Hello everyone, I hope you had a good weekend, fifty percent of us kitties here did. But, that’s the way some weekends go, some have fun, some not so much MOL! Too bad we just never know which way it’s gonna happen, otherwise we could be more prepared. Of course I’m usually prepared but I have more experience that the other kitties here.
So what am I talking about? Well, on Saturday we had visitors to our house, yes, we really did. The fifty percent of us kitties who had a good time would be me Brian and Kiki. One of our good friend neighbors came over along with her son and his son. So we had three generations of the same family visiting us. The grandson is about 12 years old, very intelligent and very polite. I was laying in my Ham-mick and he petted on me lots. I liked it lots too. Then they got to meet Kiki who came out to greet them. Kiki really liked the grandson and rubbed on him lots and purred and purred and purred. That was really the first time Kiki had some visitors and we were all proud of how well she interacted with them.
Then there is the fifty percent who didn’t have a good time. Simon and Seal both skedaddled into hiding. Seal crawled up under the covers on the big bed and Simon ducked under the recliner in the big bedroom. Nope, they really weren’t social at all, they left that up to me and Kiki. About and hour after our visitors departed Seal came out and about. It was a long time before Simon came out. When he did he took one sniff in the living room and ran back under the recliner. Silly boy, I tried to tell him the visitors were nice but he didn’t care.
Okay, that was our fun weekend, y’all have a fun Monday and a terrific week, I’ll see you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

maybe all visitors should bring 50% more treats so the 50% of you will like the visit too?
We are glad that at least some of you enjoyed your visitors. We are all pretty social at this end, but Tama most of all. She just loves being fussed over!
Purrs,
The Chans
Mr. Elvis doesn’t like visitors very much either.
How nice you enjoyed your visitors! Sometimes I like visitors and sometimes “not so much”. When we’re outside and our neighbors come over they always give me pets and I always hug their legs but when they come into my house they hardly notice me! Oh well. At least they like cats!
Hugs, Teddy
Next time they like their visitors maybe… I saw cat documetary on Netflix this weekend. That was facinating.
Brian, it’s good that you and Kiki were so friendly to your nice neighbors. Simon and Seal were just being their bashful self. They probably remember the days of being outside and they might be afraid someone’s going to take them back out.
How nice to have some visitors. Our late sister Sophie always went into hiding when people came over. It took her a few hours to come out. Cat bro Bert loves visitors just like us dogs. It’s nice two of you had fun.
I love visitors too – especially the ones that pet and love onto you!
Stubborn Simon, huh? Just like our Silva, always hiding..she got scared and ran away to hide under the sofa even when I just put on my new jacket, which she has never seen before…so silly!
I must admit, I am not fond of strangers either.
I will often hide as I am used to quiet.
I am getting better though 🙂
Purrs, Julie
from the few cats I have known personally I think 50 percent loving visitors is pretty good. Almost all the cats by friends and family have, always run and hide when visitors comes. Dan had Jesse James and you can tell by his names HE LOVED PEOPLE, my other sons cat despised people and would hide the whole time we visited. all the years I never got to pet quee marie.. she only allowed son and DIL to pet her. now Moses was like Kiki, he bounced high, bounced low and met everyone at the door and loved to JUMP… Read more »
You just never know what visitors are going to do, or if they might actually be intruders, right? That’s why we bark loud while wagging out tails and asking to be pet!
Unnerstand fur sure. I make up 100% of the kitties at my home and so 100% of the kitties here go into hiding when visitors come. Just the way it is.
Nice that you and Kiki enjoyed the visitors, Brian. Too bad Simon and Seal didn’t enjoy them, but some kitties are just shy like that.
How nice that you had visitors that some of you enjoyed. We love having visitors come to our house, too.
Some kitties love company and scritches and some don’t care for it one bit. I’m glad things are back to normal for all.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
At least two of you enjoyed the company! 😀
Derry would have gone into hiding straightaway. LOL.
Brian obviously Kiki follows you lead in events around the house. She was such a wee girl when she came inside. Double S’s just had each other so they still stick together.
I’m sorry Double S’s missed the head rubs though
Hugs cecilia
Charlee: “I’m with Simon! Visitors mean it’s time to hide under the sofa!”
Chaplin: “I prefer to stare at them from the cat tree. That way I can make sure they don’t do anything shady.”
I am glad at least 50% liked the vistors so from what I read is the other 50% had the right hump haha!
Have a mancattastic Monday 👍
Wow I am SHOCKED that Simon hid!! Roary greets EVERYONE!! Angel Cody used to as well. Angel Bobo was more like Simon and Seal, Bobo just wanted NO ONE to EVER visit!!
awww sorry the two didn’t want to socialize- maybe next time!
Angel Binky didn’t like visitors at all and Stippie is very hesitant, but I like effurryone, same as with food…MOL…Glad you came out of your hidingzone anyway, Seal and Simon😸Double Pawkissies to all of you🐾😽💞
Well, you and Kiki got all of the pets, Brian!
We all decide how ‘social’ we will be ~ am sure it was fun for all ~ xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

A 12 year old boy who is polite and good with cats is a joy to consider. Mostly, they like rough play and doggies! Good for you and Kiki for being friendly too. WE mostly just hide if there are strangers at the house.
Some social kitties and some not so social.
Sounds like a 50/50 fun time! We all like people visitors…maybe better than our pawrents do BOL! Then again, they like doggy visitors better than we do!
xoxo,
Sunny
That happens here too, but it is more like 75 % hide. XO
Visitors are lots of fun when they’re cat people!
Simon and Seal seem to have decided they know enough people for their liking and that is that!
Good for you being social. Some of us have a hard time with new people, but I bet your kitties will get there.
I am jealous, Brian. I wish I could visit you <3
Us pups bark our heads off, at all viaitors…till we fugure they’re OK…then we beg for pets and treats! 2 of our 6 kitties were socialable and came to see all and every vsitor. Toki even had to sniff thheir heads and hairs, and he would get into the workers tool boxes if they were around, LOL!
You just never know how well things will go when you have small hoomans visiting. The 12-year old certainly is old enough to behave himself and it sounds like he did, too. I get wigged out a bit when little people are wild and unruly. It’s especially troublesome when the parents of the little people don’t reel them in under their control. I’m glad your visitors were purrfect guests in your home. Maybe if they come again, Simon & Seal will be more receptive to coming out. 🙂
OH! Simon…Seal, somehow I MISSED this one. O My gosh, that was elebenty 2, too many visitors.
Great to have company sometimes but some cats aren’t keen on that! Glad 50% was happy.
Glad you had a good time…now you look so comfy there, perhaps catching a few Zzzs from your weekend fun!
Some cats are just shy like some people.
Strangers aren’t popular here, either. Be well, my dears!
