Hello gang, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, we did. Yesterday was, as you know, Father’s Day in the U.S. and our Dad had a wonderful day. We got him some goodies and he and the Mom had a nice steak dinner to celebrate. Of course we all purred on him lots too! But, the hot weather continues in our neck of the woods.
Anyways, I mentioned on Saturday that our Dad went to pick up another deck umbrella for our ferals. Here’s a glimpse of their new shady areas…
There is a big deck umbrella on the deck that covers both of their feeding stations. The sun hits right on them this time of year so this not only gives them additional shade, it helps keep their food cooler and fresher. Down below the younger cats tend to hang out by our lawn tractor (no longer in use) so there is also an umbrella for that area too. Oh, at the top of the stairs you’ll see some chairs and a metal cat trap. Those are there to block access to coyotes so the deck can be a safe space.
So, that’s it for now, have a fun day Monday and a fabulous week, see ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

That’s really nice..now the ferals could have a summer party up there 🙂
that is super sweet to help your ferals with that summer heat… you are the best …
What a nice thing to do for the local ferals I wish I lived near I could join them heheh!
Have a brollytastic Monday 👍
What a wonderful idea to provide some shade, shelter and protection for the ferals! Fabulous!
Hugs, Pam
Come one, come all ~ it’s a Four Star Feral Hotel!
Your dad has made nice shady areas for the ferals.
Those kitties are so lucky to have you all to care for them. We’ve had so much wind, one can’t put up an umbrella around here.
Umbrellas up just like the resort beaches for the rich and famous! And full time safety protection just like the grand hotels of the world! These kittes outside are loose but loved and well cared for. But with the heat, good thing you are inside Brian. No need to sweat it out. Even inside, Precious wants her water very cold. I keep the multiple bowls in the fridge when she is sleeping during the day. And in the morn for breakfast I pull out the fridge chilled bottle of water and replace every bow.
If I was a feral, I would want to live by your house.
Pleeeze…send some of that heat up here!! It’s been so cool … make that cold … for June!
That’s what we get for livin’ in the North Country
It’s so great that your humans really look out for the ferals to give them their best quality of life. thank you
Brian, I’m glad Dad had a nice Father’s Day. Yum, steak sounds delicious! It’s very hot in our neck of the south east, too. I can’t believe these high temps. Most of this week we are expected to be in the upper 90s. That’s not fun and while the shade certainly helps, it’ll still be suffocatingly hot. My plan is to stay indoors. These temps bring to mind the year our first child was born. We were having a heat wave. She wasn’t due to arrive until mid-July but thankfully she had other plans arriving two weeks early. I couldn’t… Read more »

What a nice space for the ferals, I’m so glad they are being well protected! And I’m happy your Dad had a good Fathers’ Day. Record heat is about to hit our part of the southeast, too
Your ferals are better taken care of than many house cats! Our heat wave broke yesterday to everyone’s relief!

The feral clowder has got it extra good now.
Your Dad takes such good care of you and the ferals!
That is a very nice setup for the ferals.
Our question is, are they still ferals when they have all the comforts of home? Will they let you pet them? Whatever the answer, like others, we’re all very glad you take such wonderful care of these precious cats! XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
awww so thougtful how you set up the deck! Cheers!
Your peeps are the best!

Hi Brian! Your dad and mom are very wise to block off visits from any creature that could hurt the ferals. Those kidlets are so lucky to have your house to feed, water, and relax in the shade if they want!
Such very kind peeps you all have!!! We hope the ferals know how good they have it.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You are something else to keep your ferals in such comfort and indeed even luxury. I know every one of them is important and deserves to have a good life, so thank you for providing it to them.
Those feral kitties are being well taken care of.
Such a thoughtful dad.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Linda sombrilla te mando un beso.
You have the best cared for ferals around
Your dad is so nice to the ferals and to you guys too. Glad he had a great dad’s day. I bought my Pop a shirt that said “world’s best cat day.” He liked that better than the gift I gave him the day before when I horked on his bed.
What a great way to help the ferals.
I SO love the first class service your ferals get! Better than some “owned” cats I know of!
You’ve created a safe haven for your feral clowder!
you definitely have the most THOUGHTFUL Daddy EVER!!
Charlee: “It’s a feral resort oasis! I bet the drinks have little umbrellas in them, too!”
It’s official. You have heroic parents. 😀
