Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
It’s been a pretty bad couple of weeks hasn’t it? First we learned that Paula Gregg was diagnosed with cancer and the next thing we knew is that she was gone. Today I’m thankful for the her friendship and the contributions that Paula made to our blogging world and I’m thankful for the outpouring of love and support that was evident in the blogging world and on social media.
Paula and I became friends when she started blogging back in 2008. I was really excited to find another blogger that lived in South Carolina. Although we only lived an hour and a half away, we were virtual friends until we finally met at BlogPaws in 2017. When we finally met the virtual thing went right out the window, the friendship was already there.
Paula was very persuasive, she told me she was interesting it taking over The Cat Blogosphere but was only interested in doing it if I would join her in the venture. As you know, she won me over. Paula contributed so much to our little corner of the internet and everything always had a positive impact and moved us all forward, individually and as a team. Pet blogging and Cat Writing is better because of Paula.
Facebook, unlike Twitter, doesn’t have Trending Topic data, but if they did then surely Paula Gregg’s passing would have been a trending topic. So many recounted their special encounters with Paula, each brought additional tears and smiles. Thank you Paula for having such a positive impact on so many. We’ll always remember you, your words, your deeds and your beautiful smile.
Okay, that’s it for me toady, what are you thankful for? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I’m sad that this world lost another shining soul.
So very sad.
I met Angel Paula in Chicago a few years ago, and had a terrific time together there.
Please accept my condolences for the loss of your friend. While i never got to meet her in person, i know the Cat Blog world is better because of her being there. My heart aches for all who knew and loved her.
Me da mucha pena por tu amiga no la conocía. Es duro perder a un amigo. Te mando un beso y todo mi cariño.
I’m stunned and saddened by the loss of Paula. Though I knew her online and never met her, I could tell she was a warm and kind person. I’m glad to have experienced her blog and her presence on social media and in CWA. A sad loss for all who love cats.
Paula will be much missed. Her light shone bright and I hoper her blog stays safe as a resource of Persian cats.
What a beautiful post and tribute to Paula. She was such an amazing soul, and a wonderful friend to so many. The outpouring of love and remembrances of her make so clear how she touched so many lives and hearts. Hugs to you as you remember Paula.
Bloggers become our friend, and it sad when they die.
Coffee is on and stay safe
We’ll miss Paula but we’ll really miss Truffle and Brulee. TW met her a few times at Blogpaws and they talked several times on the phone. Her memory is also alive on Twitter; in fact, we’ve even talked about cancelling this weekend’s Chilipawty but the show must go on.
Its so hard when we lose such a good friend, and not only a friend, but someone who you worked with in the world of cat blogging.
Her memory will be cherished forever.
hugs to you and to all who will miss her so much….
This is a lovely tribute to Paula. Her swift passing still seems unreal, like a very bad dream. She will be missed by so many.
Rest in peace, Paula!
Such a tragic loss, and so quick and unexpected. We’re glad her girls are in good hands.
Purrs,
Tama and Benny
We didn’t know Paula but DID know of her significant contributions to the blogging world…..she made friends EVERYWHERE she went and it’s beautiful to see the tributes to her. Thanks for being the Hop Host!
Hugs, Teddy
I did not know Paula and after all the wonderful things I have read about her around the blogospehere, I am sorry I did not know her. My condolences to all her friends and family and to those that were so close to her in blog land
I’m so sorry that we never got to know Miss Paula. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends♥
Sudden losses are difficult. We here at Mark’s Mews did not realize the seriousness of Paula’s situation at first. The news of her “arranging her affairs” and going into hospice for only hours was a shock. We did not know Paula as personally as many did. But we feel the loss of a cat-lover and a Manager of the Cat Blogosphere. I hope to last until the last Mews passes, but as recent events show, you never know. As cats pass over TRB, people do too sadly often, and are missed equally. The longer I stay here, the more I… Read more »
Bailie and Mom met her at BlogPaws too. They sat together at a PetSafe event and chatted. She was a very nice lady. We were shocked to hear she had cancer and then could not believe it that she was already gone just a few weeks later. It is so sad and we feel especially sad for her kitties.
This is a lovely memory and tribute. It’s such a shock that this vibrant generous woman is gone way too soon.
Love and sympathy.
I am grateful to you for allowing out friends who passed, Paula and Mary, to share the page. Ther passing was a shock and we are all trying to assimilate it.
I was telling Pumpkin Puddy in an email just now that I have had had the extreme pleasure of meeting several cat bloggers and as you said, there is NO strangeness. They are like old old friends, which they are, sitting on the couch, drinking coffee and talking up a storm….like family.
This is a lovely post in memory of Paula. I’m still shocked by her sudden passing; even though I didn’t know her (except via blog and Instagram), I’m struggling to process it. My continued thoughts and prayers to all who knew Paula and who are grieving.
Remembering Paula with thankfulness is a wonderful way to keep her memory alive.
What a beautiful tribute to Paula, she will be missed by many.
Paula was loved by all. I wish I had gotten to meet her in person. Thank you for hosting. XO
A beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady. Paula was truly a very special person. Mom is glad she got to meet her whenever she came to Florida. She is thankful to have known Paula.
It is so sad that Paula is gone from us. She was indeed a beautiful , caring woman.
She will be missed so much and will not be forgotten.

Her smile lit the world. I’m sorry you lost such a great friend.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a blessed Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and my best to you and your wife. ♥
A special friend, very special to you … will not be forgotten. Those who make an impact on our lives, as Paula did, live
on in our heart and our memories.
This is such a lovely tribute to Paula. Although we didn’t know her, we can tell from all the comments she was a well-loved person. Our paws are crossed for all the family and friends that are missing her.
Terry what a beautiful tribute to a lovely friend and cat lover…Paula had the most amazing smile. This picture of two new friends is a treasure too.
Sending comforting hugs to all who loved and knew her

Paula sponsored me for the CWA and when I attended their virtual conference this year I finally got to hear her voice and see her smile on my screen – such a gracious, loving and amazing woman – I never met her in person but always felt she was a friend and a wonderful advocate for all issues related to cats. The world lost a gem this week that can never be replaced.
I never had the honor of meeting Paula, but it’s clear she has left a mark that
will never be erased. I send my condolences to her friends, and especially her
family; having recently lost their mom, I know they are devastated. This is a very
nice tribute to Paula ♥♥♥♥♥
Sending purrs
Beautifully said Terry. Paula will be missed. Her fingerprints are still all over the blogging community and I’m sure they will be for a long long time to come.
We were sad to hear that Paula passed away, and so quickly. Thankfully, she was surrounded by people who love and care for her and her cats. She was a shining star in the Cat Blogsphere and is now a shining star in the heavens.
(((hugs))) of comfort to you dear friend
