Hello gang, I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. It sure has been interesting and challenging here, oh, did I mention it has been busy? It has been really busy and what say I tell you all about it? I’ll do just that in a minute, but first did you know today is International Cat Day? Well, it is, so please visit the host for this special day, Cathy Keisha from the blog Stunning Keisha, she’ll tell you about this special day.
Okay, back to the busy things. It all started this past Friday. We noticed that Kiki had a cough, so back to the Vet she went. This was her third Vet trip in a week. This time was for x-rays and, as we suspected, that poor little girl has asthma. She is starting Prednisolone so we’ll see how that goes for her. She is also on the deworming meds.
Then, yours truly had an issue with my mouth and it was causing some drooling. So, I got packed up and off to the Vet I went. Our wonderful Vet at The Cat Clinic of Greenville worked me in and generally nothing major was wrong in my mouth, it must have been some sort of passing thing but I got some antibiotics just in case. I’m feeling okay and still eating good.
Well, if that wasn’t enough, sweet little Kiki has gone into heat. Oh goodness, that poor girl, she’s going a bit nuts and so are the rest of us kitties trying to keep away from her. Her Spa Day isn’t until August 16th, goodness, that seems like a long ways away but because of some of her meds that is the earliest the Vet feels comfortable doing it.
Okay, have a fun Monday and a terrific week, I hope to see ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

It has been all go at your place! Thank goodness Kiki is safely indoors now she has come into heat!
we hope you are ok and the meds stopped what maybe was on da way… big hugs to your kiki we hope that time is not that hard for her and for you all
Oh Dear! Poor little Kiki! August 16th won’t come soon enough! Sorry about the asthma. We hope it’s just a passing thing. And we’re glad your mouth issues are not major, Brian. We hope this week is peaceful for ll of you.
Purrs,
The Chans
Never a dull moment there Brian! Glad you are OK – also sorry about Kiki having asthma AND going into heat at the same time. EEEK. I’m sure you all think her spa day couldn’t possibly come soon enough. LOL Hope this week is less hectic for all of you.
Hugs, Teddy
Kiki in the heat In The Heat Of Summer, if that isn’t a coincidence. And I bet she is a bit stirred up about the whole thing. Sorry both of you had to go to the doctor so quickly. Brian let’s hope your mouth issues really do not come back as anything serious. And keep that girl breathing easily. Then your mom and dad might breathe easily.
Then I’m not wasting time and going to celebrate with Mr. Elvis 🙂
Wow, your house is seriously in turmoil! Mom had a kitten once that went into heat and it was dreadful she says. We hope your house can settle down soon and everyone feels more like normal.
o my..poor kiki. Hope that she gets better soon. It’s wonderful to know that you are doing good, Brian.
Oh, gosh, Brian, that’s too busy, and not in a good way! Lots of purrs to Kiki and to you. We hope Kiki’s asthma is easily managed, perhaps more a seasonal thing than an ongoing issue. (Not sure that’s possible, but Nicki’s asthma was much worse during our cold, dry winters and he needed both the Flovent and Prednisolone to keep it under control for the coldest months. So maybe environmental factors do come into play.)
Anyway, we certainly hope things are quieter this week! Paws crossed and purrs that all goes well for Kiki on her spay day. ♥
Poor Kiki. At least she can be treated. Things will be better when she has her op too 😉
Good to hear there is not anything serious with you Brian! Purrs it passes when the meds are gone(if not before)
Happy International Cat Day!
Purrs, Julie
OH gosh I hope HOPE that it isn’t really asthma…that it’s a passing thing I HOPE! And Kiki, I know everyone can’t wait for your Spa day! Including you. XXX to you, little girl. Brian…get better all the way!
Oh goodness, poor Kiki! Asthma and in heat, poor little one!! I’m glad your mouth issue is not a major one!! Sending you all gentle woofs from Zen and hugs from me. 🤗🤗
It surely has been SuperBusy at your house, Brian! We send you and Kiki lots of positive vibes! Happy International Cat Day!
wow, this was so week you had, and I know all of you will be glad with the 16th comes. prayers for that to be a good visit and quick healing for KiKi. so sorry she is ill, and happy your mouth is ok. it is Murphy’s law that when one thing goes awry there is always more to happen. usually in 3’s. hope your good days start today
Had to rush Laila, our Shitzu to the vet too twice this week. Just a case of acidity and bloated stomach, but it’s made her very inactive. Hopefully she is on the mend.
Love and prayers for Kiki to feel better and love to Brian, Simon and Seal too. :))
Brian I think you are absolutely at the very best place in the house couch surfing and hopefully alone.
HER from Daisy Downunder and Mom to Roxy and Dui adopted Naoise about 4 months ago….She went into heat before her scheduled Spa day OMCs did she drive the Dogs and HER crazy
Hugs Cecilia
When Mom worked at a vet’s, she was surprised to learn that cats don’t come out of heat until they are bred…or think they are bred….which the vet would umm, make them think…umm, anyhow, the vet would take care of it without spaying at that time. She wanted all their inside parts to go back to normal to make the spay easier and less dangerous for them. We really don’t want Mom to tell us any more of those stories…shudder.

