Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today I’m thankful for Silvervine, well, I am thankful for Silvervine, but I’m really thankful for my Silvervine Sardine. It has to be one of the best toys ever and whenever it makes an appearance I totally go bonkers. I should really say I go Bonkers with a capital B! It’s true, I do.
I don’t get to have my Silvervine Sardine very often and it might be a while before I see it again. This time it got licked and washed so much that it’s guts fell out on the living room carpet. Oopsie! The Mom was forever getting it vacuumed out of the carpet and we all spent time just rolling on that special spot. I think this qualifies as one of those “it was fun while it lasted” things.
Okay, that’s my thankful for today, what are you thankful for? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Mis nenas tambien tienen sus juguetes preferidos y siempre es un alivio verlas jugar. Te mando un beso.
That must be some fine silvervine, Brian, for you to tear open that sardine!
Silvervine sounds amazing, i keep saying i’ll look into getting some for my kitties, and i really should do that soon. They do enjoy catnip.
Darn. Sorry to hear those sardine innards made such a mess, Brian!
Gee they don’t look like the sardine I eat
Coffee is on and stay safe
That’s a fine sardine! I love it too.
That must have fun, Brian; well fun for the kitties, that is. Silver one is something we need to look into here.
Silvervine … Dang auto correct …
we think silverine has some magic powers… has it?
I’ve always “enjoyed” silvervine more than catnip…..now I have never actually torn up a toy to get at it like you did Brian but maybe I should think about rolling around in it instead of just sniffing it????
It is an adorable toy. You are lucky to have it, even if it is only once and a while.
We’ve had silvervine exactly once in this house, and I determined that both Bear and Ellie are mean drunks. And a kitten on silvervine? Eesh.
Brian, it sounds like the rest of the kitty family is thankful you broke open
the sardine! Lynn and I are thankful for the second morning in a row it is
only 55 degrees and the house is nice and cool with windows open so I
can hear birds and watch chippie thru the screen. Precious
Us pups wish we had something like silvervine that we could enjoy. We’re just a bit jealous.
That looks like a pawsome toy! Where did you get it?
Gee Brian, I hope your folks can find you another one!
A toy with goodness inside is something to treasure and really enjoy 😉
That is one cool sardine Brian and glad you had fun with it.
That is a nice fishy. My cats love silvervine too, but it is so expensive. I call it the cocaine of the cat world. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
you found a way to have catnip carpet. Right? MOL and so sorry you or someone sibling we know deaded the sardine. just be glad it was not a real sardine, just think about that smell. I wonder if you would all like that smell as much as the catnip
The YEOW Sardine was a favorite here too
That’s a wonderful thankful. Your peeps rock and take such wonderful care of you.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Sounds more like crack cocaine (but we wouldn’t really know). XOX Lucy, Xena, Chia and Riley
LOL! We were thinking the same thing, that must be very potent silvervine! It’s nothing something biped sees here in the pet stores. Maybe she’ll look online!
Charlee: “That Silvervine is one pointy fish!”
Chaplin: “It must be pretty fast when it swims through the water!”
Charlee: “Yeah, good thing you have it there on land where it can’t get away from you …”
Sounds like you enjoyed yourself completely with that sardine, good for you Brian! My sympathies to your Mom though – MOL!
loved to death! I know about that kind of toy
Silverine for kitties, sounds like squeaky bear in our house…They are definitely fun while they last!
Oh my have fun with your repaired sardine! Happy Thankful Thursday!
Oops! My picture isn’t there. But here and thankful ❤️
Isn’t it great to have a most favorite toy!
Oh, fore sure you would have had a blast with the contents of Mr Sardine! MInko did thatt with a Yeow toy once…LOL!
We have never had silvervine. We will ask (tell) Mama to get some!
Cool toy Brian – Magellan wants one!
Sounds like a lot of fun was had with that special sardine.

That certainly sounds like good times with Silvervine, Brian! We hope the sardine makes another appearance soon!
Awww what a cutie! Must be a great toy. I know my boy Jethro gets a bit over excited with his toys too!
Guts falling out is never a good thing! MOL
That looks like a cigar
Nice to see you still enjoying toys. I wonder if I’d like that. I haven’t reacted to nip or vine or anything is months.
Bet everyone in the house is thankful that your sardine don’t smell like a real one…
Silverline looks like so much fun even if you do not get it all the time, that actually makes it more fun as you do not know when it will come out to play. Thanks for your blog hop as always
Silverine sounds exciting and messy all at the same time. Glad you enjoyed it and that’s what matters. So good to be here. Been a while.
Nice sardine dude, and mew can’t beat a bit of silvervine either! Happy Friyay guys and we hope your weekend is epic!
I got tickled! I can imagine all of you rolling there I would too! I love silvervine.
You made me giggle. I’m glad those weren’t real fish guts.
Brian, I have never heard of silver mine at all; I couldn’t even figure out what you were talking about!. But now I have read about it, and it’s safe, so I think I’ll get some for the kitties. Thank you!
