Hello everyone, thanks once again for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today, I am thankful to have one medicine done with. You might remember that my Internal Medicine Vet wants to get me off of the “pretty rough” meds I’ve been on for years. These meds, at least two of them, require some serious weaning time. The first one I’m done with and I had to wait two weeks to make sure there weren’t any negative things happening. The two weeks waiting is done and all is okay, and I’m most thankful for that. The next one I just stop tomorrow, no weaning, but I have to wait another two weeks to start weaning on the last one. Phew!

Actually, now that I’m off this first med without any problems I’m much more active than I’ve been in a while. I’m even going all the way upstairs once again. I’m thankful for that too. So, what are you thankful for today??? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

It’s wonderful to hear that you are doing well without that med, i hope the other two go just as well. Sometimes we need medicines only for a season until our bodies heal up, and i pray that’s the case for you.

Brian, we’re so glad things are going well so far with that weaning stuff. And it’s wonderful that you’re much more active now! Much love and continued purrs to you and your family!

Brian that is really great news and the best part is you having more energy. We are lucky and Thankful to have such loving families. This week we were also Thankful for the great rescues and shelters that help so many of us pets.

This is great, Brian! Sometimes the meds we take/need can lead to unwanted side effects, so we’re glad you’re off med #1 and are becoming more active. Continued purrs and purrayers to you. ♥

Good for you, Brian, getting off those nasty meds that were hurting you. Our Mom is now taking us to a whole-istic vet and we love her! No metal tables and she gets down on the floor with us. Keep getting better, friend.

    Hey Brian,

That’s good news to hear! I’m always weary of meds and won’t take anything that I absolutely do not need. That’s the way I’ve been all my life. Some meds are addictive which scares me. Humans have terrible judgement when it comes to controlling when they should and shouldn’t take pain meds for themselves. It’s different when they care for another, so it’s a good thing your mom and dad are in charge of the meds. They’ll have you off that stuff in a safe manner before you know it. Here’s to better and better days ahead, my furriend!

from the look on your handsome face in this photo, weaning is not painful. so glad you are getting off the second one, now for us here waiting for anything is painful. I borrowed your handsome face to advertise clear the shelters today. I needed a handsome cat..

Meowser Brian dear furiend, I’m very, very thankful that you’re getting away from medicine! My last meme for today partially explains my stance on medicine.
Hurry up and get well dear furiend!
Oh, and thank you for hosting this blog hop.

I’m glad you’re doing so well getting off the medicine. Sometimes the medicine is good in the beginning and then as time passes it isn’t. It’s happened to me too. Keep up the great work.

That’s great news, Brian!! So happy for you! And for your Mom & Dad as I’m sure they were just as concerned for you as I would be for Ducky or Bogie. Hope the “weaning off” continues to go as well for you!!
