Mancat Monday: It’s That Time of Year

mancat monday brian 10172022

Howdy gang, I hope everything is okay in your neck of the woods. The temperatures are sure getting cooler here and, as you can tell, I’m enjoying being nice and warm in my cozy bed. I guess I should say beds so as not to neglect the other one right beside me. Of course I do love my beds no matter the weather or temperatures.

Speaking of temperatures, it’s gonna get close to the freezing mark here later this week. One of the things that the Dad did this past weekend was to clean out the feral houses really good so they’ll be ready for winter. So, now that the feral houses are all cleaned out all the Dad has to do is add a bunch of straw once the time is right. Our ferals sure used the houses last winter so we hope they will take advantage of them this year too.

Speaking of ferals, don’t forget this coming Sunday is National Feral Cat Day, hopefully you will be able to purrticipate along with Simon and Seal. Okay, that’s it for now, have a fun Monday and a terrific week, I’ll be seeing you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

that is super nice to prepare the place for the feral friends….

Memories of Eric and Flynn

It is good of your dad to make sure the feral cats have nice clean and warm beds.It was cold when we came home from our cruise just over a week ago, but it has turned unseasonably warm again.

That’s really wonderful that Dad has thought about everything for the feral cats.

We have always loved that you have made room for ferals to have shelter and food at your house. I also think you have the BEST nap spot in the house Brian right in front of the fireplace!

I can’t decide if you fit that bed perfectly or if the bed fits you perfectly whichever way it is it’s the perfect bed for you. Glad you’ve got the straw ready to roll for the farrells and we are supposed to go down in the low 50s on Wednesday and Thursday which is unheard of in Florida. Hubby is not happy but it makes me happy

Those outdoor kitties around your house may not get to come inside and live with you Brian, but you folks take good care of them. And they know where to come for lots of food and comfort in a place to sleep. Thank you for doing all that

It’s been cold here, some snow, and lots of frosty morning. Cat bro Bert isn’t going outside much anymore. Your ferals are lucky they get such a great shelter for the winter months.

Am considering putting out our feral shelter, even though we don’t have regular customers right now.
If some cat finds refuge, then we are happy.

Brian, you are looking handsome, and cozy today! We are getting some really cold weather this week too; it’s way too early for us!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no I posted my Nat’l feral post a week too early. Dang it.
We have frost potential here too but I really don’t think it will happen in the city quite this early. We have too much concrete. Your feral cats are lucky to be love and cared for by your Dad

We often set up a little safety/warm box for the visiting feral cats. This year, it will be Buddy’s time to have a warm safe spot to get away from the cold…though here, in SW Lousiana, that won’t be for some time to come.

Cat and DOG Chat With Caren

you are so wonderful with the ferals! I did see on the news it was gonna get cold down your way, we are cold right now, but that’s normal for us!

I love this time of year when there is a chill. My cats never snooze by the electric fireplace though.

The Poupounette Gang

It has been unusually mild over here and #1 hasn’t even turned our heating on yet. The forecast looks like remaining mild through this week and into next. We’re happy to be saving by not turning on the hating!

Wonderful that your human takes care of the ferals. I am sure the houses will fill up as the weather gets cold.

Adventures of the LLB Gang

It sure is getting cooler out here too Brian…and Mama is washing our fluffy beds now, so we can use them when we’re chillaxin’ in the evening!

Been raining a lot here and getting cooler but not sure when we will hit minus, possibly end of the month or early Nov.

Since we live in Florida, this time of year when it stops being too hot is a welcome change. By the end of October or early November, the weather is just about perfect.

It’s not easy, getting ready for winter, indoors and out. It’s going to take a lot of work to keep those beds warm, but i’m sure you and the rest of the kitties are up for the challenge.

Brian you always look so cozy. Your home has so many beds you could sleep in a different one every night! Yes, it’s getting colder here, too. I sure hope the outdoor kitties will be warm. Your Dad is an angel on Earth. He’s gonna makes mangers out of those feral feline houses for them.

Meezer's Mews & Terrieristical Woofs

We have a cat rescue here in town, that has posted a picture of how to make those little shelters for the outside kitties. It would be great if they could have heated ones…I think I have seen those on Amazon.
Thanks to your Dad for being so thoughtful and caring for those less fortunate than you, Brian.

We love that your humans take care of the feral kitties. It is already getting cold here as well…earlier than usual. There was no October Indian Summer, which suits our mom just fine. It’s gone into the low 40s a few days this week but Pop still hasn’t turned the heat on. TW didn’t mind cos those were the nights she had an 101.4 fever from the booster which is why we didn’t visit all week.
