Howdy, how y’all doing? I’m not even going to mention the temps today, y’all are living it too, or at least a lot of you are, so I’ll just say double dang. It is Tabby Tuesday and that’s a good enough reason to celebrate. It’s also Summer Solstice today. So this is the longest day of the year? Feels like it!
Then, besides being Summer Solstice, it’s also National Selfie Day, so my photo today will also double as my selfie for this special occasion.
Know what else? The 4th of July will be here before too long and that beens the awful Boomie Season will be here. Our Home Owners Association will be shooting off fireworks over our lake on the 4th so that means every yahoo within miles wll be shooting them off too. Triple dang!
Okay, that’s it for now, have a fun Tabby Tuesday and and I’ll see you soon! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

it is… we hope it means not that we have to wait longer for lunch ;O)
That is a lovely selfie, Simon. I hope your weather soon cools down. When they forecast a heatwave for us it means the temperature may reach 72 instead of 70 and it rarely lasts more then three days and then we go back into the 60s and rain.
Well, summer solstice aside, it’s HOT HERE, TOO. Love that you do the blog hops and love your kitty in the pic above and love that we bloggers can chat together.
Mama just went over her blogs (in the thousands) and realized that when she began blogging so many years ago she did not answer COMMENTS!!!!!! Jeez, Louise, what was mama thinking. No wonder she misplaces her glasses and more…still, not sure she would be able to answer hundeds of comments but it was nice to know she got them long ago, haha.
We don’t have the 4th of July here so no worries on that score, but we’ve had a lot of natural thunderboomies recently! Fortunately, we’re not too scared.
Great pic of you, Simon!
Purrs,
The Chans (Tama, Benny and Momo)
EEEEEK on the boomer day coming – and it will be here before you know it. Our neighborhood will be noisy – it always is – and I really am not happy about it!
Hugs, Teddy
Simon, I hate booms too, storms and nasty fireworks. We have them here and some of our lake neighbors think it is the thing to do, disturb everyone else, especially animal. Thanks for fixin’ Lynn up with the blogosphery thing. I talk to her and try to explain how it all works, but she tells me to stop caterwauling. Humans, lead them around by the thumbs is all you can do.. Precious
We are looking forward to the first day of winter because this summer heat is too much. Fireworks started around here already, and we are not excited about the long 4th of July weekend because we will be up every night scared to death with fools setting off boomers til all hours. We really need to go away for the weekend, but where?
Simon you look glorious today. We like summer, but we are feeling the heat too! And we don’t like the booms at all.
Twill be a purrfect selfie of purrfect you Mr Simon! Around here I am glad we now head into shorter days as mine Mommy often goes to bed so early it is still light & bright outside. Well, truth be told, I sleep all day in the light anywayz … meow.
As for the boom booms, I am a lucky kitty in that they don’t bother me at all, but I am very sorry for all the kitties and pupsters who are scared, and I wish more humans would care about them …
we are saying Triple Dang! also… the thunderbooms are in about 10 of our neighbors yards, that and NY eve are the really bad ones. When I saw your beautiful aqua eyes, I started to sing You’ve got Betty Davis eyes but your song is youve got betty auqa eyes. I did get a giggle when I read the badge about Nations Selfie day… it says post a selfie once a year. BRAHAHAHAHAHA, they don’t know blogvilles selfie policy… we post as many as we can as fast as we can. Just saw an ad about treats named thunder calm… Read more »
It’s SUMMER over here too. Luckily that we had some heavy rain yesterday, so today it actually feels pretty good. Stay hydrated and have fan on 🙂
We’ve been very lucky in New England – still in the high 70s here but should be to mid 80s next week – still not bad for summer. Let’s hope the fireworks aren’t to loud this years around the 4th.
Happy first day of summer and longest day of the year.
I dread the booms too
Hugs Cecilia
Thanks for the reminder. I forgot this was Summer Solstice day.
That’s a great selfie of you, Simon! I am not a fan of fireworks. Thank goodness I have my bathtub to hide in. Happy Summer Solstice!
We love your selfie, Simon. We’ll be spending this long day mostly inside since it’s supposed to get too hot to spend any time outside enjoying this super long day. Booming season is no fun for most of us anipals.
Yes the longest day of the year and I’m sure you’ll be fed on time. I know your peeps are focused on making your life purrfect.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Simon you are so handsome as always ~ great selfie ~ enjoy the longest day of the year ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Simon, you are one gorgeous boy! Happy Summer Solstice and we’ll be sending calming purrs your way on the 4th.
dood…but afturr two day …lite time growz shorter N that meenz mor
time ta sneek round at dark o clox 😺❤️ hope everee onez grate‼️
not fans of the booms!!
MOm and I both dread those stoopy men who go out there and torture everyone with that for DAYS!
Sounds like you’re gonna need ear plugs. I guess it’s better than living in silence like me but we don’t get much of that here. Cool here. Might not even reach 70 for the first day of summer.
Now the days will start to get shorter…that’s another dang, LOL!!
We feel you about the boomers and the terrible hots.
Oh the 4th…..Chey freak’s badly. I will not be here so I hope the cats do ok. I will leave a radio playing for them while I am away. You are so beautiful I said before, love those eyes.
Yes, it’s very hot here; glad The Hubby put a window a/c unit in for my office.
Sweetie and I are very comfy!
What handsome eyes you have Simon…that is the pawfect selfie!!
This will be our first Boomie season in New MExico…we sure hope it’s better than Northy North California was!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Sunny
We are not looking forward to the Booms. We have no idea how Reesie will react and we know Noelle is terrified.
It’s not even July yet and the boomers have already started around here at night. Will probably go on every night for the next month.
People have such stupid traditions! It’s supposed to start getting hotter later in the week…not looking forward to it.
I don’t like fireworks either. Not a big fan of summer- I prefer fall and winter. XO
Triple dang is right, i wish fireworks would go away, it scares people and pets too much.
Simon, we dread the 4th for exactly the same reasons. We think a lot of places in the state have outlawed private fireworks this year because of our drought and early wildfires, but you know stoopy people abound. We even have those extra-stoopy people who shoot guns in the air!
Uy que lindas fotos, adore la del perro y el gato. Te mando un beso.
Lulu: “Ugh, Independence Day ― not a fan!”
Charlee: “What about the movie?”
Lulu: “Oh the movie is all right. A little implausible though.”
Certainly a lot to celebrate today, but we want to celebrate you and those gorgeous eyes, Simon. We bet you are a real heartbreaker when it comets the ladies. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
It’s triple digit here today! Mama forgot it’s solstice, that’s prolly why.
Keep snoozing!
Simon, it’s always nice seeing you, pal! As for those stupid firework boomers … we definitely don’t like them much, either.
We adopted a cat. She is amazing. 🙂 Your cat is beautiful.
Super Selfie Simon!!! We had big thunderboomers last night and they were enough to send Misty into hiding. We sure aren’t looking forward to the celebrations to come either!!!
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You need a soundproof hideaway. ~nods~ Stay safe and cool, gorgeous.
