Mancat Monday: My Scratcher Arm Rest

Hello everyone, how do you like my arm rest?  It’s pretty convenient since it doubles as a scratcher!  Oh, my arm rest doubles as a scratcher, not my arm MOL!  I hope your weekend was a good one, ours was sort of good and sort of not that great.  But that’s the way it goes.

The good part is that we had a cold front actually move through our area and it was in the high 80s to low 90s.  Yes, based on what we’ve had here recently that’s a cold front MOL.  Today and tomorrow are supposed to be better yet, so we’ll see.

The not so great part is that the evil Coyote was in our backyard again, at 3:00 in the morning.  It’s hard for the Dad to give the Coyote a warm welcome when it’s in the middle of the night.  We sure do worry about our ferals who like to run, romp and play for most of the night.

Okay, that’s it for now, have a fun day Monday and a terrific week, see ya soon.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Hope ferals are all OKAY! Are you guys living near the woods? Simply can’t imagine a coyote would appear at our backyard…
Stay hydrated and enjoy the summer heat! We have lots lots of rain last days..

Hope the cooler weather remains and you get a well-deserved break! We don’t like the coyote coming around. We’ll have to send you some coyote repellent to keep the ferals safe! (have no clue where to get it, but you know our hearts are in the right place.)

Memories of Eric and Flynn

It is nice to have somewhere to rest your arm! I hope the ferals stay safe from the coyote.

We have cooler weather up here this morning too. I think I would not want a coyote in my backyard. We have Chipmunks and bunny rabbits that I love to watch it a coyote would just eat them up.

We know there are coyotes not far from us, too. We’ve heard of cats and small dogs being carried off. We stay in our fenced area if we have to go out at night, although one time Mom saw one of those evil coyotes in the middle of the day near a dog show. She keeps saying she’s going to buy a gun… XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia

EEEEK on the coyote Brian. We have foxes but so far nobody has seen a coyote around here. I would be concerned for ferals and all kinds of other wildlife that’s for sure. I think you look quite comfy on your bed with your arm resting on the scratcher. Keep it handy – you never know when you might want to use it!

A scratchy arm rest doesn’t sound too comfortable but then I’m not a kitty. 🙂 Is a scratchy thingy the equivalent to a human message? I do like a good message. Have a awwwsome Monday!

Kinda scary about the coyote. Hope there are trees for the ferals to run up and hide in the branches.

Its awful to have them running through like that…the coyotes. We are caked up with them here and…the bears are coming out quite a bit in town.
Brian, you look so avant guard!

Great idea for an arm rest! It’s better than just leaving that arm to dangle. Is that coyote noisy at night? I sure hope your ferals get outta there before he sees them. Interesting how your arm gets rested but your Daddy doesn’t.

Coyotes are not good. They have killed dogs in our area.

A mantra by Brian: Always keep your scratcher close at hand, er, paw.

Cooler weather is good news! Looks like comfy resting. Coyotes worry me, too, Brian. I sure hope the ferals are okay. While I’m usually sympathetic to wild animals, it scares me when coyotes are around.

That’s a great arm rest, Brian. 🙂

We hope your ferals will be safe. It’s tough when other critters like coyotes have families to feed. Nature often is cruel. Anyway, we hope the coyote will move on, roam elsewhere.

Brian what a treasure to have a 2in1 scratcher.

I have heard many ways to keep coyotes away from your yard, all of them found on google search, but most of them involve smells that coyotes hate, and that might not be good for the ferals.. I know that is so upsetting. one thing said sometimes even 6 foot fencing can’t keep them out. Hope he moves on soon. that scratcher is the purrfect height to fit with your m

Can you have some organization pick up the coyote and relocate it. Our mom would never be able to sleep knowing it was on the prowl. You look very comfy, Brian. Have a good week. I love how you have sort of repurposed your scratcher into a bit of kitty ‘fur-niture’!

If you have a farm store nearby you can get little bottles to hang up…you fill them up with…um…dog or human urine, and that is supposed to scare off those naughty coyotes. Not sure if that would also scare off the ferals. Before our yard was fenced we used them, here. For marauding rabbits!

Adventures of the LLB Gang

You are quite the multi tasker Brian…arm resting and being able to scratch the scratcher!

Coyotes are pretty bad here too…especially at night! Be careful out there feral kitties!

We’ve had cool weather too but much cooler than you guys!

We hope that coyote stays away from your ferals!

Great dual purpose paw rest and scratcher. Not a fan of the evil coyotes, we suspect it was one of them or a fisher cat that cause (2) of our former indoor/outdoor cats to disappear. For the last 14 years, ALL our cats have been indoor only.

I am so happy your weather cooled off but now I am worried about that coyote!!! Praying the ferals are safe!

I wonder if there’s anything that repels coyotes. Look at you, though. Who’s more comfy?

I will be honest, my human loathes coyotes with a passion! She always worries about our ferals here because between them and the raccoons we’ve seen recently (who are probably the ones tearing up my catnip garden!), there are quite a few cat unfriendly critters in our neighborhood.

Charlee: “Sneaky coyotes, coming around when everyone’s supposed to be asleep!”
Chaplin: “We had one come around this morning! At least, we think we did. Lulu sure was barking her head off like there was one out there, anyway.”
Charlee: “Yeah, Dada looked and couldn’t see it, but you can bet he didn’t let Lulu out, what with her carrying on.”
Lulu: “I failed to take my own advice about not barking at the coyote until I was outside …”
