Today I’m thankful for the most recent road trip, really. Oh, it wasn’t me, it was Seal. You might remember that Seal was auditioning a new Vet since her most previous one totally dropped the ball with us and failed to give us the results of her blood work and urinalysis from back in February. So, Seal got to take a road trip to visit her new Vet.
How did it go? It went great. The place is really nice, the front desk crew was amazing and the Vet Techs were top notch, kind and caring. Boy did they fall in love with Seal. Anyways, the Vet was really, really nice and guess what else? The Vet has 8 cats of her own. She also got Seal’s test results from her previous Vet and her urinalysis was purrfect. Her blood work results were normal too and the Vet went over the results line by line and explained everything in detail. She is a super nice Vet and Seal passed with good grades all around. We’re all thankful that Seal is a healthy kitty.
The Dad kept trying to close the Sleepypod so we could go home but Seal kept popping her head out. She must have liked everyone there!
Then there was a second road trip. The Dad had his appointment with his Vascular Surgeon, a really super nice Doc, and guess what??? The bottom line is he says the Dad is fine for now. The diagnosis he had was based on an aortic ultrasound. Fortunately, when the Dad had his appendix out he had a CT Scan, which is the refined view of choice. There is not really any sign of an aneurysm and the calcium build up on his aorta, while visible, isn’t all that bad either. He said the aneurysm diagnosis was an overestimation of the size He told the Dad to do all the things he knows he should be doing for a healthy lifestyle and that he should be fine. We’re all thrilled, relieved and thankful for that news too.
