Howdy everyone, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today I’m thankful that this table at our place is not off limits to us kitties. You’ve seen Simon and Seal up here, and me too, and even though we’re not really up here frequently, we do get up here when the mood hits. Simon is probably up here more than the rest of us. That’s okay, whatever tickles his fancy.
You might think a dining room table would be a no-go zone for us but that’s not the case. This table is very rarely used by the Mom and Dad, they always eat at the kitchen table. If it is one of those unusual events where someone comes for dinner then the table gets a really good cleaning. Yes, it is a nice wooden table but the table top is formica so it cleans up easily.
Okay, that’s it for today, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Getting on a table is a happy thing for a cat, i know. It makes for a good place to keep an eye on everyone.
How great that you kitties get to be up on that table, Brian. Funny, but none of our cats have really even been fans of the dining room table. Truth be tiold, we would not mind if they did want to get up there. 🙂
It seems to us that a lot of kitties enjoy time on the table. We think we might need a banquet sized table for that to happen here:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Tables are where the best stuff happens, and often, the best places to be to watch the action, right Brian?
Uy son unos lindos gatos. Y la verdad da pena prohibirles algo. Te mando un beso.
It’s for sure a forbidden place for our cats, well, they did it anyway.
My Ollie loves to hang out on tables too & he & Mama Sita are often found hanging out on my antique roll top desk, so much so that I actually put a cat bed on it so they’d have a comfy spot to curl up together.
Excellent use of the table, Brian! I’m always glad to see kitties on tables if that’s where they want to be!
wow can we move to your house please? we would love to be on the table ;O))
Tables are nice spots for those who can get up to them! I’m not one of those unfortunately because I’m too big to jump on a chair to get up there. I really have always been a “floor guy” but I think it would be fun to be “up high” sometimes. You look like you’re looking for JUST THE RIGHT spot up there for a lie down Brian!
Hugs, Teddy
In our house I rule. If I want on a table top I go. But I do have to tell you I’m thankful for when I was younger, and would do things like that more often. As I get older I seen less attracted to Jumping Up. Rather I lay down. Precious
Sophie didn’t get up on the counters and things like Bert always does but she did like to lay on the dining room table which Mom didn’t like even though it is not used a lot. It’s nice it doesn’t bother your parents.
Table motioned? Bwahaha, we get it, Brian. That’s funny. Mom says her kitties were allowed everywhere but the stovetop. She put aluminum foil up there to scare them if they jumped up. Your table looks like a good place to go to pounce on someone else! XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
None of the cats here ever was allowed up on the dining table (the only table), or the counters, either. Not in the human’s presence. She used to hear them jumping down when she’d get up in the morning or had otherwise been out of the room, though. 😛
I am glad you can all hang out on that nice table. Thanks for hosting. have a great day. XO
I have always been under the impression that everything in the house both high and low belongs to the cats that live in the house. All you need is a red carpet for that table to make you look more like a star. I do have a friend in GA that has her cats trained to stay out of the kitchen, I have seen them come to the dividing line and stop. that was a shock to me.
We don’t understand why ANYTHING should be off limits for us! Nice that you can enjoy your table in peace.
I like it that you don’t have any no go zones at your house. I never had any either. Kitties should go wherever they want. A wonderful thankful.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Some of those who came before would go on the counter tops, but Eric and Flynn never attempted to. If they were indoors they preferred lying on their cat trees watching what was going on outside.
We think it would be fun to be able to walk on the dining room table but there isn’t much room for us on it. BOL!
The very best centerpiece for any day, any time of the year and any meal is a Feline.
Honestly we never tried to keep either of our Cats off tables or counters. My theory was cats are kinda like 5 year humans
tell them they can’t do something and they will do it or bust.
All this being said Milky-Way and Madi had very good table manners too.
Hugs Cecilia
We are like your Peeps Brian, it’s the kitties house – we just pay the mortgage!
There is no question here since you guys are the masters of the house.
what cha doin kitty? is it dinner time? you’re so cute! I hope Milo never gets up on the table though!
The catkids here like to nap on the table…mostly Teddy. He reason not to I always give a good clean before it’s used by humans.
No reason…duh
I like your tabletop mountain! Aren’t we lucky?
We used to use our dining room table…off limits or not, the sun puddles were too pawsome to ignore!
Nice table, Brian!!
Wow!! We sure wish we could jump as high as you kitties can…you look pretty suave up on that table, Brian!!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Sunny
It’s the same at our house, but we know that some humans disagree with cats on the dining table. Purrs
I am always thankful to each comment you post on my blog.
Sweet photo of you on the table ~ what a life ~ lol ~ Xo

Mommy said she figgers she ain’t dead yet…so….
No place should be off limits to kitties 🙂
Our table is a bit full. The cats have to work hard to get anywhere on the table!
We have table rules but we ignore them! Well, I should say Izzy does–I’m not a table fan.
~Ivan.
I like to be on the table too but my parents try to stop it. I guess cats have privileges dogs don’t
I get up on the table too.
I let my kitties lounge on the table too!! But don’t tell my partner. hehehehe
Beautiful table. We cats here have always been allowed on the tables. We only have one table in the condo but it’s a nice oak one that could be expanded for company whatever that is. I jumped up there today and got a real surprise that I shared on FB.
Layla woofs it is a beautiful table and she wishes she could jump on it also, you are so lucky you are allowed to. Thanks so much for the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop
I (Magellan) OWN my parent’s dining room table so I celebrate your victory with you!
I simply can’t understand why they get so upset on the one or two occasions when they dress it up with tablecloth and fancy dishes and mumble stuff about holidays and guests…
same here. The dining room table is a dumping zone, Lenny and I eat in the kitchen so Roary can be on the dining room table, Cody used to go on it too.
You are so adorable.
Happy Caturday guys, and we love the table shot today, it’s epic! We get on the table at BBHQ, and the kitchen island too, in fact we are thankful to have a free access pass to everywhere! MOL
Wishing mew an epic weekend!
Charlee: “Yep, the dining room table, the kitchen counters, the basket with the fruit in it … All of it is part of the elevated cat highway here!”
