Mancat Monday: The Rain Put a Damper on the Scampers

mancat monday brian 06142021

Hello everyone, here we go with another edition of Mancat Monday, and the month is just about half gone, do you believe that? Oh no, before you know it Firework time will be here for the 4th of July. Yikes! But honestly, here where we live, you don’t need a holiday to set of fireworks. Some bozos were setting them off most dry nights last week, the loud boomy ones too.

The Dad had hoped to have some trapping done with the kittens but it hasn’t happened yet. The rain has sure put a damper on those plans. The Dad won’t even try to trap in the pouring rain with thunder boomers. The drop trap we have has a remote control unit so we can’t have it out in the rain or the electronics will get messed up.

Oh well, this week is supposed to be dryer so we’ll see what happens. Me? I’ll be inside cheering him on of course. Otherwise, I’ll probably be snuggling with the Mom in the evenings. That is as it should be. See y’all on Thankful Thursday. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

And last week was for certain a damp one. Supposedly this afternoon potentially stormy and H O T. But next two days very pleasant I hope the same for you

We had rain and flooding followed now by steaming hot temperatures which has left us in a land of mugginess. Dogs and cats, however, like this better than all the thunder boomers.

  4. Sandee

Fireworks. Our Angel Little Bit hated fireworks. We don’t have the same bozos here. Thank goodness.

Snuggling with mom is a good thing and I know she likes even more than you do.

Have a purrfect day and week. My best to all your siblings and your wonderful peeps. ♥

  5. Ducky & Bogie's Mom

It’s amazing how the fireworks get set off around here “just because”, isn’t it?! Ducky just barks at them and – so far – Bogie pretty much ignores them. But poor Callie used to be so stressed by the fireworks and thunderstorms. And occasionally gun shots in the neighborhood behind us.

Even though you are a manly cat you sure look like a cuddly loving cat. Sorry about the rain stopping with the trapping hope it stops soon and comes to us. Maybe the rain will stop by Thursday and you can say you are thankful on Thursday that the rain stopped

  7. Derry and the biped

If you send us the rain, Brian, we’ll get something we need, since we’re in drought conditions, and you’ll get something you need — dry weather for trapping! Good luck!

  8. Diane

Oh boy, we had a beautiful weekend but now more rain and thunder boomers have arrived. Good luck with the kitty trapping.

  9. Madison

We have one set of neighbors that is setting off the fireworks randomly at night already too. It is bad enough on the actual holiday, but other times is really irritating!

  10. Leah

It’s been rainy here too and may be over for a few days now. Good luck with the kittens, keep cheering Simon, that will help!

We aren’t fond of the fireworks either. So far we haven’t heard any although we have had some pretty loud thunderstorms. We finally have a dry week here too, but why does it have to be so HOT!!!

Woos – Lightning, Misty. and Timber

It’s very hot here in London at the moment I will send it to you, I hate fireworks too

I hope better weather arrives soon although you do look comfy there 🙂

    Have a damperlesstastic Monday 👍

  14. Emma and Buster

Somehow the mention of rain made us very very jealous. We are in drought again and hope somehow we’d get a little relief before rationing happens. Hope you get the trapping soon.

  15. Kitties Blue

Hope your dad can get those kittens when things dry out. We have been getting huge storms, usually at night. Have a great week. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet

  16. Summer

Paws crossed for some dry weather so you can trap the kitties! We have a small family right now that a rescue is going to help us with, if we can get the babies and mom on a regular food schedule.

  17. Cathy Kennedy

We got a lot of rain last week and it carried through the weekend somewhat. It sure makes it difficult to do thing outdoors when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Better luck to the Dad to tramping this week. It’s gonna be dry and hot here, so I expect y’all will be the same. Summer. Is. Here!

  18. foley monster and pocket

We wish your dad good luck with the trapping. That is the kind of trapping we like.
