Howdy gang, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today, on behalf of all of us at Brian’s Home, I want to introduce you to our newest sister, her name is Kiki. She’s very small, about 10 months old and is just as sweet as she can be. We’re all thankful to have her as a part of our family.
FUN FACT: Kiki was on our header all day yesterday and nobody noticed her up there.
Kiki showed up on one of our feral cams on May 4th and she looked pretty scared. She started showing up in our yard but the ferals scared her a good bit. She kept coming back trying to get something to eat. Finally, she made her way to the feeding stations and became a regular at meal time. She quickly learned the feeding schedule and came back for food just like clockwork. We tried to see if someone was missing her but they weren’t, nobody was looking for her.
Then she started rubbing on Dad’s legs before she had something to eat. Our Dad was able to pick her up and pet her lots, she loves being petted. We’re pretty sure she was left behind when humans down the street moved away. It was obvious from the start that she loves the human touch.
On Tuesday, July 26th, the Dad picked her up and put her in a carrier. They made the jaunt to the Vet to get her checked out. Kiki tested negative for the bad stuff and her spay day is scheduled for August 16th. Once we got home we discovered she had a cough so she went back to the Vet on Monday to get it checked out, all is good.. She was super good riding in the car both times.
So, there you have it, an unexpected new sister that fit right in after day two and we’re thankful we get to introduce her to you. So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

This is wonderful news! Dolly is cheering from the rainbow bridge, I’m sure. Your humans do good works. And yes, I am guilty of not really noticing banners of favorite blogs. I’m too anxious to read! lol Blessings, my dears.
Hooray for a new sister! You’re right, i didn’t see her in the header until you pointed her out, but i only just read your Wednesday post about ten minutes ago on the old computer. It’s so old it doesn’t even show the whole picture at the top!
Congratulations to Kiki, i’m so glad your family took her in.
WAIT?!?!?
WHAT!?!?
She got left BEHIND?!?!?!? WTF is it with stupid, horrible, nasty people. * bangs head against wall * I mean seriously.
But, maybe KiKi lucked out and found a much MUCH MUCH BETTER and safer haven.

Nice to meet you beautiful Kiki! I am so happy for you.You have found the best home ever.
Thanks for hosting. Have a wonderful day. XO
Welcome to your new home, Kiki… you are so cute and beautiful. Love your eyes. It is proof that you fit right in with your siblings that none of us noticed you in the header. I am a tad embarrassed about that. I teared up a little reading your happy story of Dad picking you up and then bringing you into their home. I love a Cinderella story and yours is one. You are blessed to be there, and they are blessed you found them. It breaks my heart that humans can just move off and leave their pets.
Oh that is such wonderful news! Welcome home, Kiki! You are a real cutie. You chose yourself the best family ever. We are looking forward to following your adventures!
Purrs,
The Chans
Welcome Kiki! Oh boy are you in the BEST possible home EVER! There are lots of great nap spots in that house too so you should have no problem finding good places to keep an eye on things. Your photo looks great in the “header line-up” – you’re a pretty little girl who is going to have a GREAT life now that you’re safe in a home. Thanks to Brian for hosting the Hop today too! We are SO thankful for many things including meeting the new family member!!
Hugs, Teddy

She is adorable and I am hoping that she is wrapping the rest of the felines around he pretty paw! I love it….If I had the body, the land and the money I would make a BIG place for strays and ferals. I prefer strays since most of them are like Kiki, don’t mind holding and rubbing. Feral cats don’t want my hugs! However, if… Read more »

Welcome to the family Kiki – what a wonderful ending to what could have been a tragic story – you are a smart gal for finding the purr-fect family to love you!
Congratulations on the new family mempurr! I guess we’re all used to seeing large numbers of cats on your header so it doesn’t immediately stand out.
I am thrilled for you all! Yes, from Kiki’s behaviour, she must be used to human interaction. And she’s good in the car, too.
Bonus. Kiki’s a lovely little girl, and I hope all the other kitties learn to love her, too. So darn sweet. Hurray!
