Hello everyone, we had a busy week here at Brian’s Home, okay, it really wasn’t overly busy, but we did have company. Some friends, Tina and Meg, stopped by for a visit and of course, as you would expect, Dolly, Simon and Seal ran and hid. Me? No, I didn’t run and hide at all. I did take take time to check out their boots though!
Anywho, last Monday I went to my Internal Medicine Vet for a follow-up visit. The results of my blood work came back and the good news is that there really wasn’t hardly any changes, which means I’m holding my own in several areas, I’m still early Stage 2 CKD, so staying the same is good news. I’m also doing good in battling the IBD. Our wonderful Internal Medicine Vet was very pleased. She said not only did I look healthy, I looked happy! That’s really great to hear our Vet say that! Thanks to all of you who wanted to know how I did.
Today is Dad Pete’s first Heavenly Birthday since he left back in November. Our friends over at Wonderpurr.com suggested that we post a link to one of our favorite posts from his blog. Here’s ours…
The Anxiously Awaited Update on the Famous, Einstein!
We were always big Einstein fans from the time that wee and sickly guy showed up on the scene. We don’t know what happened to him when Dad Pete died, but we constantly pray that he and the other kitties are okay.
That’s it for today, have a most wonderful Monday and a wonderful week. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I’m glad you had such a great checkup, Brian!
that are such good news!!! and we wish a heavenly birthday to einsteins dad and we hope with you that all kitties are ok….
Wonderful news Brian – you stay happy and the health things can be conquered with all that love! We understand that Pete’s cats are fine – they were adopted by a good friend of Pete’s – someone who knew the cats and already had cats so Pete’s gang has company. We know no details other than the cats are where Pete wanted them to go. Sending hugs to you!
love, Teddy
Wonderful news.
Brian, we’re so glad you got a great report from the vet! ♥
We’d read a comment last week another blog that Pete’s cats were together and being well-cared for, and now we see Teddy’s comment here with a few more details, so that’s terrific news too!
That is a great vet report, Brian! Sadly, we never got to meet Pete. He looks like the most wonderful man.
I am glad you had a good vet result, Brian.
Pete was a wonderful person and instinctively knew when I was feeling down. Maybe it showed in my comments, but he would email me with words of encouragement. I will never forget him.
I had also read that his kitties were taken in by a friend and kept together. I hope that is right.
You chose a good post in memory of him.
You do look happier and healthier, Brian. Awesome everything turned out the same. no news is good news.
Great health report you have! Hope you continue to thrive and be so happy, that is really important. We too worry about what happens to pets when the humans suddenly pass. Hope they are all doing alright.
Brian, you look fab. I am delighted at the results of your exam. Thank you for your remembrance of Dad Pete, too.
Oh, that darling Einstein! I’m so sorry not to have met Pete but what a wonderful man and so glad that your Health report is top notch! Love from Loulou

We miss Dad Pete and the gang. We’re so glad so many bloggers have honored him on his birthday. We know there’s a huge party at the Bridge for Dad Pete and his angels.
Yay, good news – we’re all so glad you are holding steady on the healthy and also being happy is so very impawtent when battling illness, so wonderful to hear that you have both. We worry about Cat Dad Pete’s kitties and send purrs, POTP and pawsitives their way.
Glad to read the good news that your IM vet is happy with your results! And that you are happy and holding your own in the health department.

Charlee: “Hooray for a good report from the vet! We’re very happy to hear this, Brian!”
Chaplin: “We didn’t know Dad Pete, but anybody who was beloved by so many of our friends has to have been a great guy in any book. We sure hope he is having a grand party over the Rainbow Bridge!”
Excellent news about your check-up. Your Mom & Dad & vet are all taking such good care of you. Very sweet of you to link over to Angel Pete & Einstein, and I was glad to see in the comments that the kitties are all ok.
Hooray for good news from your vet, Bran! Keep it up!! That was a great post about Einie, sheesh, he sure was a tiny one! That post was from before we were blogging, though we did know all about Einstein from the Timmy Tomcat Catster posts as it was still functional back then. We used the ‘wayback’ machine and we can see hiis pages and ours, too as well as many others…though of course we can’t comment, etc. It great to know we can still see all the posts we made in our many pages there…one for each kitty (6),… Read more »
We are glad your tests came back with good results. Stay happy and healthy.
Alas, We never got to know Dad Pete purrsonally, as some of Our fellow bloggers did, only through his kitties – and We can see from all the comments what a sad Loss that is. We are glad he took thought in advance for his furbabies and that they have a loving home and are still together. We are certain he is still watching over them from the Rainbow Bridge, together with his other kitties who went before.
