Howdy gang and welcome back to another Tabby Tuesday post. You might have heard, I wasn’t feeling well either. Both Dolly and I had a bad case of the barflies. We’re both doing much better now an we’re both back to eating like we should. We’re just not getting any of our favorite chicken pouch food any more. We’ll adjust though.
Right after I had the barflies the Dad decided to give me some Laxatone. I’m the only one here that isn’t cooperative with meds of any kind and I don’t like being handled in the medicine kind of way. So, the Dad and I had a wrestling match. The Dad said “I fought the cat and the cat won!”. I’m a slippery little bugger when I want to be, and it was time to be slippery.
Sometimes Dad’s a slow learner, maybe he’ll remember that next time MOL! Have a fun Tabby Tuesday everyone. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I am glad you are both doing better, Simon.
I think that food you two liked wasn’t doing you any favors! Glad you’re both feeling better Simon.
Hugs, Teddy
feeel better dear Simon…. that’s what our dad says too after a wrestling match ;O)))
Sometimes cats can sure be difficult. We are all good about taking medicine but the cats are a different story! Glad you both feel better.
Simon, you got my mom smiling pretty good here. I don’t understand why, but she sure is!
Simon, your wrestling session with your dad reminds me of my wresting sessions with Sweetie! I won some of the time, just because she’s a tiny thing, but she proved that size doesn’t matter much when avoiding meds!
Simon: +1
Dad: -1
We’re glad you and Dolly are feeling better, Simon. Laxatone is so sticky, it ends up all over the giver, the cat and any place the battle took place. Yuck.
When Simon says no, he means NO
Hugs Cecila
So glad that you and Dolly are both feeling much better now. Stay healthy and have fun being a cat!
My goodness sermon you look so tame and fun and sweet and good and innocent! Who knew that you could fight a dad and win! Glad you’re feeling better
So glad you are feeling better! Oh I laughed at “slippery little bugger” my Chiana is the same when it is meds time!
You look very relaxed on your cat tree, Simon. We’re glad to hear you and Dolly are feeling better now.
Yay for feeling better!!
xoxo,
Arty and the Gang
Glad you and Dolly are healing ~ sweet photo of you, Simon ~ kudos to Dad for trying ~ Xo

I’ve had kitties that didn’t like the medicine routine either. Can be very dangerous for us humans too. I remember that too. I’m glad you’re both feeling better.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Charlee: “Never bet against a cat when there’s a medication-related struggle!”
Good to hear you and Dolly are feeling better. Never fun to have the barfies. You have a wonderful place to hang out on. I’m not showing it to Teddy and Jack. They would think they are underprivileged with the simple one they have.
I’m so glad you are both feeling better and I hope you didn’t hurt your dad too much, he was just trying to help!
Glad you’re feeling better now Simon! And Dolly too! (Umm, laxatone is actually a good thing . . . )

You need to let your Dad give you meds- it is for your own good. XO
Did you use teeth and claws? Heh heh. I read barfies are Bar Flies and was wondering what bar you and Dolly were hanging at.
I am trying very hard not to laugh at a wriggling Simon and sticky Dad!!!!!
I’ve gotten my share of scratches. But you’re worth it. 🙂 Be well!
You probably have a good view from up there.
We are glad you’re both doing better. Daisy Mae doesn’t like med’s & is a slippery one too. Maybe you’ll find a new favorite food.
Our best
So glad you’re feeling better but sorry you’ve lost a favorite food 🙁
I’m glad you are feeling better, Simon.
Simon! You’re such a great guy in every way that you should also try to give your Dad a break on the meds front! Our Genji was like that. Tiny but really fierce when it came to meds. #1 felt so bad wrestling with him constantly those last few months…
Purrs,
Tama and Benny
My human was laughing at the image of “I fought the cat and the cat won!” But I bet it wasn’t that funny at the time. I’m just glad you are feeling better.
I went through the same thing and I can’t have my canned food either. It is a rip off.
We’re glad you and Dolly are feeling better, Simon!
Simon, first I am so happy you and your sister are feeling better! But……..I have to say Dad’s comment had me laughing out loud!! ““I fought the cat and the cat won!” Roary (and Levi for that matter!) think you did a great job!
Hi Simon! Wrestling with pawrents is terrifying (for them at my house) I absolutely refuse to be picked up or held in any sort of way. Mom has to wear welding gloves after 2 BAD cat bites. We hope your Dad survives!
Has your Dad tried smearing the laxatone on your paws so you have to lick it off?
Goodness, glad you are both better. Those lil bugs we get are so awful. You are soloved and I bet you both were well cared for. So sweet.
Simon, you are on handsome dude and I love that you have a mind of your own. But be gentle to daddy and mommy. They love you a lot.
Pawkisses and pawsome hugs
What a cute pic Tabby 😻
