Hello everyone, I hope you had a good weekend, ours was pretty good, but they’re all good in one way or another. Sometimes weekends can be pretty boring and sometimes they can be interesting. This one was just about in the middle, no big deal either way.
As you can tell from the photo today I’ve been playing with toys lately. It seems that having a youngster in the house has gotten me interested in toy time again. I’ve been knocking the balls in this thing around and around. It’s fun. I even went to the toy basket the other day and asked the Dad to find something special for me to play with. Yes, of course he did!
Hey, y’all know how us kitties like to bird watch, of course we do. I thought I’d show you a photo of our jungle…
One bird we’ve not ever seen here has been Goldfinches. You may not be able to tell, but there are three Goldfinches in this photo. Can you spot them. Anyways, it’s nice to see those bright yellow birdies and they seem to have taken a liking to our jungle.
Okay, that’s enough for now, have a fun Monday and a terrific week, I hope to see ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

It is a lot of fun playing, Brian. We get a lot of goldfinches here. They fly around in big groups and eat the seeds on the grass in the fields that are being rested. If they get disturbed they fly up together like a big cloud.
oh we would love that toy too… the mama saw only one finch… new glasses for her LOL
Brian,
When our kids were toddlers, I think we enjoyed their toys more than they did. I remember for our son’s first Christmas, he was 7-months old, we got him several age appropriate toys for curious minded little ones. After DH tried them out, he decided that DS would benefit from them at that moment, so we had to come up with a new presents for him. lol It’s fun having a kitten around again for all of you. Have a pawsom week, dear furiend!
Brian, your toy looks like a lot of fun. The one I used to have and Lynn gave to the orphanage, was just one flat round circle and I got tired of playing with it. I have Goldfinch on my patio that I can watch through the back door as they pick and pull all the petals off of Lynn’s flowers trying to get to the seeds. But I love it what do I care about flowers. Precious
That is great you are playing with some toys. We younger dogs keep Bailie playing with toys sometimes too. Have fun!
That’s awesome that you still enjoy playing, Brian. 🙂
We saw two goldfinches, they’re such pretty little birds. We do get them here, though the biped usually only sees them on walks away from all the concrete.
Nice to see Brian playing like a youngster; out Lucy was determined to turn over the big toy bag yesterday to get a toy she never plays with – funny to watch. Yellow finches are plentiful here and yes they love those thistle seeds too. Have a nice week gang.
I saw two, Brian. I love Finches. We have mucho plenty!
Brian!
I almost purchased a toy like yours this weekend, but decided to think about it.
Perhaps I’ll get it, as you seem to enjoy it.
I found your three goldfinches, and I saw a yellow bird yesterday too, but it may have been a prairie warbler.
I’m not an expert birder, despite my books and field glasses.
I did find the goldfinches but would not have unless you told us to look for them. we think they are busy with the coneflower seeds and going to drop them every where to make more flowers. its a beautiful yard and photo and I am so pleased you are playing more. that is one fine looking ball toy
Good to see you playing, Brian! I think I may have seen two of the goldfinches in the picture.
That’s a fun toy! p.s I just saw two goldfinches.
That looks like a fun toy. We did spot the goldfinches right away since we have them in our yard, too.
We had a great weekend too, Brian, but it sure was hot. It’s good to see you checking out toys.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
We have that pawsome toy too!!!! It sure is a lot of fun.
What a neat toy! Does it dispense treats too, Brian? Mom loves the goldfinches. She says they have the most endearing tweets and song.
I love your toy the colour is vibrant too by the sounds of it you really like it I wany a go hwheh!
I couldn’t spot the Goldfinches cos I am completely stupid heheh!
It’s been extremely hot here in London so the weekend was very boring and uncomfortable arrgh!
Have a toytastic Monday 👍
Charlee: “Oh yes! Birds!”
Chaplin: “We see them!”
Lulu: “Let’s hear more about the toy box—”
Chaplin: “BIRDS!!!”
I saw one on a plant (I think) and one in a tree, didn’t see the other! Brian, that is so great that you are playing with your toys again!!
Great photo of you playing Brian ~ sweet ! An awesome pic of the ‘hidden’ goldfinches’ ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love,

I used to tell people my backyard bird feeders were for Madi’s entertainment. She would watch them for hours.
I love gold finches too
Hugs Cecilia
Brian you look so happy playing with your new toy!
That toy looks like a lot of fun ! We saw the three goldfinches, but we had to biggify the picture ! Purrs
Well, I’m happy for you, Brian, if having a young one around has made you more playful as well! Dani has a toy like that and she played with it practically non-stop for the first couple of months, but barely touches it anymore. So don’t be like her. As far as the goldfinches, I think I saw two. I wasn’t sure if what appears to be a gold leaf on the tree in the background is another one. This picture and challenge reminds me of these optical illusions where you have to find different animals in the photo. I’m usually… Read more »
Found the goldfinches! have a great week!
We have a toy like that but it only has one level. Still It’s fun to play with.
Toys are fun!! I am just starting to play with my toys again, they do help the time pass when I’m in my room.
We love birdy watching too, what pretty goldfinches!!
xoxo,
Sunny
I saw two but there was another yellow-ish spot I thought could be one! They sure are pretty birds aren’t they!!
Hugs, Teddy
I am so happy that you are playing Brian. We gets lots of finches around here. 🙂
Mudpie loves playing with that toy too!
That is a great toy! I got my cats the same toy and my human daughter stole it! I had to tell her many times it was for the cats!
Nice jungle, but no cannot spot them!
We could only find two goldfinchies. Hey, you look like you’re yelling at that toy, Brian!
That looks like fun
Mis niñas tambien son muy juguetonas y su jardin es muy lindo. Te mando un beso.
Idaho kitties also like watching birds
Coffee is on and stay safe
How fun that having Kiki around is making you act like a kitten, Brian!
I spotted 2 of the goldfinches…possibly a 3rd. Looks like you were having quite a lot of fun with that toy!
Playing and birdwatching are two fabulous ways to spend time!
You go, Brian! I’ve only gone after the red dot once since I went to the vet in June. Guess I don’t play anymore. Saw those yellow birdies. Those coneflowers look like Echinacea. TW had those in her garden when they had the big house.
O, yes, I spot them both, Brian, I have an good eye for it😸 Our Goldfinches look very different from yours though…but it’s good bird tv anyway😺 Enjoy your play! Pawkisses from Heaven to all of you🐾😽✨
We saw two…we have lots of them around our feeders, too. Love hearing them sing, too.
Pipo used to chatter at any birds he saw outside,
You’ve reminded me that I have been meaning to get a brain stimulating toy like that for Nelly. That one looks really good.
I has dat same ball thingy. Mama lays down on da floor wif me and we bat it back and forth.
xoxo,
Matilda
Goldfinches are fun to watch. Today I got to see hummingbirds chase them from perching near the sugar water feeders.
lol
Purple coneflower seeds are already providing a great finch food source. 😀 Be aware that their dull winter plumage can make even bird seed store owners puzzled. Regional coloration can vary a lot.
Be well!
