE in the last few weeks. He is crossing all paws it will never happen again!
Purrs,
Tama and Benny
Sorry you all had to starve for the sake of Seal’s vet appointment. We’re glad to hear she is doing well and are keeping our paws crossed for her.
Hello Dolly the family who fasts together eventually can feast together.
I’m so glad Seal got a good report
Hugs Cecilia
that had to be a scary thing to happen, I bet all of you were wondering if the store ran out of food, if you were being starved on purpose, would there be food later? lots of things to fret over. You look ravishing on the desk and every hair is in place, like you just got ready for a photoshoot or movie
I’m glad Seal is doing okay and I think you are a great work of art, Dolly.
Charlee: “We’re very happy to hear about Seal’s good report!”
Chaplin: “It’s a shame you had to starve overnight to get it, though! We sure hope you got an extra-big breakfast to make up for it!”
Your art is beautiful. I am sorry you got starved though. XO
I’m glad Seal got a good report and 24 hour snacking is back, our cats prefer that too! Both versions of your picture are beautiful, Dolly, and what cool art!
Glad nothing serious seems to be going on with Seal. Hopefully, some improvement will be forthcoming.
poor sweetheart! Being surprised about there being no food is the worst! Praying you don’t have pancreatitis !!
We’re glad Seal’s report was good – and that everyone got fed !
Dolly, your art pic is really cool!!
That’s not surprising as you are such a pretty kitty !!!
Good too that the midnight snacks will return!
Glad that Seal is doing well 🙂
Purrs, Julie
You look very beautiful Dolly! We are glad Seal is doing well x
We’re happy Seal had a good report and that you didn’t STARVE!
The Florida Furkids
Good to hear Seal is okay. As for starving…it was for a good cause, and Seal would have done it for you. Tonight all will be back to normal.
Dolly, you are gorgeous in your art. If there was no food down here at night, Mom and Dad would be hearing complaints all night, especially from Giulietta and Cooper who are quite vocal if they only find empty bowls. Glad Seal is generally okay. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
Continued purrs for Seal! I’m sorry you all had to fast with her 🙁
Hugs to you and your precious family. We’ll take some good news as best we can. Be well!
I’m glad the vet report was good for Seal, Dolly – and that you guys got a big breakfast!
I think it is good that you all don’t eat when one can’t eat. I would move if it were me, but I am proud of you. Sounds like a really good report.
Dolly, I hope you’re never without food again! I like your artwork too. And I’m glad to hear Seal’s vet visit went well and she’s doing okay.
That fasting for medical tests is hard on all of us. Glad you got a good breakfast and that Seal seems stable for now.
We love you, pretty Dolly. That must have been concerning, not being able to find your food at night! We are glad Seal got a pretty good checkup, and hope that pred helps her out. Hugs!
Dolly! You do look miffed about the food situation! We are used to be able to free feed on crunchies. We ran out the other night and Kozmo and Marv chowed down on Cinnamon’s crunchies. Well, she got up at 2:30am and wanted a snack, and ALL her crunchies were gone. She went and woke Mom up! Mom was not happy. But all the empty crunchie dishes got filled.
Sound like your in good care.
Coffee is on and stay safe

That’s a perfect photo. Sorry you had to do without those snacks but I understand. Glad all is well. It is good to get some great news! Hoping everyone stays happy and has a terrific new week. HUGS and LOVE
Beautiful.
Sorry I didn’t stop by earlier. Humans! Glad Seal got a good report like I did. Glad I didn’t miss your pretty art too.
