Howdy friends, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
One of the things we have here that we’re all really fond of is our cardboard scratchers. You’ve seen the photos, they are literally everywhere. Well, at the moment we don’t have any scratchers in the kitchen. I wonder why not? Anyways, we have round ones, rectangle ones, oval ones, wide ones and thin ones. Each of us will use them sometime throughout the day.
Today, being the end of the month, is our Scratcher Replacement Day. The Dad will do an inspection and replace those that are torn up to the point that they are a cardboard mess. MOL, it looks like that is gonna be most of them this month. We’ve been pretty busy tearing them up. Thanks Dad, we appreciate the new ones!
Okay, that’s it for me, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Brian, it’s a funny thing: Sweetie will not use a scratcher!
Not a vertical one, not a horizontal one.
She will only use the throw rug.
Da Boyz have scratched up many scratchers, like you!
Your dad is most efficient, having a specific day each month to do this chore. Hope he’s feeling better and fully recovered, and enjoy those new scratchers!
Genial siempre hay que estar pendientes de nuestras mascotas. Te mando un beso.
Your dad sure does do you kitties right, Brian! We hope you all enjoy those new scrathers. 🙂
Your Dad is a great Dad- have a lovely day testing out the new scratchers!
Can we see a before and after picture, please.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Wow, your Dad is super organized to have a regular end-of-month scratcher replacement plan. A new scratcher is always satisfying.
Ah…..thank you for the reminder. After tripping over one scratcher in the hallway I thinkit is time to replace it. MIster Kitty gets pretty excited when he hops on that particular scratcher. I better get a new out and set it up. Love oyur photo tosay! Missed seeing all of you. HUGS and MEOWS to all
Aside from the spelling erros on my previous comment, sorry about that, I am always happy to be here. Yes, the scratching posts, pads, need replacing. Some cats get extra excited to play with them while enjoying them so….it is about time to change ours around here too. Thanks for the reminder. Love your sweet photo and always enjoy visiting you. Enjoy the weekend. The month was brand new and now it is going to be gone away. Take care all.
Looks like that you are enjoying your nap, Brian, and we too need to get some new scratchers.
that is super great… so efurry last day of the month is a little like christmas with getting new scratchers… that is fantabulous!!!
That is nice to be getting new scratchers. The boys only used upright ones on their cat trees. They weren’t interested in horizontal ones apart from Flynn using the carpet sometimes.
Oh boy…….are you dreaming of new scratchers now Brian? I won’t use them but I do use the covering on my cat tree as a scratcher and when I’m outside I LOVE using the trees! Thanks for being our host for the Thankful Hop every week.
Hugs, Teddy
You gave mine Mommy an idea, thank you. I have 2 scratchers and then a scratcher-mat … but now she keeps picking up itty-bitty bits of cardboardy scratcher stuff from EVERYWHERE so I told her about your replacement plan and she said,
OK, that’s a good idea …
thank you.
How nice to have your scratchers replaced. Bert used to go wild on them and they only lasted a few months but now that both kitties are older, they don’t use them as much. Mom trims their nails, and they also grow slower. Enjoy the fresh scratching opportunities!
I am laughing today because I can see just how ‘excited’ you are about scratch replacement day.. did somoen check your pulse? brahhaha on the Easy of Easys
We love our scratchers and tear them up pretty good too.
Your peeps make sure things are in their proper order so you have what you need. You have great parents. We all know that.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Brian, that’s awesome that your dad regularly replaces your worn-out scratchers! You do have excellent human servants!
How nice that your dad makes sure you all have so many scratchers around to use or take a nap in.

I love your photo
Hugs cecilia
We have some here and one of them is about to give way. Heh… Your humans are the best!
I wasn’t aware it’s scratching post day… well I’ll let Milo know and I’m sure he’ll scratch something in solidarity!
You sure do look comfy, Brian.
I better get on the ball! Roary has 3 scratchers (2 of which he uses all of the time) and I probably need to replace his too!
New scratchers can’t be beat! Cute photo of you, Brian!
Oh you take wonderful care of your cats and us!
You are so lucky to get new scratchers so often. XO

Great that y’all use the scratchers! Around here, only Jack uses it, Teddy likes the furniture, and Sophie likes the rugs.
