Hey gang, thanks for stopping by on Tabby Tuesday, I do appreciate it lots. I know Brian told you about the big thunder boomer that went through over the weekend. It was a bit scary, let me tell you that all of us were on alert and I was a big bit nervous.
When I get nervous or scared I go and lay with my pal Woody. I know you can’t totally see Woody, and I know I’ve mentioned him before, but some of you didn’t know who Woody was. Woody is a wooden cat and his head is tucked under a corner stand by the front door. Woody’s butt sticks out and I use it as a de-stressing pillow. I started that when I moved inside and I do it still to this day. Woody is my safe spot.
Do you have a safety spot you go to when things get scary? Okay, I’m outta here, catch y’all later and have a fun Tabby Tuesday everyone. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Meow, Simon :-)) Stress is the killer…I am glad that you know how to destress yourself properly! Hope Brian is doing better now!
That is a pawsome safe spot Simon!
When I get scared, my safe spot is mum. or under the bed.
Purrs, Julie
I love that you have such a nice safe spot. I just fly down to the basement when I feel afraid…..there are a lot of “hidey spots” down there and most of my toys are there. Whatever makes us feel better is RIGHT – right?
Hugs, Teddy
Every kitty needs a safe spot, you’ve chosen well … purrsonally, I like way up top of the kitchen cabinets!
Our cats don’t seem to be afraid of storms. Sophie is under the bed when people come over as she is afraid of new people. Bert is like a dog, no fears of anything, really.
I do have a safe spot. It used to be under the dining table but now it is under the left corner of the bed.
i am happy to hear you have a safe spot, Beau said to tell you his is behind the rocker or behind the sofa…we had another 2 hour thunder boomer last night.
That’s a good story and adorable picture. Someday we need to see what ALL of Woody looks like.
Looks like a good spot.
dood we like ta chill with mizzturr dust bunnee who lives under de bed a lot…funnee thing… him never askz for carrotz tho ???
🙂 ♥♥
I wondered what beautiful piece was supporting your gorgeous head. 🙂 A big stuffed Cartman (from “South Park”) seems to provide Jezebel occasional comfort when the young cats overwhelm her. I brought out the doll, gifted by a coworker, from the usual spot in our bedroom in case the toy would comfort our new kittens, ironically. Polly had acted overwhelmed coming up out of the basement at first. That didn’t last long. LOL
We all have our special friends that we like to hang out with. Good for you, Simon. I’m sure Woody is thrilled too.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
I don’t normally get scared……I get more annoyed than scared. I like to spend a great deal of time in my pawrents room (which is babygated and Levi can’t get there!) I have food, toys, beds, and my litter is in Mom’s bathroom. Love, Roary
Frankie fears fireworks and dives under the bed.
Simon
Woody sounds like the purrfect de-Stresser and he is available no matter the time or day.
Hugs cecilia
Looks like a good place to ride out a storm Simon, Woody seems very comforting!
Woody looks like he will protect you. 🙂
We have a big inflatable toucan, but it rather fears Mr. Elvis.
Good for Woody to make you feel safe. Great photo 😀
It’s good to have a safe spot!!
The Florida Furkids
Thanks for introducing us to Woody! Glad he helps with your nerves. Floki is scared of thunder boomers, too. He hides under some shelves where no one can reach him.
I think you look very regal there hope you feel at ease now the boomers have gone 🙂
Have a safetastic day 👍
That’s great to have a safe spot, most of the cats here go under something if they feel the need.
Simon, you are a cutie! Glad you have a safe “pal!” When storms hit, our angel Bandit used to hide way in the corner of our kitchen nook in the far corner half under the drape!
Simon you are so handsome with those incredible eyes ~ glad you have a ‘Linus woody.’
Xo
I like my indoor dog house Mum bought me ~ it is cozy ~ ^_^

Our pets are saviours in this crazy world at the moment. Nice post! #WednesdayWisdom
Staying stress free is good for your all around health. Glad you have the safe space. Woody sounds wonderful.
We had some very loud boomers this morning. The only one bothered by them is Misty. But Timber is terrified of the icemaker in the cold box, and his safe spot is under the end table at the farthest corner of the family room:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It’s important to have a safe spot…and not just for cats, people need them, too!
I don’t think I’ve met Woody…he’s adorable!
We all have something that gives us comfort. Don’t let anyone tell you different.
Coffee is on and stay safe
How nice that you have Woody to help you be less scared, Simon. I usually head under the bed when I get scared.
We are so glad you have a friend to snuggle with when things get skeery!!
xoxo,
Jakey and the Gang
What a great safe place Simon! I Marv, like my Ratty. When we get boomers, I get Ratty and I curl up between the pillows on Mom’s bed. Cinnamon hides behind the toilet.
I don’t get scared much at home. Or elsewhere, really!
That’s a good safe spot you’ve got, Simon. Ava’s is UTB.
Hi, Simon!
Us pups like to be under petcretary’s feet under the desk. even if we are not nervous:)
We had boomers last night and maybe more later…
Woody is your thunder buddy
That’s so sweet Simon. Our safe place is mommy’s lap. Always has been and always will be. Big hugs

Glad you have a safety spot to go to when things get scary.
Looking adorable as always, Simon.
Simon you are the handsomest cat I’ve ever seen.
I’m so glad Woody is your safety net. We all need one.
Mine are Mishka-Laila my furry girls and also a big mulberry tree that I go and hug, or the lawn and nature downstairs. 🙂
Have a wonderful week, it was lovely to see you in my nook dear Brian.
I love Simon soooo much. <3
I wasn’t curious about Woody, just wanted to see you, sweet Simon🙈😸Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you…but I think I’ve said that already…MOL🐾😽💞
my safety spot is between our kitty Lucy and my sweetie Russell! Take care!
