Hello gang, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today I’m thankful for those who foster pets that are, or will be, waiting for their forever homes. You know who you are out there. We have quite a few blogging pals that foster sweeties on a regular basis. Fostering is really important for young kittens since it helps them get used to human interaction and lets their personalities bloom to the fullest potential.
Fostering isn’t easy and it’s something we couldn’t do here. We would end up with an abundance of foster failures, not doubt about it. Plus, our two formerly ferals, Simon and Seal, are fearful of most any change, and we just couldn’t put them through that. They might be okay with some of those they see on our deck all of the time, but we’re not overly sure about that. So fosters, bless you and we salute you, you’re making a difference!
Okay, that’s it for toady, what are you thankful for? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
We agree! Pet foster parents are wonderful, and awesome, and we, too, are so grateful for them! Our Angels Gracie and Zoe were foster failures for us. We never had a chance. LOL
muy cierto y hay qu eestar agradecido por toda persona que cuida a sus animales y adopta. Te mando un beso.
Yes, fosters are fabulous!
They do the lion’s share of care, and some many animals are saved because of them.
I so agree with you! We have friends close by who foster cats – usually Mommy cats with kittens or pregnant cats about to have kittens! They are such kind dear friends- have a lovely day!
If i ever get to retire and i’m home more, i would love to be able to foster again. It is a joy.
I so admire those who foster! They help so many. I think we would foster fail big time, too.
Brian and family, for some reason I cannot add the html code for anything since the last WP update. No linky tools, and no amazon links or ANYthing. BUT I have linked clearly to the post for Thankful Thursday (until I sort this all out AGGHH!!)
Couldn’t agree with you more, Brian 🙂 Have a wonderful day!
a big thank you to all who help to make this cold world a little better… we would fail too with fostering… ;O)
We think foster humans are awesome too! My human, if she had time, could do it – she has no problem giving up kitties to a better life than she can offer. Even though it has hurt her the couple of times she had to do it.
I’m pretty sure I’d be a foster failure if I gave it a go. Fostering takes very special and loving peeps.
Foster homes and rescuers deserve the biggest hugs EVER. It’s a hard job – sometimes sad and sometimes very rewarding but it’s done FROM THE HEART and we love everyone who is involved. So many lucky animals who need a chance to know what a loving home is. Bless them all
Hugs, Teddy and Mom
It takes special people to foster. Mom would have to adopt every foster if we tried to have some.
Fosters are indeed wonderful. It’s so hard to say goodbye when their job is done, I am sure.
the shelter that Beau and Big Boy came from are always begging for fosters for cats and dogs. they have quite a few foster familie in winter when the winter snowbirds come but during summer it drops off. Thank you to all who foster these cats and dogs..
I am thankful to those who foster too. And thank you for hosting. Have a great day. XO
Fosters have my full and unswerving admiration as have peope like your mom and dad, Brian…who care for ferals.
Yes bless them for doing such a wonderful thing for kitties. So many do and I applaud them all.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
We totally agree. Raz lived in a foster home and so did Noelle.
We agree that foster families are the greatest. Both of us were in foster homes before coming to our forever home and we have great love for our foster pawrents.
We salute all the foster pawrents out there; they do a truly wonderful job. The P.A. wanted to foster but she’d never be able to give them up once they arrived at BBHQ. Thanks for hosting sweet pals, we love Thursdays at your place!
Yay for folks who foster! We have a few foster failures running around our house, that’s for sure!
Fostering isn’t easy…it takes patience and understanding and unconditional love. If only the furries could tell us how they lived their previous life it might help.
Hugs Cecilia
We would foster if only Granny could hand the kitties over to another home, when they’re ready for it. She is to emotional connected with them, so we would have a shelter of our own, I suppose😸but we’re very grateful for effurryone who can do it, it’s a mission💗Extra Thankful Pawkisses to all of them and to you too, Brian🐾😽💞
Thank you
Yes, people who foster pets are great people.
We agree. Foster parents are amazing!
Cute pose❤
So grateful for fosters, caregivers, rescuers of animals of all kinds ~ they are precious ~ Xo
Wishing you laughter and love in your days,

I salute all those who foster too. What a wonderful job they do! We have our hands full of furry critters so we could not to fostering. Two of the pups are just anti social to other pets and one is scared of his own shadow. Mister Kitty is very naughty and hisses and cries so keeping him calm is a full time job somedays. At least my photo resized and showed up here. My other blog, not so lucky. Linky and I have a history. hahaha
You are all such thankfuls to us. THANK YOU!
Oh the Linky site and me have a history of ……who knows?! But at least ine of my photos popped up correctly here for the other blog.
Thankful for all who foster.
Thankful for you being here to keep us smiling.
Thankful for the blogs that share their favorite fur loves.
Thankful for being here too. Thank you.
Thankful for your smiling and happy faces.
Mama misses fostering…but, like Simon and Seal, it would be ruff on Sunny.
xoxo,
Rosy
Fosters are the best and deserve praise!!
Reading: That’s it for ‘toady’ made me giggle. But with all due respect, your family does awesome work. ~hugs~ I thanked a woman at my veterinary clinic for fostering dogs, by the way. Be well!
Fostering sure is important. Mom wanted to foster dogs, but Dad said no, he gets attached way too quickly, like in about 87 seconds. That’s why we still have Chia. XOX Xena, Lucy and Riley
Chia: Hey!
We agree…they are such heroes!!!
Foster parents are awesome but feral parents are too!
We’re thankful for all you do and all you share! 🙂
I admire those who foster animals. I don’t think it is something I could do. I get too attached.
You said it, Brian! And while our mom would love to be able to foster, she knows there’d be 500 cats here forever in no time.
Bless the foster parents.
My son and daughter in law, foster kitty before.
Coffee is on and stay safe
I am considering perhaps fostering kitties for our vet and the rescue efforts he supports…not now while I an still working but perhaps when we are both retired as we really miss our own kitties…even though maybe we’d also be foster failures, LOL!
Fosters make the world go round!! We so appreciate them! We tried for a bit but ended up with two foster fails (wins).
I could never foster either for the same reason that you mentioned. But…I am so grateful for the many people who do foster!
