Sister Saturday Caturday Art Day with Dolly and Her eMails

sister saturday dolly 01 07242021 copy

Hello everyone, I hope y’all are doing okay and I hope you’re all going to have a fun weekend. I’ve had a pretty good week, yes, I really have. I got all combed out and got my favorite pet wipe bath. I really love it and I purr the whole time. The Dad combs me on a regular basis which is great because I have a really thick undercoat that needs attention.

Anywho, do y’all ever get emails, like from your Vet??? We do and lately I’ve been on the email list. I’m due for my rabies shot and a general look-see exam but the Dad isn’t taking me yet. Most Vets in our area are allowing one human in with the patient, but not my Vet. The Dad isn’t too happy about that since we know the Vet staff has had their Covid shots and so has our Dad and Mom. We’re waiting until the get their act together or we might have to switch Vets. Hey, I can wait, no problem Dad!

Okay. enough about the Vet and emails, it’s time for my Caturday Art…

If everyone has had their jabs and wears a mask there is no reason for your vet to not let one person in. It seems very over cautious.
Your art is lovely, Dolly.

Yes, these days we will communicate with Vets via telephone and emails. And only one person is allowed to bring the pet in, but the receptionist will take the pet and we are not allowed to wait inside. We wait outside at parking lot and will talk to vet via windows, with mask on, of course.

My vet calls me on the phone while I am waiting in the car. It is way better to be in the room for the pet’s sake and mine because sometimes I need to see what the problem is.

I agree with Mom and dad and we are allowed to go in with Beau. here some vets allow it some do not. i think the ones that are still not allowing people in love the fact they don’t have to deal with parents and they can move the pets through faster and take in more cash. it makes no sense to me. Dolly you have The Most Beauitful Green eyes in catdom… love your artistic shot also

Mom has long been a curmudgeon about the keeping the moms and dads out. And we think they do that because they don’t have to deal with our moms and dads that way, And they have an excuse to keep them out. I was making progress toward being less afraid of the techs and wham! No parents. In the very beginning, we could see that, but not after a year! I’m as afraid as ever.

Dolly you are, and mom and I always say this, the most beautiful girl in the world.

I need to have a shot too but we’re hoping our vet will allow Mom to take me in and stay with me. As long as I have my shot before October when I have to be boarded while Mom and Dad take a vacation, that works so MAYBE by then things will be normal (whatever THAT is!).

I love those eyes. Our vet makes me wait in the car. I do not like that because I believe my cat (whichever cat that may be) will be less nervous and more comfortable if I am in the exam room with him.

Nice artwork. We hope your vet changes their policy.

Egads, that’s a magnificent piece of art!
Unfortunately, there are huge spikes in folks catching COVID, and even though we are fully vaccinated, it’s making us stay home, so I understand why your vet is being cautious.

You are such a pretty girl and I love the art too. Our vet still isn’t allowing parents in the office either. I can’t really blame them with so many unvaccinated people out there.

Dolly I 100% agree with Dad’s decision. Angel Madi used to get annual check up reminder post cards….she was embarrassed to tears when one reminder her to bring a poop sample. You know everyone between the vets office/post office and our mailbox knew her business

We like both versions of your picture, Dolly. Millie has to go to the vet next week and our vet has started letting one parent in with us so our mom is taking her.

Beautiful art. I am sorry you can’t have a pet parent go in yet. My vet finally lets in one. XO

What a sweet face. 🙂 I can’t say that enough.

As for the pandemic, my husband said a strain of Covid 19 has developed that can infect those who’ve been vaccinated. We who have been should have few or now symptoms but anyone not vaccinated can catch it from us and a large percentage of those poor souls end up in intensive care. Scary stuff.

OMC that artwork is incredible! I love it! Our Vet isn’t allowing us in yet either……I HATE IT. I take that back, I think they are allowing ONE person, not two. I think when a pet has TWO pawrents, they should allow them BOTH in, not just one!

Dolly you really look beautiful today my dear girl. Amazing color on an already ravishing kitty. Yes, about those vets, our old vet lets people in but our new vet does too so we made the switch. And already Rumpys treatment is working like 1000% better. Yay

Gorgeous art. It would make a fantastic puzzle. I missed my appt back in November cos of that vet thing but they let Pop in with me a few months ago. Dr. D. was ready to bend the rules otherwise cos she knows she can’t handle me alone or with 2 vet techs w/o Pop.

I don’t blame your dad one bit. This is getting ridiculous. Parents don’t have to drop their kids off at the door and wait out in the car for them, so why should pet parents?

Teddy and Jack get emails from the Vet. Teddy is going for his yearly check and rabies shot next month. Last year I had to wait outside, but this year I can go in with him.
You are a beauty, Dolly. Great artwork, too.

Dolly, I get emails from the vet too. I try to delete them before the mom sees them. 😉

Catzowey and hello from the Rainbow Bridge. Do not change your vet cuz of that reason … hey my Staff before I crossed over had to drop me in arms of the vet tech on sidewalk – then she’d speed walk around the neighborhood and vet would call in 30 mins and bamzatini I’d be ready for Staff to pick me up on Sidewalk. still the same for dat lil Enzo who’s moved into my home and Grappa too. Safety comes FURst. Of course my Staff and me lived in San Franfuncisco where I reads the MEWS .. lowest covid… Read more »

Our vet opened his clinic to the public about a month ago, but we haven’t had reason to go yet. Soon though, but we love our vet.

Our vet clinic posted a photo last week on Instagram of a cat that came into the clinic very badly matted. They had to cut chunks of fur off his body, and he had lots of sores under all the fur. You are lucky to have a Mom and Dad who take such good care of you and your furs.

As upsetting as it can be, going to a new vet might make sense in this case.

We don’t understand this business about the v-e-t. Ours lets pet pawrents in with their furbabies, no problems at all.

We have been lucky as our vet started allowing one purrson in ages ago, Mom was even able to ditch the mask after she got fully vaccinated although that may have changed due to the number of idiots who won’t get vaccinated down here. But even when she couldn’t go in she felt comfortable with them getting us out of the car and taking us in as she knows the Dr and staff really well and if their was something serous that needed talking about Dr. Lisa came out to the car. Although Mom hated not being able to go… Read more »

We would hold out too; it doesn’t really make sense that they would not let one person in at this point. If they are still nervous, they could have the person wear a mask for extra precaution!

Very aryt! Our vet isn’t too bad, I can go in with the cats 😀 I think all pets need their owner with them.
