Hello everyone, I hope your weekend was a good one, ours was pretty good, we had some rain and some cooler temps, so that’s always a plus. Our new sister Kiki is continuing to heal up from her spay surgery but keeping here kittenish energy in check sure hasn’t been easy. I don’t think Kiki has a slow speed MOL.
Hey, today is Take Your Cat to the Vet Day, it really is, but that doesn’t mean that you have to do it today, but if you don’t, you should at least make an appointment for your cat or cats and get it on the books. I don’t really mind the Vet visits, I don’t like the car ride, but I sure do have lots of experience going to the Vet, seems like I go quite often.
Vet visits on a regular basis are might important, we need to be checked out so that we continue to be as healthy as we can be. Y’all know that us kitties are so good at hiding our pain or hiding when we don’t feel well. Regular Vet visits can help identify problems or potential problems before they rear their ugly heads.
Of course there are some signs you can look for, are we eating less or more than what is normal for us? Are we hiding more? Is our weight normal, have we lost weight? Are our shots up to date? Regular and routine blood work can help identify any issues we might be dealing with.
So, let’s get those Vet appointments made, you know you need to, so do it. Keep this in mind…preventative care is a lot cheaper than emergency care. Y’all know that is true. Besides, you love us and we’re worth it. We’ll be happier and so will you.
Okay, that’s my message for today, have a fun Monday and a terrific week, I hope to see ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

we hope all will get good news from their vets and there is nothing to worry…
Vet visits are not welcome, but very important.
Thanks for the reminder dear Brian. Mom is taking me to the vet this month as I am due for one of my annual shots. So important to keep me protected since I’m an outside/inside cat. Thanks for being the official HOST for this important reminder.
Hugs, Teddy
Brian how could you remind my mom has to make me an October appointment. I hate the car ride, I hate The Strangers poking and prodding on me, I hate they tell me that I’m too fat. I’d rather just skip it all and make Lynn get all the poking and prodding. But she’ll make me go and then I’ll come home and she’ll give me an extra treat when it’s all over. Precious
Good idea to make an appt if you have a visit you need to schedule. We are all set here at our house, cat and dogs.
I see my vet more often than I really want to at times.
While I am not a fan of going to the Vet it is important for checkups.
At least our Vet and staff are pretty nice 🙂
Purrs, Julie
All feline’s should keep their appoints regular and attend every one so there 🙂
Have a vettastic day 👍
Time for vaccines :-/ Not fun, but must go! The trip to the vet ain’t hard, but to get them to the carrier is challenging.
I hope your vet visit is uneventful and you get a A + on your exam. you do look like a super cat and ready to roll
You’re a good representative for this day! You’re a brave ManCat even if you do hate the car ride.
Lets celebrate this day from the comfort of home if we can if not may all who actually go to their vet today have a very good report
Hugs cecilia
You’re right, Brian. Our babies need to be checked often to make sue we’re as healthy as we can be. The older you get the more you go. I’ve never had a kitty that liked car rides.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Good reminder Brian! You sure look cute in your Batman bandana!
Brian, if you have a vet visit today, we are purring that the news is only good news!
Sweetie has a vet visit planned for this Friday.
I totally forgot that day is today! I am excellent about taking my cat to the Vet (except for when he needs a nail trim like he does now), it’s just too warm to make him go into the car for that (and nope, obviously I don’t do it myself!)
Hey Brian…….just hope there is no shots involved for you babes!! My girls said you need to have a girls cave day!!
Oh such an awe kitty ~ Vets are needed sometimes ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Just got a vet appointment set up!
Teddy, Jack, and Sophie are healthy and all see the vet yearly for check-ups and shots. Thankfully all are healthy!
Mommy will take me before long and…I need my claws cutted!
Chaplin: “Hmm normally I’m all in favor of holidays and such that revolve around cats, but …”
What a wonderful reminder, Brian! We Pups are all up to date on our visits!
xoxo,
Sunny
Taking your dog to the vet is important too, but we hope it doesn’t happen too often. BOL!
All of Falcor’s vet visits have been good so far. He’s a healthy 8 year old.
It’s raining all day with us, so a very sleepy day.. What we appreciate very much with Mr. Elvis 🙂
Glad she is doing well. Young ones don’t have a slow mode haha!
Mine are all doing good these days for old timers! 2 at 12 and 1 at 13.
awesome photo and reminder!
Emmy has an appointment with her specialist on Wednesday and Drake will be going soon.
Yes Brian, it’s great that you have become accustomed to going to the vet, even if the car ride is a little gnarly. I think you are smart enough to know that the vet is there to help you.
Dani is so anxious that she foams at the mouth. Definitely not a good look.
That’s a pawsome badge for such an important day!
I bet you the lines were wicked long today.
I go to the vet a lot too, Brian. Fortunately, I didn’t have to go today! ~Ernie
Siempre hay que cuidar de nuestra mascota y si aunque a veces es dificil llevarlos al veterinario. Te mando un beso.
Emergency room visit is costly for us human as well.
Coffee is on and stay safe
We have a great vet, and she’s right across the big highway so it’s only a 5 minute ride. That’s a good thing, since most of the cats here sing the song of their people the whole way. Our appointments will come up in the fall.
Hi Brian! This is a wonderful reminder. You sound like Tylan – he loves the vet, but he hates the car rides. Regular blood work is so important. We were just getting a baseline on Tylan last November since we think he’s 7 now. Boy did we get a nasty surprise when the tests revealed that he has hyperthyroidism and kidney disease – none of us expected that! I am thankful I do blood work regularly when they get to be seniors because he was showing no symptoms of illness. Things could have gotten worse if we hadn’t done his… Read more »
I’m hoping to avoid da vet for a while, MOL.
We are pups, but vet visits are important for us, too…we are going Tuesday….sigh…just the routine stuff, thankfully.
Excellent PSA. ~nods~ We love you and yours, for sure.
