Hello gang, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today, as you can tell from my post title, I’m thankful for three things. Well, I’m always thankful for more than that, but I’m gonna mention three today. First up is some new-to-me food. I’ve been eating the same thing for a while now but just the other day I decided I wanted to try some of what the others eat. Well, the Dad served it up and, to my surprise, I really liked it. I’m thankful I got to have something different.
Secondly, I’m thankful for some new-to-me sleeping spots. At night, bedtime, usually Simon, Seal and Kiki head upstairs. I’m not sure why, but Simon and Seal have done that for a while. When Kiki came she started joining them upstairs at night. Well, yours truly decided I’d go up and see what they were up to. Sure enough, they were sleeping so I found a nice cozy spot and joined the SnoozyFest. The Dad wondered where I went off to and came looking for me. He was surprised I was upstairs with the others but I was thankful to find a cozy spot.
Last, but not least, I’m thankful for the many ducks that live at our lake…
They are fun to watch but they don’t always come and pay us a visit. Sometimes they show up unannounced and when they do it makes for some fun window watching. When the Mom goes walking she always talks to them, sometimes they quack back, sometimes they don’t. They were pretty good at doing the group Ussie though.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Awesome trio of thankfuls! Yummy new food, simply super snoozing spot and yes! those are fun ducks indeed! Cheers!
That’s great news about that new-to-you food, Brian. It’s always good to expand one’s palate. 🙂 And sometimes ya gotta switch up the sleeping spots, right?
Look at all those ducks! How fun they must be to watch!
Exploring new horizons, Brian…good for you!
I chuckled as I read that your meowmy quacks at the ducks; I’ve been known to attempt to chat with various animals that I chance upon too.
The time that I hooted at an owl and it hooted back was a real thrill!
New food and new cozy spots are great thankfuls. We love the ducks wherever we find them.
Thanks so much for hosting the Thankful Thursday Hop!
Always try something new! That keeps you young, Brian 🙂
Siempre hay que estar agradecido. lindos patos. Te mando un beso.
There’s nothing like a good snooze fest, Brian! And new food is always a pleasure. That is quite a lot ducks and I bet they are fun to watch!
So thankful for you hosting this Hop – we all need to remember that even in a world that sometimes feels “upside down” we have things to be thankful for!!
Hugs, Teddy
Brian I don’t know where to start. You have so many fun things today to be thankful for. I’m thankful for the Chipmunk that plays on my patio and I’m thankful that Lynn throws seeds out to it every day to make sure it can eat and I can watch. But I’m still eating the same old crunchies that Lynn put me on 3 years ago. But I don’t have anybody to share with so I don’t know the difference. Precious
We are thankful we don’t have ducks or geese near our lawn because the poop they leave is a real mess. They are beautiful to look at in other places. Glad you found some new things to try. Change can be a good thing.
New food, new napping spots and lots of ducks to watch? Sounds purrfect, Brian!
Brian, those are great things for which to be thankful! New food is always good, especially if you keep eating it and it agrees with you, and the more snoozing spots the better. Plus you have the bonus of all those ducks–that’s an awesome “tv channel”.
Brian, there’s something about your picture today that made Mom feel like she could reach out and touch you. She said it made her miss Cleo, her green eyed tiger cat, like you. Boy, those ducks look like they’d be a blast to chase! Oh, and the white Peking Duck made Mom miss Mickey, her white Peking duck when she was a kid. We think maybe we’ll just take her for another walk this morning. XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
Three wonderful thankful things. I’m glad you like the new food and joining the others for a sleepyfest is a good thing. We love ducks here too. All birds for that matter.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
Yay for trying out new sleeping places 🙂
Mum says warm air rises so sleeping upstairs is a good thing 😉
That is a lot of ducks!
We never had that many!
Purrs, Julie
I’m mom, and I’m thankful for Katie who is a faithful loving friend 24 hours a day, unchanging in love and sweetness. I’m thankful for the chill in the air, and I am thankful to head out of doors.
