Tabby Tuesday: It Was a Saturday Night PlayFest

Hello everyone, I’m up in the Cat Tree taking it easy three days after the party. Hey, a guy has to get his rest ya know. Actually, I didn’t rest too much yesterday so today is my bonus rest day. I was sleeping on top of the fireplace for a while but it’s much softer up here.

Oh, I forgot, I didn’t really tell you why I’m tired. You see, Kiki and I had a PlayFest Saturday night. We really did. We’re all usually pretty good about settling down at bedtime and even Kiki caught on to the routine pretty quickly. But this past Saturday was, well…it was Live from Brian’s Home, It’s Saturday Night! Let me tell you, we ripped and we ran, up the stairs, down the stairs, we were dashing through the snow. Well, there wasn’t really any snow but we were dashing as fast as we could.

The Mom was already in bed so she didn’t hear much, but Dad was in the living room watching the TV and he wasn’t overly pleased with the Thundering Herd of Elephant noises. Brian and Seal were looking at us like What the Fluff?!?! Hey, at least we didn’t party all night long, we did finally settle down shortly after midnight. It was fun though.

Okay, I’m going to finish up with my rest so y’all have a fun Tabby Tuesday everyone! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

WOW…….two cats can absolutely sound like a thundering herd – my Mom says even though I’m just one cat I’m big enough to SOUND like two and when I run up the stairs she thinks some elephants snuck into our house!!!! Happy Tuesday.

Simon, it simply sounds like you and Kiki are getting plenty of exercise. Even though it might not be at the right time of day. However Precious only likes playing now that the mornings are dark and the evenings get dark early. She never plays in daylight anymore.

Awww, Nelson and Olivia get their wild pants going before bed too, but they have to go outside for that. Glad you had such a good time.

Momma Kat and Her Bear Cat

I have a herd of elephants here too! Unfortunately, all parties here end with at least one disgruntled cat. We’re glad yours ended on good terms.

It is amazing just how much noise paws can make on carpet and floors. I wish I could have seen/heard your playfest, better than TV it would be. I am such a light sleeper that when Beau gets up and walks down the hall, I hear the thunder of walking paws and the clicking of paws on tile, it wakes me up, it is ok if he just changes once, but a pacing dog can drive a person crazy.

I wish I was there! My Nell is too “dignified” for that stuff anymore and I sure miss it. Maybe she needs a cat-friend . . .

Simon does indeed look all worn out. What I think is truly neat is that Kiki seems to have bonded with each of her new furblings in a unique way. She’s up for anything it seems. It sure is a lot more lively at your place since she arrived.

I suggest you continue like the Thundering Herd of Elephants – ’cause I know your Dad will still love you, and besides, it’s fun!

Dorothy "FiveSibesMom"

Sounds like fun!!! A cat-tastic Saturday night! Hope you all got some rest (include the Dad!)…because Saturday is just a few days away again! PS – that pic of you in your tree is just beautiful!

I love your disclaimer! Furry butt! Haha! I have a pretty tabby, too. Her name is Lacy. She often sounds like a herd of thundering elephants all on her own!
