Howdy everyone, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today, I’m really thankful for our Dad’s eyes and that they are both just fine. They Dad had to go for his annual eye check up on Monday and although it was a long appointment everything is okay. We all actually wondered where he and our Mom went off to, our afternoon snack was late. We were a bit hungry by the time they got home.
Anyways, back to my story. Back in January of 2019 when the Dad had cataract surgery, the tests indicated that he had early Glucoma in his left eye. During the cataract surgery he had an additional surgery on his left eye called The Kahook Dual Blade Treatment. It’s a treatment for Glucoma. You can look it up if you want to know more about it, it’s too long for me to explain.
Long story short, the scans of Dad’s left eye shows no progression of Glucoma at all, none, zip, zilch. That’s really good news and we’re all very thankful about that. The Dad couldn’t quite see right when he got home. He said they dilated his pupils. His pupils? i didn’t even know he was a teacher!
That’s it for me. So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
It’s good to read that your Dad’s eyes are doing well, Brian!
Someone got schooled…we just don’t know who or when…
Me alegro que estes bien de tus ojos. Te mando un beso.
What wonderful news! My Sweetie has had eye trouble since he was born, so i understand how important it is to stay on top of everything to do with your eyes.
Ok, first of all – writing “eye” and “blade” in the same sentence – that gives me the creeps! So glad the Dad is fine, with no progression of the Glaucoma. And hopefully snack time will never be late again!
Glad to hear dad eye is doing ok.
Coffee is on and stay safe

We are very glad to hear that your Dad’s eye is doing well. We have been worried about our #1’s eye as her cataract surgery has not yielded anything like the desired result. She has another appointment with the surgeon on the 31st.
Purrs,
Tama and Benny

Brian, some pupils need more looking after than others. At least your dad’s pupils are obeying all the rules of
recovery and staying well behaved. I am thankful I have many hiding spots to sleep. And I’ve been sleeping in until
5:20 AM in Lynn’s chair at night. She woke me up with breakfast this morn instead of other way ’round. Precious
