Thankful Thursday Blog Hop:  New Foodies Are Yum

thankful thursday blog hop brian 03242022

Howdy gang thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Not too long ago on a Thankful Thursday post I mentioned that I was thankful we were trying out some new foodies.  Well, today I’m sure thankful that we did because just about all of the new food we tried was filled with lots of yum.  All three of us kitties are enjoying meal time and we’ve been right there ready to eat.

You may or may not know this, but all during my ongoing illness and then the IBD diagnosis, I haven’t been eating the best.  When that was the case and I didn’t eat enough the Dad hand fed me to make sure I got all of the calories I needed.  I’ve been eating solely on my own lately and we’re all thankful for that too.

Okay, that’s it for me, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

  2. Derry and the biped

Brian, new food sounds great, we’re glad you’re enjoying it! The biped wishes she could feed Derry something other than the Hills z/d wet and dry, but it’s the only food (and she’s tried a lot of brands, both premium and not, limited ingredient, etc.) that doesn’t give Derry diarrhea. So you’ll have to enjoy your new foods for him too. LOL.

Oh Brian, that’s great to hear. It’s no secret that y’all have the most awesomest dad ever to take care of you. Oh, and I especially love that picture with your little pink tongue out. Mom and dad were trying their best to stick to my special kidney diet prescription stuff, but after consulting with my vet they’re pretty much giving me whatever makes me eat the most, considering I am 18 years old. The vet says as long as I’m eating it’s all good.

Having food you love makes a huge difference. For my first several years I didn’t like to eat either but now I eat like a champ! Keep on dining!

That’s great news about your new foods, Brian! #1 always feeds us a wide variety of foods so that we don’t become too reliant on anything in particular. We just got a big shipment yesterday and we are thankful for that!

I’m glad you’re eating on your own. I remember dad feeding you extra so you would get enough to eat. You’ve come a long way and we’re all happy about how well you’re doing. I’m also happy you like the new food too. That’s always a huge plus.

Hooray for yummies! I am so glad you are eating on your own Brian – your Dad is so kind to have hand-fed you for so long – he is a Superhero!

  13. Kitties Blue

Our mom would really like to know what the new yummy food is, as Sawyer is such a picky eater. Could you send her an e-mail and let her know? Adorable photo of you today, Brian. Oh, such good news. And good yummies for you, too. So wonderful to eat on your own and what a great papa you had to feed you himself. Give him a head bump!

Bwian, I am so happy to hear yoo are getting hand fed. It’s about time, as yoo are the King of yoor house. I got hand fed the other day too. What happened was, I pushed my face into my mommy’s noms, and she used her hand to push me back, but had some mashed potato on her finger and it went into my mouf. I’m pretty sure this means I was hand fed. Love, Dori

  18. Create With Joy

I’m so glad you have found food you like! I know what it’s like to not be able to find food you kitties can eat.
Thankfully we have 2 types of food in the house that Magellan is eating now.
We are still facing food chain supplies so this is truly a blessing!

  19. Lucy and Xena

Aren’t you going to tell us what food you decided on, Brian? XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia (Not that we could eat it anyway, being dogs and eating raw, ya’ know?)

  20. Cathy Keisha

Glad you love your new food. I bet it’s more expensive than the old food. I also have my good eating days and my bad eating days. A couple of days this week, I fasted but then yesterday I started eating a lot again.

  21. The Oceanside Animals

Charlee: “We’re glad to hear the new foodables are yummy and that everyone is eating them!”
Chaplin: “Yeah we know how scary it can be with the IBD when you don’t want to eat. We saw it with Dennis, poor guy!”
