Mancat Monday: I Hope the Quiet Continues and the Hot Cools Off

mancat monday brian 05232022

Hello there everyone, I’m hoping you had a good weekend, ours was pretty good.  Our Mom and Dad said to tell all of you thanks for the nice wishes on their 50th Wedding Anniversary last Friday.  They had a good time, they went out to eat at a restaurant they’ve not been to before and they said it was really good.  They didn’t bring home any kitty bags so we can’t verify that one.

Anyways, our air conditioners have been working overtime because it’s sure been hot, hot, hot here in the South.  We can feel it inside and we don’t see many of the ferals until the sun starts to go down.  Even then, they are making themselves scarce until the dark hours, but it’s still hot even then.  The Dad has been making sure they have plenty of fresh, cool water.

This week seems like it’s going to be kind of quiet again.  But, it’s early and y’all know how that goes.  Sometimes when we’re hoping for quiet is when the crazy starts to happen MOL!  Okay, that’s it for today.  Y’all have a fun day, catch ya later. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

It’s gotten cooler here and supposed to stay that way all week. We’re having thunderstorms today, though!

We hope your wish for a quiet week comes true. We certainly did not have a quiet Sunday, as Benny explains in detail in today’s blog post!

    Purrs,
    Tama and Benny

Our ac’s were working overtime too and now the cool breezes have arrived. We hope they have arrived for you too!

    Brian,

I’m glad to hear the mom and dad had a lovely 50th wedding anniversary. I wish I hadn’t missed sending warm wishes on Friday. I’m not hanging around Blogosphere much these days. It’s turned really hot here in our neck of the south, too. We’ll get a little reprieve today with rain in our forecast but the heat will return. I think summer is here because Mother Nature says so, don’t you? We’re blessed to have air conditioning in our homes. It’s hard to fathom how folks survived before that marvelous invention but they did. Stay cool and have an awwwesome Monday, my furrriend!

It is cold here, Mom says she might turn on the heat this morning because it is only 62 in the house and the high temps for the next couple days are around 60. Summer temps should be back on the weekend. Hope your weather cools off a bit.

  5. Teddy

Happy your parents had a nice anniversary celebration. We have the same kind of weather as you do Brian. Yesterday it was super hot and humid and windy – then late afternoon we had terrible t-storms with high wind and tons of rain. This morning it’s chilly – will be three days this week before we warm up again. Weather is weird…..!! Keep cool buddy!

    Hugs, Teddy

  6. MadSnapper

we had 3 days of thunderstorms, lights flashing, thunder booming and we got not a single drop of rain. just the crazy stuff. yesterday our temps broke the record of 96 and went to 97.. that means feels like 107 and the humidty we could drink… I feel your pain and the sweet ferals too.

  7. Leah

Sounds like a nice anniversary … Sorry to hear about the heat. We should have it too but we are getting some spillover coolness from the Midwest right now. LOL we know all about the crazy sneaking up when least expected. You are looking good today, Brian.

Belated happy 50th anniversary to your humans. As far as heat goes, these peeps home area is the Northeast and this past weekend broke some records for May. Turns out they are not at home right now so they were spared by being in Florida! Crazy! They call it Climate Change for a reason. Stay cool, folks and kitties!

  9. Precious

Sounds like mom and dad had a great weekend except for the heat. It was in the 90’s up here too for 3 days. But
the thunderstorms moved in and yesterday thru Tuesday it is extra cool, 40’s at night. Up down up down, like a
cat climbing the tree, up down. Have a great Monday.

Good to hear your mum and dad enjoyed their special day but no kitty bags is a bit much lol (=⚈ᆽ⚈=)

It’s been warm here in London too but it never lasts long it’s now back to usual dull dreary and rain arrghh!

    Have a cooltastic Monday 👍

Hey there Brian. Yep, it’s always good to be a “cool cat.” BOL! It’s cooled off here in Chattanooga today with all the rain, hope you got some, too. XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia

It suddenly got so cold here in the midst of an approaching warm summer. I am trying to save my propane until prices go down and didn’t want to turn on the furnace so I sat around wrapped in warm clothes,

  13. Sandee

It’s going to be in the triple digits here on Wednesday. Not looking forward to that.

Tell dad thank you for watching out for the feral kitties.

Busy week here. Getting ready for our upstairs remodel. On Thursday all the furniture will be removed by a moving company and stored until the remodel is done.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥

  14. Derry and the biped

It was hot here for one week, about two weeks ago; now the biped has had to have the heat on in the early mornings to take the chill out of the house. Crazy yo-yo temps this year for us! We’ll send you some of our cool, you send us some hot, and we’ll all be happy meeting in the middle!

We had to turn our furnace on this morning…it was 39 here last night. Brrr. Northern areas of Michigan were under a frosty warning! Go figure.
Quiet…that thought and word should never be thought of nor spoken..at least that is what we say at my work…not until the shift we are on is over, LOL!

Glad your pawrents had a great celebration!

Hope you all will stay comfy and well.

    Hey Brian et al
I am late for a very important date..visiting you. At 8:30 am I had internet …then bam it went bye bye. At 9 am we left on our first road trip to a State Park since last fall. We just got home. More on that soon it involved 2.6 miles trek we two old codgers made it. We expect cooler today and tomorrow

The heat in the south has already hit the high nineties. Today is not unbearable, but it isn’t what I would call pleasant. I am trying not to complain because that makes everything seem worse.

  21. Robin

I think I congratulated your mom and dad on their anniversary, but if I didn’t please let them know I said congratulations. Fifty years is a pretty big deal! I hope things cool down for you in the south. It was only 60 degrees here in Michigan today. We’ll try to blow some of our cool air down there.

  22. The Oceanside Animals

Charlee: “Oh, yeah, we’ve heard it’s crazy hot back East.”
Chaplin: “Our Papa and Mimmier are visiting from New York and apparently it’s 20 or 25 degrees warmer there than it is here in California.”
Charlee: “They said it’s because California shipped its warm weather back to New York for while they’re out here, and New York will ship it back once they get home.”
Chaplin: “One of Mother Nature’s little jokes!”

  23. Little Binky and Granny

We like it hot, Brian, but it’s raining and cold since yesterday, so I leave some cold here and take some hot with me..yeah, I guess I do that🌞Extra Cool Pawkisses🐾😽💞
