Hello gang, I hope y’all are doing okay, we’re doing pretty good here in the South. We had a few medium/heavy rain bands in the area from that pesky tropical depression, so while it didn’t rain super hard it did rain enough to mess with some of the kitten trapping attempts.
Speaking of trapping, it was a no go. We have a new remote control drop trap and the Dad watched all the instructional videos from the company. The remote control part works like a charm but the kittens didn’t cooperate. In the instructional videos they stressed over and over and over to let them get used to eating in the trap first and avoid the temptation of springing the trap until they are comfortable going in there for a few days. We did and they did. But, once we decided it was time to turn the trap on the kittens quit going in. Of course they did. Then the rains came.
So, up next will be a grab n’ go operation. They are still living under our riding mower so the Dad will build an impromptu fort around it, attempt to remove the cover, grab and cage them. We know that works because we’ve done it before. But the Dad is older and not as quick now, we’ll see how it goes. Wish him luck.
That’s it for now, I’ll see y’all on Thankful Thursday. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
we hope the plan works and you can get the kitties that way ;o)
Cats do what what they want…hope everything works out.
We wish your Dad lots of luck with his plan to get those kittens!
Hugs, Teddy
Good luck with trapping, you and your dad. Kittens might be little, but they’re smart,
aren’t they? As far as being old, you should see how slow the housekeeper is. Slo-mo
is lightning quick compared to her, hehe!
We’re wishing your dad TONS of good luck at Operation Kitten Capture!
Trapping kittens would be a challenge. At least it keeps your dad busy and out of trouble, right? Hope he can get them.
Good luck…my goodness I hope you can grab and go on the first try!!! And thank you Brian Dad.
Oh dear…seems all the young folks….including kittens are so tech savvy they out smart us. Amazing some how they detected something. Grab N Go good luck
Hugs Cecilia
Best of luck in operation Grab N’ Go!
the kittens are just too smart!! I am certain that Dad didn’t lose his magic touch!!!
Hope it will be something like a BOGO when it does happen!
I know your dad will get the kitties and do what needs doing. I can relate to the slowing down part though.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Good luck with the grab-n-go!

Great photo 😀
Good luck to you. Hope you can catch them. I know just how you feel.
I’m so impressed, we’ve never been able to grab the feral kits! Go Dad!
Too bad you couldn’t trap those little ones. We have our paws crossed that your dad is fast enough to catch them all.
Good luck on the captures!
good luck Dad with the grab and go… i assume you will be wearing gloves. watch out for little claws. sorry the remote thingy did not work, maybe someday.
We know that your Dad can do it!
Good luck catching those kittens. XO
I’m sure your Dad will manage, Brian. We’ll send good thoughts your way🙏Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead to all of you🐾😽💞
Hello Brian, you look so handsome today! Glad you didn’t get the worst of the rain, we got a ton of it and some flooded areas, not us, fortunately, and now here comes the thunder again . . . Wishing good luck for catching those kittens!
Oh, best of luck!
Well good luck with that I hope all works out good for your dad 👍
We have rain right as I speak, and it’s going to continue all week. 🙁
Hope yours stops and you can trap those kittens!
Goodluck on your adventure. We sure hope that a photo would be shared with us of these cuties.
I do wish you luck with this.
Good luck to Dad. Those little ones must be pretty smart. Tell Dad to be careful. And we appreciate all he does for the ferals.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Oh boy the kitties are way to smart and too quick for their own good.
Paws crossed the grab ‘n’ go method works!
Brian, you look marvellous! Good luck with the grab and go!
And the getting older thing…I started painting the house…it is going to take me 3 times longer now than it did last time (20 years ago). Parts of me creak and stick and seize up!
Your Dad is a good guy, for sure! He sounds like a patient man, so he will do what needs to be done to get the kitties and take care of them.
Lots of purrs that it works!
I sure hope your dad can grab those kittens. I’m rooting for him!
Good luck to the Dad, i hope he gets them all.
The other day i was looking for a quote for one of your pictures you posted, and i finally found it.
“The real measure of a day’s heat is the length of a sleeping cat.” Charles J Brady
I am sure your dad will figure it out. Nature will always beat something with remote control.
We are wishing your Dad good luck and hope he can make the grab and go work!!
xoxo,
Sunny and the Gang
Brian,
Isn’t there any kind of caging system with trigger release that will shut the door right behind the kitty once it enters the cage? That way there is no waiting around to get used to it, it just captures the little furball once its inside. This sounds like a great idea to me. I hope your dad doesn’t have any trouble gathering them up. The rain always happens at time you don’t want and when you do want it, it doesn’t show up. Good luck on that end!
Cats are stubborn creatures! BUt if I know you, it will all work out for the very best. I always love the photosd here. Thanks fpor sharing.
Humans do not give us kitties credit for how smart we are. Even kittens catch on quickly. Hope the grab ‘n go works. Keep us posted. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
Good luck dad! Don’t get scratched or bit.
Good luck to your Dad!!
