Hello gang, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. Today I’m thankful for that we’ve not had any of the flooding rains that have been going on around our area. We’ve been really lucky where we live. There will be really heavy rain and thunder boomers just to the North of us and really heavy rain and thunder boomers to the South of us and our neighborhood just gets a little soft shower. We’ll take it, we don’t like those boomer things.
We could hear those boomers and some of them really rattled the windows. Simon was ready to run and hide under the recliner but the Dad talked him out of it. We could all tell that little Kiki was happy to not be out in the rain. We did need the rain though, our yard was sure getting dried out. It was getting to be a dust storm when the mower humans do their thing.

We are thankful when we don’t get floods, too. Today there was thunder and there was rain, but it was over soon and no real threat. We’ll take it.
Almost forgot to add, you have amnesty from having to comment on my blog when your time runs short or you cannot get to every blog. Friends try hard not to make demands and to understand when stuff happens.
We were thinking that commenting shouldn’t be an obligation! It can be a full time job if one lets it, and that rather takes the fun out of blogging. Everyone understands that there’s more to life than this. ♥

I’m glad you didn’t get flooded! We just had a similar situation, some rain we really needed, but the stronger storms weren’t directly on us. Could use a little more gentle rain here.
We bet Kiki is really thankful that she’s not in the rain!! Glad there haven’t been many booms there. My boys don’t mind them, but Lita was terrified of booms.
I am thankful it is supposed to cool down on Friday – this near-100-degrees weather is for the birds!

we are grateful for no flood too… it was close but our crib is dry… we cross our paws for all who got too much water….
We are glad you didn’t get all that flooding, that would be horrible. There sure is a lot of weather issues aound the USA these days.
I am glad you didn’t get the floods. As soon as we were declared a drought area with a hosepipe ban it rained ever since! We have more thunderstorms forecast this afternoon. I am glad we live on high ground!
We were most thankful for our rain but the leaking roof – not so much. Landlord Bob is on it. We are happy to hear that you dodged the floods!
Brian, glad you got rain without terrible terrible storms. We had four days of rain up here in a couple days of those it was thunder and lightning and I spent most of my days and nights under the bed. So I’m thankful the rain has quit and we had Sunshine yesterday and maybe again today. Precious
We are very thankful for the sunshine we have been getting. It’s nice to see the sun and Dad was even able to cut the grass. For awhile there we were afraid it was going to get higher than the house.
Out west where we were it is really scary because it is so dry and there are a lot of fires burning. We hope they get some rain soon. Here it is kind of dry, but not too serious and rain is coming tomorrow. Hope the boomers stay away from you all.
no flooding is a great thing to be thankful for, we can do that too. we get the rain and the boom/flashes but no flooding. further east in our county they get flooding. we are thankful all of you are safe
So good the all of you were safe indoors when the storm came with rain and thunder!

Michigan is a bit parched, but nowhere near what is happening out west.
Perhaps Autumn will be at least average.
Sweetie doesn’t mind the boomers because she cannot hear them, and Da Boyz just nap on.

We’re glad you’re in a bit of a “bubble” too, and were safe from any flooding. The ground would be too dry and hard to absorb the deluge of water.
We didn’t get a lot of rain or boomers, but it rained hard enough to flood the one side of our porch. I’m thankful my brother is here and helping us work to resolve that issue!
I’m glad you’re not in the flooding area, but the boomers are not fun. Our Angel Little Bit hated them too. Great news.

Sometimes even without computer issues its good to take a day off. Chill, enjoy the family. Glad things seem to be working better and you are back. Chey is not happy when it rains, but does worse when the storms move in. I woke one day last week with Chey laying on the back part of my head…..not near, ON IT. The feline furs don’t get nervous over storms but there was this one time a few weeks back that when the thunder hit, it shook the walls of the house. We had some rain last night and this morning but no flooding. Hopefully, the rain predicted for the rest of the week will be light. Good to hear the boomers at your house weren’t too bad.

We have been very luck with not getting any flooding but that may be because we never leave the house.

We get plenty of those boomers…rattling the whole house & sometimes…just sometimes, they come out of nowhere & scare the begeebies out of us.
It’s been dry here all week but our non-fur brother didn’t make it over to cut the grass, and it’s supposed to rain and storm all weekend. Maybe we’ll all try out that double strength CBD oil Mom got. And maybe some valerian, too. Happy weekend! XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
Don’t jinx it, Brian. That’s what TW would say. We’re atop of the Palisades so the world would be ended if we flooded, altho parts of my town flooded during Ira.