Poor Kiki. I know the peeps will do what needs doing. I’m glad she’s inside though. Where she belongs and the peeps will get her squared away.
Sorry about your drooling. I’m glad it wasn’t anything to worry about though.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and lots of healing hugs to Kiki. My best to your peeps. ♥
You all sure have been busy going back and forth to the vets. We hope you Kiki feel better soon.
Oh my goodness, that’s a lot of cat-issues to deal with at one time. Keep Calm and Carry On.
I am glad you and Kiki are OK but I am sure you are making sure Kiki is comfy you deserve the rest
Have a restfultastic day 👍
I feel so badly that it is asthma. I hope the medicine helps so you have comfortable days. And I hope everyone heals quickly!
That’s something that we at Eastside Cats have not yet encountered: a ladycat in heat.
Brian, we hope you are A-OK again, and Kiki must feel like being at the vet’s office is part of the normal routine.
Oh my gosh…..you poor babes. Hoping that the meds help little Kiki and so glad she has dad and mom to take her to the vet. She would not have that if she was still outdoors. Glad that you are well Brian also, take all your meds like a good boy! Those sinks are really cool feeling, isn’t it?
Oh my Brian, that is alot going on at one time, multiple vet visits! We hope everything goes smoothly with the various issues! Looks like you are having a nice moment of calm lounging in the sink! Happy International Cat Day to all, we love The poster CK made for it!
Hope Kiki is feeling better, and the being in heat thing doesn’t make everyone crazy. You look cool in the sink, Brian. It’s a cool place to be when it’s hot.
Love the sweet kitty in the sink ~ must be cool ~ Xo

xoxo,
Sunny, Rosy & Jakey
It sounds like you have a lot going on. I hope everything works out well.
That sure is a lot of busy. Aw, poor Kiki. Asthma is not fun and games. I guess I’m lucky that I don’t need to be on full-time meds for mine, just pred courses for attacks which *knock TW’s wood head for luck* aren’t often. Poor everyone as far as the heat. Glad you’re doing OK Brian.
Wow, you sure do have a lot going on. We hope you and Kiki are better soon.
Hope you all are feeling tip-top-cat shape in no time! And here’s to a quieter week!
Brian,
I can relate to being busy. That could be my name these days. *roll eyes* Kiki? Did I miss something? I mean, I don’t remember a Kiki. I probably did because in my busyness I haven’t kept up with my blog pals like I should. Is she a new furbling? I sure do appreciate your visits. Perhaps after vacation life will slow down a bit and then again maybe not. Who knows what will come our way. Hopefully nothing but good fun and opportunities! Have an pawwwsom week, furiend!
Kiki is a sweetie, but what a going concern she is. Hope the ‘heat’ passes by quickly and that she also gets control of her asthma. And hurry up spay day!
Hope your mouth doesn’t act up anymore either, Brian…and that Seal and Simon stay well, too!
Happy International Cat Day!
oh my you DO have a lot going on there! Brian I am so glad you are ok and I am hoping that the meds help sweet Kiki! Poor Mom and Dad! Too much excitement for sure!
Yikes! That is a lot of trips to the vet. Hope you all feel better soon. XO
Oh my goodness, that’s a lot all at once! Sending lots of purrs…
You all deserve a long vacation away from drama
That is busy, i am guessing that August 16 can’t get here fast enough for all of you.
Lindo gatito. Y yo creo que todos lo días son su día porque merecen mucho amor. Te mando un beso.
Your humans are the best. ~hugs~ Hang in there!
Hope you are all okay over there. Great photo 😀
Oh my goodness…it is no fun when one gets sick, much less two. And poor Kiki…going into heat on top of it all. Poor dear. Relief is coming soon.
