Hello gang, I hope that your Monday is going okay, mine is, and as you can tell, I’m catching some rays and catching some naps. Hey, I can multitask with the best of them. I’ve had lots of practice over the years but, I’ll keep practicing.
Anyways, as you might recall, I had to go see my Internal Medicine Vet last Thursday. This was just my one month follow up so that she could check me out and see if I’m doing okay since starting on Prednisolone. First off, the trip to the Vet place is almost half an hour but I was pretty good in the car, I hardly sang at all.
Then, we got there and I got my turn pretty quick. I did pretty good on my exam, I’ve lost a wee tiny bit of weight, nothing of concern, and my glucose was up a bit, but noting she was concerned about. My Prednisolone was reduced a bit. All in all she gave me a good report and I’ll go back and have some blood work done in January.
The weaning off of my meds is still going good and I’ve just got about three more weeks to go. Those were some pretty heavy duty meds I’ve been on. How heavy duty? I guess you can say I’ve been stoned since 2010. Now that I’m not, I was pretty surprised to learn I have a Brother and his name is Simon. Dang, when did that happen???
Oh well, have fun Monday and remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
that are super good news…and we are so happy that it works so good to get off of that meds… a week what starts with good news will become a goo week too, right?

We are very happy for you, Brian. Be sure to welcome Simon, even though he’s not new. Being stoned for 11 years is quite the accomplishment, especially since you’re a pawfessional blogger.

Good news, Brian. And even better, you don’t go back to the vet until January!
Oh, sweetie, what did vets prescribe for you? I’m glad things are looking up. ~hugs~ You are precious.
This is such wonderful news!
That’s great news, Brian. Keep up the good work—and keep eating.
Now, what are you going to do about your brother?
Whoa, Brian!
You know all about your brofur Simon…he’s the one racing up and down, back and forth!
I’m glad your vet visit went well, Brian. It sounds like you are better off without those heavy meds.
I’m glad to hear you’re doing good, Brian, and finally coming out of your drug fog. 🙂
Sounds like thinks are going well for you medically we are so pleased to hear that. Yeah that prednisone will keep you in a fog. Mom is down to one mg and she is so much better, we just hope she doesn’t have to go back up.Scylla sends her love.
Good to hear you are doing good and all looks well. Our daughter Hannah in Western NY and her husband have a white cat lurking around. Finally he came on their porch for food and drink. He allowed them to take a photo. I will post later in the week. They call him Casper. They feel like he belongs somewhere. My friend Lorna’s big kitty Blaze got out the door and has been gone for three days. She is very sad. I am praying I hope you continue to get better each and everyday. Enjoy your week and get your… Read more »
That is great news, Brian, we are glad you are doing good. Keep it up! I understand about that “being out of the loop” feeling. Sometimes I look around and it’s a whole other next day or two! Hugs to you all!
We are so glad that you are doing well Brian! Its amazing what coming off meds does. Mom had a really bad concussion in 2001 and she lost almost 2 years! She can’t even remember 9-11. I bet it does not take you as long to get back to normal as it did her! Sending you loads of purrayers.
Stoned since 2010? So has my mom.
Brian,
I’m glad to see you’re getting clean, furriend. Oh the things one must endure all in the name of “good health”, right? Once you get all this detoxing done, you might feel like a young kitten again. 🙂 So happy you got a good report!
Charlee: “We’re glad to hear about the good vet report, Brian! Keep it up!”
Chaplin: “And yeah, it’s funny the things that can happen when you’re a little bit, uh, medicated. That’s what Spicoli tells us, anyway!”
Yay for good reports!! MOL, just finding out about Simon?
Oh, dear. That’s pretty heavily medicated, all right. It’s great to know you don’t need all of that any longer. Enjoy having a brother!
Brian, we are so happy you’re doing well, and imagine rediscovering your brofur Smon!!
Brian I think you are pulling our fur a tiny bit MOL. We are so glad to hear you are on track
Brian, this just made us laugh and laugh!
We hope you’ll be able to wean off the pred, too, Brian. Next thing we know, you’ll be trying to play with your brother Simon, now you know he’s there, BOL! XOX Lucy and Xena
