Hey gang, I hope y’all are doing okay. Yes, I’m still on the back of the couch and I don’t see me moving any time soon. It’s just so darn comfy up here and if something moves out side I can see it instantly. It doesn’t hurt to keep tabs on the things that are going on out there.
I can see birds hopping around in the front yard and every once in a while a birdie will get up on the rainspout and look down and chat with me. Sometimes I see a squirrel bouncing about too. Of course I can see over at the lake but not too much has been going on over there lately. I think all of the fireworks scared off the wildlife for a while.
Speaking of fireworks, I’ve been a little surprised that they are mostly over with. Usually they go on for weeks after a holiday but we’ve only heard an occasional boomer in the evenings. Yep, we’re all pretty happy about that here.
Okay, that’s it for me today, I’ll see y’all on Thankful Thursday. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
No point in moving if you have got a comfy spot with a view, Brian.
that’s good that the booms and bangs happen only rarely… this week we will have da bastille day and we hope for less noises too
So everybody loves that new couch…
You DO look awfully comfy there, Brian. I like to try different spots for a snooze, but I find one that’s perfect, I always come back to it! Glad your fireworks fizzled sooner this year. We didn’t have any except those that were in the next town. Happy Monday!
I can definitely relate, and is the perfect spot for me to finish up my Leverage: Redemption binge on television today, along with a cheeseburger and lemonade. I promise to clean up after myself too and not leave a mess.(lol) Hope everyone is doing well, and Happy Monday! Hugs, RO
We don’t know if there were fireworks because we were gone Friday and Saturday night but we hope there were not. Last night was quiet and we loved that as we were in bed early. Keep an eye on the squirrels for us!
That’s such a relieve, Brian, fireworks are so not done! Enjoy the wildlife outside. I wish I could sit with you and watch them together😸Pawkisses for a Happy Monday and Week ahead to all of you🐾😽💞
Mom always says “I hate fireworks”. I agree with her.
We had someone around us shooting off firecrackers the other night, Brian. It was loud and I hope that’s the last of it.
Brian you look super comfy but I can tell you’re also up on that couch to keep an eye on things. I like to be in a spot where I can watch from all directions too! Mom calls me the “Home Sentry”…..HAHA
Hugs, Teddy
You do have a cozy perch. Enjoy.

Brian for sure stay on that couch. I love that pose very regal!
Hugs Cecilia
You are the ultimate mancat! Do you talk back when the birds talk to you? Nugget loved to chatter back at them. Fireworks around here have been unusually quiet this year too thankfully. Have a mantastic week! 😉
We had one Boomer last night and the two days before that there were one or two each day. But they’re pretty much gone now. You look so Majestic up there on your porch watching your cat TV out the window
That’s a pawsome spot. We’re glad the boomies have stopped.
The Florida Furkids
Wish I could join you!
You sure look comfy on the couch, Brian. We’re glad to hear the boomers have quieted down for you.
You look mightily chillax’d, Brian!
Good to read that the noise of fireworks have gone for your area.
We had some idjit blasting off things one night, after we’d all gone to bed but the windows were open.
Come to think of it, we haven’t heard many booms and bangs on our side of town this past week either. Let’s hope it stays that way!
You’ve a purrfect place to relax and view the world. Excellent. I’m glad the fireworks appear to be over too. We’ve not heard any at all here. We’re happy about that.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
It does sound like you are good at keeping track of everything, Brian! I’m glad you have peace and quiet and no fireworks. We don’t like them here either!
Yay for fewer fireworks…it’s been a relatively quiet week too…just a few boomers here ad there. Enjoy your prime birdy TV spot Brian!!
xoxo,
Arty and the Gang
Nice that the fireworks stopped. I find them annoying and tedious! Relaxing while watching out the window is a great thing to do!
That is a nice viewing spot. 🙂
Great photo. Almost like superman!
Surprised you’re seeing so many things when it looks like you’re fast falling off to sleep …
no point of leaving that comfy spot, somebody else might take it.
the firework situation is the same here. The reason is that because of COVID, the supply wasn’t as abundant as it is in normal years. People can’t get their hands on them like they used to, (thank COD!)
Brian ~ you look like ‘King of the Couch’ ~ great pic of you sweet kitty ~ Xo

We usually have weeks of the boom booms too but not so much this year. I think fireworks might have been a little hard to find and more expensive than in previous years. Hope you have a wonderful day on the back of the couch….but you should probably come down to eat a bite later. X
Oh my, I thought the title was “Crouching Tabby”, you know, like “Crouching Tiger”? But I guess “couching” is far more comfortable.
So glad the thunder boomers have stopped! We’re pretty lucky…they’re never very bad around here.
Brulee likes to hang out in the top of her cat tree and watch the world go by. We’re also pleasantly surprised that fireworks haven’t continued this week, but we’re happy about it!
That couch looks perfect, and i wish they could get rid of the fireworks totally, except the professional shows on major holidays.
When you have the catbird seat why would you move?
That couch is an awesome spot – I can see why you don’t want to move!
Charlee: “Our Dada says we have to ask if there’s a hidden dragon nearby.”
Chaplin: “We have no idea what he’s talking about, as usual.”
You have a Man Cat hold on the couch Brian and that really lets you lean when you are looking out to see the action. Purrs friend
Oh, couching is the best seat in the house! The fireworks were not too bad here, either, thankfully! Enjoy your couching!
Brian,
I thought it was interesting that our neighbors didn’t shot off many this year. Last year there was a lot going on. You wouldn’t have liked that much at all.
