Hey everyone, I know you remember this, but I like to look out front from up here on the stairs, it’s a totally different view that anywhere else. Sometimes Seal looks out from here but this is mostly my lookout spot. So what am I on the lookout for today? Well, small parts what was left of Hurricane Ian went through here yesterday so today I’m making sure that the coast is clear.
I’m looking out, way down the street and way over to the lake, and I don’t see much going on. I’ll keep looking though, I might see something important.
What are you laughing at Seal? There she goes, she is giggling at me and she’s not telling me why. All I’m doing is making sure the coast is clear.
Really Seal? She said she is giggling because I can’t see the coast, it’s seven hours away from here! I’m going to keep watching anyways.
I hope you all have a good weekend, I’ll see you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
It’s always a good idea to keep watch Simon…..I do that too from the windows at the front door. Someone needs to know when introoooders are approaching right?
Doesn’t Seal know you have purrfect vision? Of course we know you could see that far all the way to the ocean. So glad you’re safe up here in Ohio we’re now getting high winds and ugly gray sky but that’s probably all that will come up from the hurricane.
It’s always best to be prepared and to be on guard, Simon. We’re relieved you weren’t impacted by Ian. (We’ve been thinking about Marg too, hoping she’s okay, as we don’t know if she would be impacted.)
Simon, don’t worry…sisters always laugh at their brothers!
You do look adorable as you sit between the spindles.
That’s a perfect spot to watch the world 🙂
Such cute poses (and photos!) … and none shall ever be named IAN again, ever, ever …
You need a hat to signify the impawtence of the job of keeping watch to see if the coast is clear!
It’s good that you are on the lookout Seal.
You never know who will show up on the doorstep 🙂
What a delightful pose, almost an impossible image like fitting the camel through the eye of a needle . . . . except you’re a cat and those are banisters, MOL. Don’t let your sister tease you. It’s an important job, plus you’ll get to see the treat deliver before her! 😉
Simon I say you are one fantastic neighborhood watcher. And your steps and are gorgeous and shiny
Happy to say Ian has left the state…We have 4.7″ of rain in our guage……however, my friend in Palm Coast Florida wins the prize at 17″. Amazing we kept power the entire time…sometimes on a sunny day power will go out for hours just crazy.
Goodness Simon….please don’t get stuck between those stair slats! I’m very relieved you didn’t get any more impact from the hurricane. Keep close watch….there may be more coming! X
GLAD YOU WERE SPARED BY IAN.
No reason why you can’t keep looking even if the coast is that far away, you can be prepared that way. Simon, you are the most handsome fur feline I know. Are you a long hair tabby or do you have Main Coon in you?
It’s always good to keep up a watch, Simon! We’re glad there’s not much going on in your area.
That is a great look-out spot, Simon! Happy October 1st!
You are doing very good guard duty ~ that is quite the lookout spot and awesome photos of you sweet kitty ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Good job checking on things. 🙂 XO
Keep an eye out and stay safe everyone! We’re sending out purrs and prayers for all in Ian’s path.
Hoping Ian behaved when he came your way!! Glad that Simon is on Lookout Patrol!
I was laughing because the expressions on Simon’s face are so very funny. He kept me giggling. It’s those big eyes of his that are so compelling. I think there’s some LOL-fodder here for sure.
Keep everybody safe, Simon!
We’re glad that the hurricane didn’t bother you much. Those stairs look like a great spot to watch the world go by.
You have beautiful eyes, Simon. You always look so serious.
Good job keeping a watch, Simon. It’s always good to be prepared, right?
Bella foto, ten un genial fin de semana.
Simon, are the ferals alright? Hope you only got some rain like we did this morning.
So cute! I’ve never seen a cat do that before.
Doesn’t the English language have some funny expressions? You just keep making sure the coast is clear, no matter how far away the real coast is, okay?
Ya looked a bit squeezed there! We prefer windersills and the deck door. And of course we get ta go out. But ya have ta look out where ya can…
You look like you need to call your lawyer.
You have to make sure that no intruders come near your place…and you have to make sure all is safe, near or far.
Wonderful photos. 😀
The “coast” is clear, BOL! BOL!
You’re so diligent and adorable at the same time. And you made me giggle. Love to you and yours, sweet Simon.
I can’t wait till you start your Santa Watch Simon, this is good practice for you xoxo Little Miss Titch
Your lookout is so cute, Simon and we’re so happy that you’re all safe from that hurricane🙏I don’t know about sisters, but we had to MOL too🙈😺Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞
Charlee: “Somebody has to be on guard duty, it might as well be you!”
From the photo on the wall, I see that you have or had a Siamese. I’ll bet they’re delightful cats.
I said it before, and I’ll say it again, Simon is adorable.
I’m so glad you didn’t sustain heavy damage from the hurricane.