Those are pawsome Thankfuls!
Lulu: “We have ducks and geese at the park near us.”
Java Bean: “Yeah we see them on walks sometimes! I get all bouncy and want to play with them, but Mama and Dada say I wouldn’t have fun playing with geese. I don’t know why.”
Lulu: “Maybe because they’re bigger than you and would pummel you with their bills and wings?”
Java Bean: “No, that can’t be it …”
I am so glad you joined the snoozy fest. Thank you for hosting. Have a great day. XO
New food is always something to be thankful for and what fun to watch the ducks out your window! We are thankful to finally see the sun after days of rain and drear.
Brian OMCs you are living your very best life.
Little did I know last night that I’d be thankful to be able to visit my dentist today.
While eating popcorn I mistakenly picked up several pieces. One was not fully popped I did know what I did but I knew it did not sound good. Quick trip today and an xray showed a cracked a tooth. No pain thankful. I will have to get a crown next week.
Hugs Cecilia
You have some great views. Must be fun to watch the ducks. Are they noisy? Sounds like y’all found a wonderful place to sleep in a group hug. You are a family of lucky cats.
The best sort of people always talk to ducks of course!
New nommy food is always something to be thankful for! Of course, so are sleeping spots AND duckies!!

Gratitude is such a wonderful thing to share! Here’s hoping that Fall brings a bountiful season of blessings into your life! 🙂
Oh, isn’t it fun to sometimes join the group and sometimes it even makes thing so much more fun when you find a good sleeping spot. As for new food, you are like my kids were, I don’t know how many times I told them too just try it, they might like it.
We are thankful for old and new freinds!
It sounds like everything is coming up 7s and 11s for you. I hope it continues.
Oh My Cat, Brian, you look so sad in that pic! The bed upstairs isn’t the one your peeps sleep in? No wonder your dad missed you. I always sleep with TW and when I don’t come to bed right away, she worries I’m sick.
We love reading what you are thankful for every week and love your three new things, pawsome and thank you for the Blog Hop with hugs from Layla
I am glad that you uwent to join the others upstairs, Brain…and thaty you are enjoying new noms! Eat it up, duude…LOL!
We sometimes have little flocks of geese in the field across tthe street, but yesterday there was a large flock of wild turkeys. They need to be careful…its our Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday, and soon it will be the US one. This family celebrates both…petcretary is Canadian…does thst mean that us pups are too??
That’s some epic stuff to be thankful for dude! Today we’re thankful for warm beds, full tummies and epic furiends! Thanks for hosting and Happy Friyay to mew all!
Those are three great things to be thankful for! Those ducks would be quite entertaining to watch.
Brian you look a wee bit sad in your photo, but also darn adorable. Wish we had ducks to watch. We are always thankful for our friends, and Mom is thankful for the PTU she won, so if we ever have to “bug out,” she has enough for all of us.
Brian! What excellent thankfuls! Kozmo and Jo Jo and Cinnamon sleep in Mom’s bedroom. Kozmo and Jo Jo sleep on the bed. I slept with Mom until we moved back to Midway and I don’t want to share the bed with Kozmo and Jo Jo so I sleep in my cubby bed in the livingroom. We LOVE that you a new food too! And I gotta tell you, Ducks are da BOMB! I LOVE watching them as they are now heading south and stopping on our river. Purrs Marv
Great photos as always! I am thankful I still visit you here. You bring lots of joy to me. Thank you for that. Wonderful friends, human and meowing.
Those were some great Thankfuls, Brian, it’s always a surpurrize were we are😺 Glad you liked your new food, oh, and duckies are always a fun to watch. Wish we had them in our garden too😸Triple Pawkisses from us to you and have a wonderful weekend too🐾😽💞
Good for you! And ducks are fun to watch. Be well, precious.
I’m sorry my furiend, but you wouldn’t be thankful for the geese/ducks if you had to walk a dog like I do! We have TONS of them and walking Levi in the grass is like walking through a poop mine field! lol
