Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today I’m thankful for the most recent road trip, really.  Oh, it wasn’t me, it was Seal.  You might remember that Seal was auditioning a new Vet since her most previous one totally dropped the ball with us and failed to give us the results of her blood work and urinalysis from back in February.  So, Seal got to take a road trip to visit her new Vet.

How did it go?  It went great.  The place is really nice, the front desk crew was amazing and the Vet Techs were top notch, kind and caring.  Boy did they fall in love with Seal.  Anyways, the Vet was really, really nice and guess what else?  The Vet has 8 cats of her own. She also got Seal’s test results from her previous Vet and her urinalysis was purrfect.  Her blood work results were normal too and the Vet went over the results line by line and explained everything in detail.  She is a super nice Vet and Seal passed with good grades all around.  We’re all thankful that Seal is a healthy kitty.

The Dad kept trying to close the Sleepypod so we could go home but Seal kept popping her head out.  She must have liked everyone there!

Then there was a second road trip.  The Dad had his appointment with his Vascular Surgeon, a really super nice Doc, and guess what???  The bottom line is he says the Dad is fine for now.  The diagnosis he had was based on an aortic ultrasound.  Fortunately, when the Dad had his appendix out he had a CT Scan, which is the refined view of choice.  There is not really any sign of an aneurysm and the calcium build up on his aorta, while visible, isn’t all that bad either.  He said the aneurysm diagnosis was an overestimation of the size  He told the Dad to do all the things he knows he should be doing for a healthy lifestyle and that he should be fine.  We’re all thrilled, relieved and thankful for that news too.

Okay, that’s it for me toady, what are you thankful for? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Two positive sets of test results…fantastic!
And of course everyone fell in love with Seal.
But did everyone fall in love with your Dad, at his appointment?
    Inquiring minds want to know!

Hooray! That was some awesome road tripping, for sure! We love that the ew vet for Seal is so wonderful, and that Seal got a clean bill of health. And a new and amazing vet! And yippee for Dad getting the thumbs-up, too! We all love him, and want him around for a long time to come, so we are thrilled at that good news.

Wow! Congrats you two. It’s good news for you both. I think all those pawsitive wishes from the Cat Blogosphere must have had something to do with it.

Now you and Seal can both kick back and relax. The new vet and crew must be good ones, because Seal gave her Seal of Approval. She would rather schmooze than snooze. Awesome.

We’re so thankful that you, Terry and Seal are good to go. No worries, mates!

  4. Leah

We are SOOOOOO glad for your dad. Hey, that’s a poem! That aorta stuff is worrisome…but that is GOOD news. Eat that fish, Dad! And Seal, what wonderful reports for you, you gorgeous kitty. And do you know the incredible musician who is named after you, haha? Lovely man, we met him once when he came to look at mama and papa’s for sale house. A lovely guy. So hurrah for all your good, good news.

  7. Teddy

Well we sure are glad to hear all this good news. We were hoping all was well with your Dad and of course Seal so we are doing happy dances for both of them. It’s always good to stay on top of our health – we all want to be here as long as we can right?

    Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)

  8. Lucy and Xena

We didn’t understand all that technical medical talk, but we do understand that your Dad is OK, as long as he takes care of himself, Brian. And you know you’ve found the right vet when you don’t want to leave! Yay for that and the good checkup and results from the (boo!) previous vet. We bet you guys are celebrating today! XOX Xena, Lucy, and Xena
